P&J suggests otherwise. New deals on offer for all 5 players being touted by Utd. Charlie to meet with Brew on Thursday to see where they stand. SEE HERE

>>Teacher: "Good morning children, each Thursday we're going to have a > general knowledge quiz. The pupil who gets the answer right can have Friday and >>Monday off and not come back to school until Tuesday." >>Wee Jock (a typical Scottish twang) thinks, "Ya bassa. This is gonnae be a dawdle, come ahead ya >>radge, a lang weekend fir me.' >>Teacher: "Right class , who can tell me who said'Don't ask what your > country can do for you, but what you can do for your country?' >>Wee Jock shoots up his hand, waving furiously in the air. You may stay off Friday and Monday and come back >>into class on Tuesday." >>Wee Jock loses the plot altogether, tips his desk and throws his wee chair >>at the wall. He starts screaming: "Where the f*** did all these English >>b*****ds come from?" >>Teacher looking round the class: "Who said that?" >>Wee Jock, grabs his coat and bag and heads for the door, "Bonnie Prince >>Charlie, Culloden, 1746. See yous on Tuesday."

The announcement on the front page carries the expected young blues prices. They should be 25% off the school child price. Obviously no confirmation on this as yet. As far as I know the plan was to leave families in the main stand in their seats until they naturally out grow them. Any seats that are released in this area are to be sold at full main stand price. That was the plan, but again I haven't heard anything to confirm this is still the case. Things don't seem to be getting better, in fact this announcement of prices could even be later than last year.?!?!?
-
Well done for getting a reply. I wonder why they bothered putting the main stand prices up. It's only £10, but for a family of 4 I'll be an extra £40. There used to be a family package but that was done away with this year. Even if they agreed to leave the child price the same it wouldn't be so bad It's good that we now have the information, but it's appauling that we have had to get this information through a 3rd party. We have no excuse for being by far the last SPL club to announce prices.

ET says in the P & J today that he won't entertain 6 figure sums. No negotiations have taken place at board level - not even for Proctor. He says that Brew has at least a dozen and a half names he is interested in so he won't be paying high transfer fees. Looks like we might not lose them after all - well not this season anyway.
-
2nd part was tonight. Did anyone catch it? I forgot all about it as I had to go to work. My nice family noticed and taped it for me so I'll watch it in the morning
-
I believe that the order has been delayed until the end of the month :009:

There will be a cut of point, probably about 4 weeks after they go on sale. Just a guess. Think there could be some seats available though. Section F which is the old family section will inevitably have 1 or 2 seats as the people who had family section seats there were left there to outgrow their seats. Any new seats sold in this section are sold at full main stand prices. As their children grow they have the choice of moving to the North Stand or paying the full price. So every year should see a few of these seats released. They may even try to move them all out to the North Stand as these are seen as premium seats. I hasten to add that this has not come from within the club - purely my opinion.

He could be worth £100,000 to us, just by scoring a few goals to achieve a better league position. He has just had the best season of his career in Inverness and he is enjoying his football. Why leave (unless the money is too much to refuse).
-
I have just checked all the other SPL sites and we are the only SPL club to not have announced the new season ticket prices. Most other clubs have had them on sale for a while now with early bird offers. Haven't checked all of the 1st division, but the clubs I have checked have their information available. I really feel that this information has to be available prior to the end of season to catch the fans before the break. I have always made excuses for the club in the past - SPL in Aberdeen - rushed return to Inverness etc etc. But I think the excuses have run out now and we need to get up to speed behind then scenes. I still expect an announcement shortly (possibly later today), but I think that's too late. There is a lot of administration to be done to process the renewals and any new applications. It looks like it wil be last minute as usual.

I believe that there is a possibility of next season's season ticket prices being announced by the club today. Watch this space!!

Alex - David Sutherland said himself that there are plans in place to buid a smaller stand on the west side of the pitch. As CaleyD has just said it won't be as big as the current temporary stands, but it will be built as a family enclosure. This is to save there being a problem with the gas and also emergency access. The A9 is also a problem. There was a possiblity that the 'wings' were going to be covered during this closed season, but this is now not happening. I'm sure it will happen eventually, but I believe that the decision has been taken by the board not to tackle this at this stage. So we start next season exactly the same as we left it.
-
Okay - Portugal are not taking up their place, so is that not all we need. There are still a few countries not yet decided, so is it just a case of which round we enter, rather than if we do or don't. If Portugal don't use their place and we are first reserve then surely we are in regardless of the other results.

Well done to all our angels. T-shirt sales along with some donations and proceeds from a raffle on the bus, has raised over £350 for the Little Angel Appeal. Unfortunately we didn't catch up with Brooks yesterday as he must have got caught up with the media. We were a bit swamped oursleves with TV crews and photographers. :001: Here is some evidence courtesy of the News and Star paper which is local to Gretna. CHARLIES ANGELS

Fantastic day out - who cares what the result was. I thought Gretna were just going to sneak a winner in the last few minutes of the 90, but it wasn't to be. Excellent day - no trouble - in fact a great mutual respect between the fans. I was pleased that Gretna gave a good account of themselves but when it came to penalties I thought Hearts would win. Alan Main was outstanding for Gretna today as were most of the team

Sounds like they had a fairly positive meeting this week and they now have more regular meetings which can only be a good thing. Just need the season ticket prices now and we will all be happy (well I hope so anyway)

David Sutherland had done this weeks press conference and the main points are as follows: (especially for those of you who are outwith the Courier circulation) John Rankin - No increased offer will be made, but the current offer remains on the table until he decides what he wants to do. Players In/Out - The board have agreed a buget and CC will have money both to offer better terms to the players and to bring in 2 or 3 new faces if required. Brewster admits that he wants some of our players as they played well for him, but he has to get rid of some of his dead wood first before he can look into it. David Sutherland's response. 'They like it here, are treated well and are happy in their work, so why would they leave all that behind for the cauldron that is Tannadice?' :003: Well Said Further good news: Flight charters have been investigated for either Intertoto or European summer training camp. Spare seats might be made available to fans to travel with the team. A very sensible idea and I'm sure it would be a popular one.
-
I think that there may be an announcement on Monday regarding season tickets. There were one or two things to consider which would affect the pricing. I think that the board have agreed figures now, but one or two minor issues to resolve before an announcement can be made.

I suppose ET thought he was on to a good thing with Brew 'the player' as well as the manager. He was probably hoping Brew would put a few in the back of the net and that might just have made the difference. Unfortunately the curse of ICT hit earlier than expected when he broke his leg. :007: I wouldn't want to wish him any harm, but how long will it take for these guys to realise that they should stay put for a while. I still understand why he went, but it was too much too soon. Sounds familiar.

Read an article this morning online somewhere that the only player they have paid money for this season was Steve Tosh and that was only £20,000. They haven't paid big money for players but they do earn good money and it looks like they are in for a mega bonus. He said that he never tells them what their bonus will be as they trust him to do well by them. TIMES ARTICLE HERE Mileson believes his team — the first one from the third tier of Scottish football to reach the cup final — can grow even more but he tires of the label that Gretna have bought their way to two success. “That pisses me off,” Mileson said. “Rowan does not get the credit he deserves. This cup final side has only had one player in it that we’ve paid cash for and that was £20,000 to Aberdeen for Steven Tosh. We have brought in Alan Jenks and Martin Canning [from Stranraer and Ross County] with an eye to next season.

Just watched it as I was working last night. The really are a revelation. Good luck to them. Another spooky moment though - what was the name of the programme that followed - LITTLE ANGELS. A programme about a family with triplets. :001:

Best form of defence is attack. Rather than delete the thread, I think everyone has dealt with it well. I agree, there are no worst players. They are a team and they work as a team. I know of one player who gets pelters from the support, but he is very much appreciated by the team. Not every player can be a Dargo and score 20 goals a season, but they all have a job to do and do it well.

David Sutherland talked about the prospect of an SPL 2, but felt that the idea was dead on it's feet as the SFL were expected to vote against it. The idea was for the more ambitious 1st division clubs to make the move up a step, but it's not looking likely
