  1. 1After consultations with FIFA, Italian qualifier US Città di Palermo was withdrawn by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) on June 6, 2006. Due to the ongoing match-fixing scandal in Italy, the FIGC could not officially confirm the 2005-06 Serie A standings in time for Palermo to compete in the Intertoto Cup. From Wikipedia Italy weren't due to enter until the 3rd round and Scotland were to enter in the 2nd round so don't know how that would have worked anyway. Seems to be all academic now anyway as plans procede for pre season in Tuscany. Anyway the 3rd round has a game on 22/7 and we are playing County that day. :001:
  2. MEE - It was suggested that the club would consider chartering a plane and selling the spare seats off to fans. I could possibly make it - not sure if I could do the whole week though. Off to check budget flights to Italy - I've never been there before.
  3. Yes I have already reached saturation point with 'England in the world cup' It is a shame as I might otherwise the tournament. Even the other games will have english commentary teams which will make the whole thing unbearable.

    next season strip?

There was a picture on here briefly. I didn't remove it, but I did PM the person who posted it and asked if they felt it was right to post it as we were aware that the club were trying to keep it under wraps. The picture was removed immediately. There was a suggestion that the design was changed at the last minute. I hope that this wasn't solely as the picture had been leaked on the old site. I know the club weren't happy about it. Everyone who has seen it seems to like it so it would be a shame if the design is changed just because of 1 person who saw fit to post the official design on the forum.
  5. Think it was the Highland News that said that Grassa was waiting for word from the SFA to confirm that they could recall Ikey if Brown was injured. If that is allowed then it would be good for him to get some first game action, but we still have him in reserve. Johnathan Smith would then probably get to play the reserve games giving him some valuable experience also. If we can have a recall clause then great, but otherwise I would like to keep him, but it must be very frustrating warming the bench to the extent he has.
  6. I would be very sorry to see Mike Fraser go anywhere, but how long can you sit on the bench for. Mark Brown has been impossible to dislodge from first choice. Maybe let him go to Livi on loan for a season to get some first team experience and then if Broonie goes anywhere we can have him back. I know Charlie doesn't like loan deals but this would be a good move. He can have Fox though. Not that I don't like him - he certainly has potential, but needs to work a bit harder at showing his capabilities.
  7. Today's installment in the P & J says that Grassa and Brew discussed it over a game of golf on Saturday. Not a million miles away from agreeing a fee for Proctor - who you can understand wants some first team football. But as far as Black goes they are still quite a bit apart in agreeing what he is worth. Brewster still wants him though, so we will see if they up the stakes. The article will be online later I'm sure. The P & J staff don't seem to get up very early in the morning. :014:
  8. I know the original plan was to hold it in June sometime. As the schools are still in then there will be less folk on holiday. Most families will have holidays during the school holidays. :019:
  9. NO NO NO I'm not back my holidays - well at least I don't think I am. Due back that weekend sometime but I don't know when. :009: :009:
  10. I have already read that in the newspaper

    THE Meeting.....

I believe they are meeting up on Saturday
  13. This seems like an apporpriate place for this post. Mainly for the non Inverness people out there. We have already established there are a lot of 'old' dalneighers on here. Lawrence Spence is a charachter known to a lot of you I am sure. Unfortunately he was found dead outside his house on Monday morning. He had gone home on Sunday night and fallen. He banged his head during the fall and it would seem that the head injury was fatal. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but thought it might be nice to share your memories.
  14. I could move it back but that would seem a bit childish as whoever moved it had a reason for doing so. It is football related, but non ICT. Don't suppose it matters really.
  15. Why was this moved. Surely it's non ICT enough to be allowed in there.

    next season strip?

They want to keep it under wraps to do a big official launch. In my mind it is costing them money, but then as the order has been delayed it might just be as well that we haven't parted with out money. Keep checking the club shop which is available on the official site (link bottom left of this page.)
  18. Under 15 SEASON TICKETS FOR ‘YOUNG BLUES’ Under the terms of membership for the Centenary Club, the children/grandchildren of current Centenary Club members who are aged under 15 are entitled to an extra discount on season tickets. This will continue for 2006/07 at the same rates as 2005/06 subject to the increase for the main stand (+£10). Thus the rates are: Main Stand - Child £130, Young Blue £100 North Stand - Child £80, Young Blue £70 Kevin Bissett - Child £60, Young Blue £45 To qualify for this reduction the applicant must meet the following: 1) The purchaser of the Young Blue Season Ticket must be the parent or grandparent of the child and be a current member of the Centenary Club. This can be confirmed by production of a current Centenary membership card or check against the Centenary Club membership records. 2) The child must be aged under 15 as at 1/8/2006, ie born after 1/8/92. next season strip?

    End of June I believe
  20. All I can suggest is that you raise these comments directly with the club via the official site which can be accessed by the link on the bottom of the left hand side of this page. Might be too late for this season if they have started going on sale now, but it might help for next season. The other thing I noticed is no early bird incentives which could make the club quite a bit of money. But then again the announcement was so late (by far the latest in the SPL) so I suppose there might not have been time for an early bird scheme. CONTACT MIKE SMITH
  21. I would imagine that renewal forms will be sent out to existing season ticket holders and their seats are being held until mid June. For new applications I would suspect that they might be available now. Contact the ticket office on 01463 222880. I have sent an E-mail to Mike Smith seeking clarification on a couple of point to do with the season tickets. I will let you know when I get a response.
  22. A child is a school child as long as they are at school. When they are at college or university they are a student
  23. GUZZ I was waiting to see how you were getting on before adding my name. I'll take 2 shares - one for each of the kids. Alan Grant Lynn Grant Cheers
  24. The Centenary Club is a bit like the lottery. You know that the week you don't do it is the week your number comes up. Best stick with it. I've only won once in 10 years or more, but my kids have enjoyed parties, fun days, cinema visits at Christmas and the Young Blues on a Monday night at the High School. (finished for the closed season, but will hopefully return soon) On top of that the saving on their season tickets is a bonus too as we are in the main stand and save a bit. Altogether I feel I have good value for money from the Centenary Club over the years (even if I haven't won much :009: )
