Are we a Championship club then ?
I've cut the rest, but basically I agree with everything you have said. What I'd throw into the mix, however, would be my view that we'd be a yo-yo side because the divisions are too small in size. 12- and 10-team divisions are just ridiculous. I was thinking about this before the match with Brechin. Yes, we are in the Championship and they are in the Highland League, but if you look at the teams' positions and the size of the divisions, then we are only 27 places above them. That's only 3 more than the size of each of the lower divisions in England, where a draw between two teams from different divisions may be unexpected, but is hardly a great shock. And, harking back to what Mr Bannerman, late of this parish, once said, I find it difficult to believe that there is enough support and spare money in the Highlands to maintain two top-12 clubs less than 14 miles apart. Clearly, it would be different if the top tier had, say, 18 clubs in it. Now that we are past the fight for survival through the pandemic, it is surely time to look again at league reform.

Brechin City - Challenge Cup
No replay - we have just won on penalties. I thought it would be tough against a confident team that is used to winning. But to lose a two goal lead is inexcusable.

Dundee Away
With Raith beating Ayr and Cove drawing with Partick, the results have gone pretty well for us today. Back in the top four!

Inverness v Morton - Preview
I understand you, and Dodds must take some of the blame. But - energy, pace, desire, leadership - there are 11 full-time pros on the pitch at any time. Surely they should be providing these qualities, regardless of what the manager does or says? Though maybe a call to Klopp to find out what he said to Liverpool would be a good idea!

Two blokes stranded on a desert island, with no way of contacting the outside world. "Caley Thistle got beaten again!" "How do you know?" "Back home, it's ten to five on Saturday".

Why did no one claim for the penalty just before they scored their 4th??? The ball clearly came off the Partick keeper and then struck a defender on his arm. McKay just shrugged his shoulders, and Partick went down the other end and scored. It wasn't a penalty against us either. Carson had his foot in front of the Partick forward's foot, and both missed the ball. The referee was absolutely terrible. Missed all the play-acting by Tiffoney, and the constant niggling by Graham. Right now I am so glad that I don't have to watch this every week.

Congratulations on New Club Record
I did wonder if STFU was Dougal under a new name

Don't read it then

Congratulations on New Club Record
There is nothing to stop the sole owners of the concert company - Morrison and Dalgarno - giving their profits to the football club. There is an awful lot to stop two directors of the football club using its assets to pay off the debts of another, separate company which they happen to own.

Congratulations on New Club Record
In normal operations in the music business, it's the promoter who carries the risk. The artists get paid and the venue gets paid, and the promoter is left with the bottom line - profit or loss. If the shows did lose £1M, and the football club (FC) and the Concert Company (CoCo) are really separate, then it may just be that the FC agrees not to be paid, in which case it doesn't lose anything more than the costs of the usual venue services, such as security, catering, etc, which it may well have paid for. However, a question is whether the CoCo borrowed a lot of money beforehand to stage the concerts, or if it now owes money to the artists, staging company, etc. In other words, are there other creditors seeking payment? My wife and I are not lawyers, but we think that if the FC and the CoCo are indeed completely separate - not parent/subsidiary or two subsidiaries of a common parent - then assets of the FC cannot be used to pay off the debts of the CoCo - unless the owners (shareholders) of the FC had beforehand approved a formal agreement that FC assets could be used in that way. If that had happened, then I think we would surely know about it, because the shareholders - including the Supporters Trust - should have had to vote on it. (Interesting related question - does the current Board of the FC control more than 50% of the shareholder voting rights?) The next CoCo accounts will be filed by the end of June next year, and the FC accounts covering July 2022 won't be filed until Feb 2024. So I tend to agree with caleyboy - in the absence of further information, there's no point in speculating.

The new season and the perils of planning ahead
Loganair fly between London City and Dundee, but I have no idea of the schedule or prices.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
I think that we will see the same maddening inconsistency that we have seen in recent seasons. We may well reach the playoffs, but won't win the league.

2015 Cup Final
I am sure that many of us have the DVD of the full match and the season. Last time I watched the final I still got very nervous during the second half

Pre-season friendly. Or progressive safety footwear Yes, I too googled it, before working it out.

Rugby at the Caledonian Stadium
Watching some of our woeful shooting, I often wondered if we were playing rugby.

Season Tickets 2022/23
Not necessarily. If enough people - or, in this case, clubs - want it, then things can be changed. Given that we have just had a lengthy period of no crowd restrictions AND live streaming, then it was the perfect opportunity to investigate whether crowds were adversely affected, or whether clubs actually made more money, very possibly through away fans who wouldn't have travelled anyway.

Season Tickets 2022/23
Very disappointing. I note that the announcement says "we are not allowed to show our home games". The implication being that it was not the club's decision, although there is no clue as to whether the club agrees or disagrees with the decision. Would be interesting to know what, if any, consultation with the clubs took place before any decisions were taken.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
I would add a reliable goalscorer - a proper striker. So basically we need people everywhere except in goal

Bring in the Crowds
It's not UEFA. Their rules allow national football associations to "request" (ie "enforce") blackout periods, but UEFA themselves don't mandate them. Last time we discussed this, there was only one European country outside of the UK which had a blackout period. Without checking, I think it may have been Montenegro. Somewhere like that, anyway. I had a quick look just now, and came across a recent article which said that the UK is the only place where a blackout is enforced. Not sure if that is accurate, or if the other country has dropped it. Some of the streaming sites have displayed the number of people logged in. Even in small games - not top of the table clashes - I think that numbers were comfortably above 200. If ICT had that, then that would be £3,000 coming in per game, which I would have thought would be enough to keep things going.

Bring in the Crowds
At the start of this season, when it wasn't clear if livestreaming would be available to anyone other than season ticket holders, I was perfectly prepared to buy a season ticket for a back corner of the North Stand, which I would never use. I shall be gutted if it goes. The last two seasons have had their ups and downs - and ultimately ended in failure, if promotion is the aim - but it's been a great journey.
