  1. Part of the "home advantage" thing was that the team were playing in front of (mostly) their own fans. Don't see why this should now become an issue!
  2. Exactly! The youth team should be developed as a feeder for the main squad and priority always given to players developed through our own youth system who reach a certain standard to progress to the first team.
  3. ". . .should any of the initial one or two home games have to be played behind closed doors, season ticket holders will have exclusive access to watch the games live on a Caley Thistle online channel. " - Quote from Ross Morrison's season ticket update Dunno if I'm a bit behind the times here but I think this is a great idea. Because of the nature of my work I tend to pay at the gate when I get an opportunity to see a game, rather than buy a season ticket which would be largely unused. If I could watch any of the home games live through an exclusive online channel that would be a game-changer for me though and would justify the cost of a season ticket. I wonder if there are many other supporters more likely to buy a season ticket were this facility extended throughout the season? Possibility of extra income for the club!
  4. If ever there was a time to support your LOCAL team, this is it!

In the majority of cases the only ambition is survival and no amount of league reconstruction is going to change that. Btw, I wonder if our neighbours across the bridge will ever make it into this table!
  6. Certainly the correct decision - keeping people apart will help stop the spread of the virus. Doesn't look good for the future of our team though. No income and lots of wages to be paid. How many of the smaller teams will fold if this crisis goes on?
  7. A strange one. It's blindingly obvious that Keatings was penalised in error, so what's the message? Are they trying to belittle the club - "how dare these sheep-sh****rs up there question our decision??" Something like that, maybe?
  8. The red dots are for the misplaced apostrophe!
  9. I'd much rather our own "colts" find their way into the first team, at TCS!
  10. I agree with IHE - let's not get complacent about the Sevco C**ts game. They've made it to the semi on merit too!
  11. Reckon we'll still take 7000+ to the Scottish Cup Final!
  12. Don't think the low attendances are much of a mystery - there's an SPL team playing about 15 miles away, representing a similar locality to ICT. We're playing teams like Alloa and Arbroath and they're playing Rangers and Celtic. A lot of floating support in the Highlands and it's pretty obvious where they'll attach themselves! I must admit I didn't share the joy of many on this forum when County were promoted to the SPL all these years ago, believing it would eventually be to our detriment!
  13. There's a big opportunity to garner a bit of favour in the Outer Hebrides where they all support either Rangers or Celtic (dependant on which Hebride - no imagination!) with just a token nod to the nearest "local" team, whether it be us or County. No harm in giving us the edge by showing a recognition of Gaelic, which is still widely spoken across the Minch.
  14. Just shows ya - there's always a way of misinterpreting a well-meaning, non-racist comment!
  15. Couldn't agree more. Contrary to many on here I thought it was quite an entertaining game. A bit frustrating in the end though, as despite our dominance, couldn't get that winning goal. At times it was like shooting practice for ICT. Take note though: plenty more shooting practice required! Still second in the league. No a bad team, all things considered!
  16. Thought we were a bit hasty in letting him go. Hopefully he's lived up to his potential.
  17. Not that long ago we were poaching County's best players - Hislop, Wilson, Cowie to name but 3 (The only 3 I can think of at the moment!). Just the way it goes - a higher division is more attractive and pays more. The only way we can keep players is by bringing them through our own youth system and instilling an unfeasible degree of loyalty into them - Inverness boys playing for Inverness - that sort of thing. Can't see it though!
  18. Don't think we should be wasting our limited resources bringing anyone in. We've got a decent squad, and talented youngsters waiting in the wings. A few more supporters turning up wouldn't go amiss though!
  19. buckett replied to Jack Waddington's topic in Caley Thistle
He was a failure last time Hearts poached him off us so can't see it happening again. That said, if they want him, why don't we do a swap and offer Craig Levein a job? Might work - horses for courses and all that!
  20. A bit of game time at a decent level - this can only benefit the young players, and hopefully ICT. Seem to remember a young nonentity being farmed out to Forfar a few years back for a bit of match experience and coming back as the great Barry Robson!
  21. Best response to end-of-season blues!
  22. Fair point - got ma terminology mixed up. Substitute "Premiership" for "SPFL" in the Opening Post.
  23. Winners of Irn Bru Cup. Beaten semi-finalists in League Cup Get nowhere in Scottish Cup. Steady start in the league and by January we're on top, closely challenged by Dundee United. By April we're well in front - automatic promotion to SPFL. That'll do me!! Oh aye, and Robbo gets poached by an SPFL club at the end of the season. Any more seers?
  24. Didn't realise Scotch Broth had been regionalised!!
