  1. You are early on the go today Scotty!!! Yes I noticed that too. I have seen a number of comments that they want the official site to be the first port of call for the fans. I am however pleased that they have a dedicated member of staff responsible to updating the official site, so we might actually have a reasonable resource. You know only too well that the communication side of things was where there were massive problems. Hopefully the sites will work together to provide the fans with an all round service.
  2. LIVE ONLINE (from Saturday's programme) WITH FIONA MCWILLIAMS WHY IS THE CLUB HAVING A NEW OFFICIAL WEBSITE? The club has a great relationship with Scott MacKenzie who has run the previous site so well for the last 10 years particularly impressive considering he has been in Canada for the last four years. However it was agreed by both parties that it was difficult to have an official website that included a fans forum which is often critical of the club and it's operations. Scott whilst disappointed at the decision has been very supportive of myself and the work I have been undertaking. The new arrangements wit PTV give greater opportunity for the club to offer new media services on a commercial basis. WHO APPROACHED YOU TO PUT TOGETHER THE NEW OFFICIAL ICT WEBSITE? I've been with the club for nearly three years joining fom Ross County. I was firstly involved in running the community programme in the local schools and the Hot-shots and then latterly coaching and administrating with the youth teams under the guidance of Danny MacDonald, which was all very enjoyable. About five months ago I was moved over to the operational side of the business by Mike Smith, Chief Executive. One of the main roles was to help extend the communication culture within the club both internally and externally. Also involved with this switch was to help progress the new official club website and also in the meantime put together content on the temporary official site which has been running alongside the unofficial site. HOW MUCH WORK IS INVOLVED DAILY AND ARE YOU ENJOYING IT? It varies from day to day, some days are busier than others. It really depends on what is happening around the stadium and if there are stories breaking or if match reports need to go up for any of the squads that have played. Obviously during pre season things could be quite quiet but at the moment there are always stories to be put together as the start of the season is a busy time for everyone at the stadium. I am also adminstrating the Centenary Club on behalf of the committee since Charlie took over as manager so that takes up time too. I am really enjoying both sides and it's been great to learn different sides of the business at the club which can only aid my development for the future. HOW DO YOU GET INTO IT AT THE MOMENT AND WHAT ABOUT THE FUTURE? As of today we are now live on the official site and it can be reached at www.ictfc.co.uk. The website is run with premium TV and they are very experienced in the sporting website business. They also run the SPL, Rangers, Hearts, Newcastle United and over 90 english football league sites. For the future we will be looking to run audio and video sections for matches and interviews. WORKING WITH THE CLUB ON A DAILY BASIS MEANS THAT EVERYTHING THAT GOES ONTO THE SITE WILL BE UP TO DATE. THAT MUST BE AN ADVANTAGE? Yes, it's a huge advantage and it means we can put up stories and information as they are happening. It's important that I know what is going on in each department at the club so I am aware of something before it happens so that we can tell the fans about it. It also gives me greater access and insight to stories within the club that are maybe not breaking news but the fans would still like to know about too like the youth information. WHAT ABOUT MATCHDAYS. DO YOU PUT A MATCH REPORT ON TO THE SITE AS THE GAME IS HAPPENING? Yes since the pre-season games against Sheffield United and Ross County I have been putting up match reports both home and away live with the updates going onto the site when something significant happens. Before the match I will post a preview on the game along with the team line up, then a half time report and full-time report. Shortly after the final whistle I will also get Charlie's comments on te game and they will do up too. HOW ARE YOU ENJOYING THAT SIDE OF IT AND ARE THERE ANY DRAWBACKS GOING LIVE? This side of it has been really enoyable, getting to watch and report on all the matches home and away as part of our job is a major plus for me being a fan of the club. It's also a really important part of the website so that fans who cannot get to the match but have access to the internet know how the team is getting on up to the minute. There are a couple of drawacks with going live, firstly things can happen so quickly during matches that you can somethimes miss something or forget who crossed the ball for a goal so you may need to leave part of the build up out of the live report. To counter this ew put another match report up on a Sunday from club historian Ian Broadfoot which is fully factual and includes the attendance, man of the match etc. Secondly there maybe technical hitches which may stop me from putting up stuff live as it happens, this actually happened at the recent Aberdeen game when a problem with the mobile networks meant I could only put up a half-time and full-time report but not up to the minute stuff. HAS THERE BEEN MUCH FEEDBACK FROM THE FANS? So far there hasn't been much but we haven't realy promoted the fact that we are doing this for games, however with the new site we will be telling people about it and hopefully we will get more feedback then. The staff at the club have been keeping an eye of the content and they have been telling me whether they think something is good or bad which has been a help to me. I am still learning as I go along and it's been a steep but enjoyable learning curve so far. FINALLY. HOW DO YOU SEE IT PROGRESSING AS THE SEASON GOES ON? I'd like to think that now we are fully operational with the official site that the fans will use this as their first port of call when looking for the latest unique news on the club. apologies if there are any typos but I did this in a bit of a rush, for those of you who didn't get a programme on Sunday

    Dods

The forres branch of the supporters club have been running for a while now and run buses to all home games. It is indeed encouraging to see them make the effort. Recently there have been fans from the Caithness area trying to organise something similar. I still think we would make more money at the gate if we reduced our prices. Hearts tickets this coming weekend are £15 and £10, quite a bit more affordable for a family than our prices. Lower prices - bigger crowds - better atmosphere - more money. Seems simple to me. Anyway back to Dods. I don't mind him moving nearer home, but Dundee Utd is a really risky move for anyone at the moment. Brewster can't buy a win, so how much longer will he be their manager???? Then what happens to the players he brings in?? Think I might prefer a little job security even if it is at a lower rate of pay.

I can understand his personal reasons for wanting to go nearer home, but the money has got to be the issue. If you were offered 2 or 3 times your salary for doing the same job would you want to take it.

    car park madness

Could well have been the company I work for. The only reason they would stop taking bookings is that they would have had enough bookings for the number of cars on shift. Also the traffic comes to a complete halt, so the turn around of cars takes longer. Better to say they couldn't take any more bookings than take your booking and not turn up on time, or even at all. I work with City Taxis (01463 222555) and it does sound like that could have been us. I do know they were particularly busy. Drivers like me took the day off. :001: :001:

    car park madness

There is no doubt that the car park is a shambles, but the annoying thing is it could be sorted. If it was well managed and people were a bit more patient it would all clear much faster. There are much bigger car parks than ours around the country that work. We were in one at the end of last season - the parking of cars and the exits were well managed - you had no option but to wait your turn and the car park was emptied very efficiently. If you can see that the stewards know what they are doing and that they are doing their best then there is no problem with waiting your turn. But when the stewards haven't a clue and are more interested in chatting about their plans for the weekend than watching the traffic that's where the frustration and cheating comes into play. That's the annoying thing for me. If it was better managed it would work. We are very fortunate to have a car park at the ground, so it's a shame we can't or won't use it.

    car park madness

Cheers Scotty - great advice. :driving01: Fer fecks sake never drive to a game...just feckin drink. - Also great advice IHE. We took a taxi down to the stadium yesterday, but just decided to walk back up the town and enjoy the banter. The craic was good and we had a couple of beers in Rileys before catching a bus home. I really enjoyed my day yesterday (and I suppose the result helped)

    Ian Black

I agree. Hibs would be a step in the right direction, but IMO any player going to Dundee Utd is taking a backwards step. I can understand Proctor going as he is more likely to get 1st team football there. Dundee Utd have been a bigger club than ICT but right now they are struggling to achieve any sort of success and have increasing debts. Financially we are more stable and on the park we have performed better. So how can Utd be a step up??????
  9. You know he'll be well looked after here. He could have gone to a much worse place than Inverness. Welcome Jnr - the old man is just jealous that you left him behind. Life is getting a bit lonely down in Englandshire. :001: :001:
  10. I have asked on the Dods thread that personal abuse stops in both directions. The majority of posters don't find it at all interesting or funny (even when it's meant to be). Hopefully it will calm down now and we can all get back to enjoying reading the posts instead of getting caught up in the cross fire. I'm sure they love you really. MEE .............. Dods

Fair enough but she hates my guts :001: Can we please try to refrain from getting so personal in posts. This has no relevance to Dods whatsoever. Let's try to remain on topic as far as possible. I know MEE quite well and wouldn't take exception at her more risky posts as I can see where she is coming from, but I can also understand that if you don't know her you could quite easily be offended by her comments. The same applies in reverse, some of the comments made in her direction are equally offensive. Maybe they are meant to be 'Banter' but as I said banter doesn't always come across well in text. So can you all just kiss and make up and try to remain on topic, which I think was Dods!! We have had a few people contact admin about the content of these posts so please if you must insult each other can you do it by PM. And let's get back to talking football.
  13. I suspect we might reach capacity on Sunday. !!!!!!!!
  14. Cheers for the update. I just couldn't make it along tonight as I really had to work. Next time hopefully. Glad to hear Proctor played. He is still a few weeks short of full fitness, so I say keep him as we really need cover and as has been said elsewhere he can play in a few different positions.

    Dods

I think the problem is that he wants to go to Utd. If another club came in for him I think they would let him go. They have told Utd that he is not for sale so they seem to be trying another route to get their man. Brewster is known to be stubborn and act like a spoilt child, but David Sutherland isn't likely to back down either. A real battle of the wills.
  16. He has left the building. Official Site Hope he finds a club soon.
  17. I had to vote better, although I think it's only improved a little, but as RIG says it would have been hard to be any worse.
  18. come join us in the chatroom
  19. Happy with the team. They all know that they have to be at their best, as we have plenty cover. Let's get this Aberdeen Hoo Doo off our backs today and take all 3 points
  20. £80,000 is a good bit of business
  21. Were you sitting quietly in the corner with your family at the Innes. If that was you I did speak but didn't introduce myself. Hope to see you again on the 12th.
  22. Tony Low has been a youth coach with the club for quite a while now (at least a year but probably more)

    Dods

Charlie mentions Dods in the P & J today and he hopes that the fans give him their full support for the remainder of the time he spends at the club. He has been a solid player for us and doesn't deserve a hard time for wanting to spend a bit more time at 'home'. I hope he goes to any club other than Utd though. Might be worth considering cashing in during the January window, but lets wait and see what the situation is then. We will be in a much better position to make a decision by then. Meantime he remains the ICT MACHINE, and deserves our support until such times as he moves on. :clapping04: :clapping04: :clapping04:
  24. I think Dennis did okay last week. Dennis's skill is second to none when he has the ball at his feet. He isn't always very strong in a challenge, but when the ball is played to feet he rarely loses it. He showed quite a bit of this against St Mirren last week. I think he merits a start. Rory is more physical and would be better placed as a sub to come on later, depending on how things are going. Rory is still young and this will be quite a big game, so Dennis should start IMO. The other point is re the teamlines released to the press. I think this might be a tactic of Charlies so that the opposition can't prepare fully. The team lines that were released last week didn't bear much resemblence to the team on the park. :004:
  25. Have a great day and bring us back 3 points please. No better time to beat the Dons. If only to shut the critics up. So come on 3 points please.
