Hearts sack Jeffries!
Recently (Barring the Thomson fiasco) was the most settled ive seen Hearts in years, finally thought they had a management team that could work with Romanov.

Owain Tudur Jones signed
Have to say i was thoroughly impressed with his debut, looked very composed and has an oustanding eye for a pass. Once he familiarizes himself with the players and set up i think he'll be a very important player for us this season

Nick Ross
No one can argue it was a very bad day at the office for Nick however one bad game does not alter the fact that he was an influential part of our team for the majoiry of last season and still can be in the future. I think once he bulks up a bit and gets a bit stronger then we will see a lot more from Nick. He was dispossed too easy on Saturday and IMO he was wasted playing out wide. The only thing missing from his game last year was goals, he has the ability just lacked the experience to know when to pull the trigger There is real competition for central midfield (which i feel is his best position) this season and i think spur a lot of players on, maybe Nick got a little complacent after a pretty sucessful season last year in terms of appearances for such a young player however i'm sure Butcher will be on hand to keep his feet on the ground and push him in the right direction. Calls for him to be sent out on loan are pretty unfair if you ask me

ICT v Hibernian: Matchday Thread
i was going to write a long summary of my views of todays game but this sums it up exactly the way i saw it if we werent creating chances i would be a lot more worried, it just didnt click today and i put that partly down to the amount of newcomers in the team. Having said that the ref and linesmen were at fault of quite a few occasions and the ref should have at least given us one of the numerous penalty appeals we had. I think given a few weeks training together and another couple of games under their belts we have the basis of a strong team. I thought there were some very encouraging performances today, Piermayr looked strong in the tackle and read the game well. Jones looks an outstanding player, very composed on the ball and has a very good eye for a pass. Tansey looked a little quiet in the first half but came onto a game in the second half, he was very unlucky not to score near the end. Tade worked extremely hard and will cause SPL defences all sorts of problems with his strength Ross and Gillet didnt have great games however i am sure Terry will let them know in no uncertain terms that there is strong competition for both of their places and that should hopefully kick them into action i was certainly disappointed/frustrated after the game but upon reflection i think i have seen enough to conclude that we will gel sooner rather than later

Always delighted to hear one of our players get international recognition. Even more so when its a local lad who has a great future ahead of him

INS AND OUTS ?
Following the signing of Owain Tudur Jones, Terry is planning one more signing, a defender and by the sounds of it a deal could be done pretty soon: Butcher plans one more signing

Owain Tudur Jones signed
No problem, will remember to do so in the future. incidentally i had a composed a new topic with official site link and quote however it would not let me post. I tried to post the new topic about 4 or 5 seperate times but it wouldnt let me, it kept on saying enter text before posting, or something similar. Eventually it let me post but by then i had rewritten the post and forgotten the link

Following on from the rumours he has signed a one year deal with us FULL ARTICLE on ictfc.co.uk

Lee Cox injury update
Doesnt sound good: We could certainly do with Cox back in the side to add some steel in midfield. If Butcher is to continue with the midfield diamond formation then Cox sitting deep and Tansey playing further forward could be a productive line up IMO

Before the window closes ?
Im sure i read somewhere that he was keen to stay in England but i completely agree with you, an ambitious target but would be well worth it
-
Thomas Piermayr
Lateset update from the club: Interesting part at the bottom, certainly could do with new bodies to strengthen the squad

SFA Performance Awards Scheme
I didnt think it applied to capped players only? if this is the case then it would rule out a fair whack of young uncapped Scottish players playing in scotland at the moment, especially those playing in lower leagues. Unfortunately the majority of young scottish talent are stuck in the reserves or youth teams of big clubs without much chance of seeing first team action, my original view on this scheme was that it would try to encourage teams to play young scottish players although on reflection i think it will have little impact on bigger clubs such as the Old Firm etc

SFA Performance Awards Scheme
If he has represented Scotland then why wouldn't we be eligible? He may be eligible to play for the Scottish national side but strictly speaking he is not Scottish. I dont have a clue how the SFA would look at a situation like this

SFA Performance Awards Scheme
Just read this on the SPL website: Out of saturdays line up we had the following U21 players in the squad: Nick Ross Tom Aldred Shane Sutherland Graeme Shinnie Martin Laing Greg Smith Ross and Aldred started but i'm not sure if the latter is eligible (he was born in England however he has represented Scotland at U21 level), i would imagine we wouldnt have been eligible for ? on this occasion I'm sure at some point this season we will be fielding 2 or indeed more U21 Scottish players and therefore may well benefit from this scheme A good idea if you ask me and it is a step on the right track in encouraging SPL clubs to invest in Scottish youth players

Thomas Piermayr
there doesnt appear to be any info in the SPL Handbook (although i just had a very quick scan) I found this on the English FA website, i would have though the same rule would apply to us however:
