  1. Like everyone else, I'm pretty gutted in the manner we lost - losing on penalties isn't the best. But I'm immensely proud that we got to our first major cup final - getting through ET against Dundee Utd then the semi against Hearts was incredible. We were so close yesterday! I thought in the first half, Aberdeen were by far the better team. We gave them too much time on the ball and they looked very comfortable in posession with Flood and Robson running their midfield. In the second half, there was more urgency, we gave them less space and were passing much better. However, Aberdeen did always look dangerous. I thought we defended very well though and despite a few close calls, limiting Aberdeen's chances. Apart from the 20 minute period in the second half I thought we were not great. It seemed like we were playing the long ball up to McKay who was trying his best to pick up the scraps. Lots of effort but we needed a bit of quality. Watkin's effort in the second half was unfortunately quite comedy. I don't remember a real clear cut chance we created - will need to see the highlights. I thought the referee had an average game. Another referee could have easily sent Foran off with his committed tackles but he did the sensible thing in keeping him on the field. There were two incidents I thought were incorrect - Aberdeen's freekick just outside the box in the first half where we actually got the ball and Shinnie's yellow card. Overall, it's disappointing to lose on penalties, but so proud to get to the final. They have lots to be proud of - onwards and upwards!
  2. Just looking at the actual article itself, I'm with Ross Tokely on this one. A club he has been with pretty much his whole career and a legend with the fans, you would think he would be welcomed back. I didn't realise that he was booed at the game as I wasn't at the game, but this is very disappointing. I know he's playing for the county but even so, we should be respect him for his fantastic 16 years at Caley rather than booing him. The hundreds of games he has played in a Caley shirt for the cause. If Iain Stewart were up front and Jim Calder was in goals for Ross County would you be booing them?? I don't think so.
  3. +1 Totally agree with this. Everyone should be involved in creating the atmosphere not just a small group of fans.
  4. I've never taken the car to Celtic Park as I usually get the train there. However, I have parked at the WEST Brewery a few times on Glasgow Green. It's a good 20-25 minutes walk but never any problems there.
  5. BBC have anounnounced they're showing the county cup match on 1 December if people can't make it to the game!
  6. Aberdeen have beaten Kilmarnock 3-1 away, drew Dundee Utd 1-1 away and beat Dundee 2-0 home in October. We have beaten Ross County 3-1 home, 4-1 Dundee away and 1-1 St Johnstone. They've probably based it on Aberdeen's away fixtures. Terry should have won it really.
  7. I'll be there! Confident about the team. Hopefully we can make it a nightmare for them on Haloween!
  8. I remember when we were in the Third Division when we moved from Telford Street, we were pulling huge crowds - consistently around the 3,000 mark. It is obviously more expensive now than it was 15 or so years ago but I would we expecting a much greater attendance. What is everyone doing in Inverness at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon? I must admit, I am not going to many home games these days as I'm down in Glasgow but I woud have thought the next generation would be stepping up and supporting the club.
  9. According to the BBC News, there were over 6,000 at the game yesterday. I wasn't there but I'm guessing this must be tosh! Can anyone confirm?
  10. I see there were only 5 travelling fans at last night's game! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17683896
  11. Can you name your best Caley XI both current and past players?
  12. Superb! Well done ICT! Party on Saturday!
  13. It's been an amazing season! I'll send my congrats after Saturday's game! I didn't think we could top the table at one point when I think when we were sitting in the bottom half of the table at the end of 2009. But you proved me and many others wrong! It makes me proud to be an ICT supporter. Let's finish the season in style. Wouldn't it be amazing to officially win the league in Ayr and lift the cup in front of our own supporters and Dundee supporters after going the rest of the season unbeaten?
  14. I'm going plus hopefully six others!
  15. I hate county. That's all I have to say about that!
  16. Based on results earlier in the season, the remaining fixtures could have the below outcomes: ICT: QOTS A - Draw Dunfermline H - Draw Ayr Utd A - Win Dundee H - Draw Dundee: Partick A - Win Morton A - Win Raith A - Lose/Draw (Lost in cup, drew in league) Raith H - Win ICT A - Draw Based on that, ICT would be crowned champions with 67 points and Dundee with 65 points with everything coming down to the last game of the season again!! I'm hoping that our team won't put us through another tense last game and hoping our current 7 point cushion will be enough to give us less stress over the next few weeks! Come on the Caley!
  17. Me and four others are going! Any idea of parking round there?
  18. Fantastic result from the weekend. My throat was croaking after all that shouting once Imrie scored the winner! Don't fully agree with some of the ratings from Howden Ender: Fraser :003: :003: He had a couple of dodgy kick outs but apart from that I didn't think he did too much wrong. Tokely :thumb04: :018: ;) Excellent performance from the big right back. Loved the mazy run down the right to beat a number of Falkirk players in the 1st half. Maguire :015: :D I didn't think that he had the best of games. He made a number of mistakes and looked ordinary compared to young Jamie Duff. Possible mistake from him for the goal. Duff :P :021: :D :D Solid in the air. Won tackles and good distribution. Brilliant performance. Hastings :D :D :D Decent performance. Vigurs :D :D :D Promising player. Made a few decent runs down the right. I would prefer to see him on the left. Cowie :D :D :D :D Again, not sure why Cowie was made to play on the left and Vigurs down the right. I would prefer to see him on his favoured side. However, he put a superb shift in. Worked tirelessly. Black :D :D :D :D I thought that he was instrumental in the middle of the pitch. McBain :D :D :D :D Superb midfield performance from Roy. Committed to the max. Wood :D :D I saw some of the potential in the lad. However, yesterday far too many times, he kept losing posession. Rooney :D :D :D A decent performance. He should have put us way in front in the first half but his finishing was not up to standard. Give him time and I think he will be an excellent asset. Barrowman :D :D :D :D He held up the ball and his distribution was fantastic. Good performance. Wilson :D :003: Didn't see much of him when he came on. Gave the ball away late on to put pressure back on the team. Imrie :003: :003: :003: Got that cruicial goal.
  19. Hi all, Is anyone planning to go down to this game? I'm going but I can't decide whether to get public transport or drive (from Glasgow). Has anyone been to the ground before? Do you know where I can park if I take the car? Is it quite straightforward to get the train and walk to the ground? Cheers people! Donkey.
  20. Take note ICT ... Motherwell vs Aberdeen: ?5 for everyone ICT vs St Mirren: probably the usual 'B' match prices: ?25 in the Main Stand
  21. ... according to a St Mirren fan I was speaking to today. Apparently he's been signed on a pre-contract agreement and will move at the end of the season. Can anyone else verify this rumour?
  22. I don't know if anyone has seen these articles on the BBC website today regarding contracts, Niculae and Chester. We seem to be in the news quite often these days!
  23. Over the past month or so I've been having a bit of trouble getting access to the SPL Highlights (probably a good thing given our recent form). Whenever I click on any match it says that 'Cannot play media. Sorry, this media is not available in your territory.' Is anyone else having that problem?
  24. Yantorno has been released by Gretna. Although, I'm not sure how much use an injured player would be on the Caley Thistle books!
  25. Who's all going? I'm going with three others! Away attendence: 4 so far.
