  1. In many pub quizzes the prize is double the TOTAL takings - a prize of double the winning teams entry fee would be very very poor. This would make for some very serious competition which would take away a lot of the 'fun' element. Don't get me wrong I expect peoples competitive edge to shine through, but not to that extent. As CaleyD says it is essentially a fund raising event and we have no money to make from the bar, so paying out double would be ridiculous
  2. Think this has been discussed elsewhere, but there are a few buses booked into the Tulloch Instutute which has a large car park and is walkable to the ground. They will be doing some food and kids welcome. I know there are Dundee buses booked too, so the banter should be excellent
  3. Enjoying what I have read so far. Deliberately haven't picked it up today as I know I won't be able to put it down. It was great to see him looking so well and speaking so frankly about the highs and lows of his life.
  4. Are kids allowed to enter ? No reason why not.

  6. Me plus 4
  7. Looking forward to a day out with the Double Sneckers :-)

I know where I could get a deal on inflatable sheep. Give me an idea how many we need and I'll get a price and set up a paypal link.
  9. We'll be there. Down your neck of the woods at the moment, travelling up to Ayr on Friday and staying until Sunday, so let me know the preferred watering hole.
  10. Well I don't think you were at a different game as you were only a couple of rows in front of me, so it must have been your concentration that blocked your hearing. I don't think for a minute it was the people walking out that was the problem, although it may have inflamed it slightly. There are some people who sit around us who moan constantly and shout at Butcher. Get this player off he's Cr*p, put someone else on, come on Butcher sort this out, etc etc etc. As for his outburst, I have mixed feelings. 1. I think that it showed passion and the fact that he cares as the pressure certainly got to him. 2. I think that he should have tried to keep his cool for just a few minutes more and not reacted, but I can understand why he did it. 3. There was a personal retaliation from Butcher towards a specific fan, which was again inappropriate, but how long do you think you can keep niggling someone without getting a reaction. I actually think that his actions will further agrivate the situation, and now that the fans responsible see they can get a reaction I think they may be worse than ever if things don't go our way on Saturday. From another point of view, we have had fans banned from games for less.
  11. Excellent Yngwie. Thank you. I have booked for 50 people, so would people please let me know if you would like to take a group, or indeed phone them directly on the above number. The Dees do already have 2 buses booked in, so there will be a limit on numbers. Should be excellent banter. Short walk to the ground and plenty parking.
  12. Cheers Yngwie. I'm going to see if I can organise somewhere that'll put on a little buffet or some reasonably priced grub as well as providing a venue. Do you know of any clubs around the area who would appreciate the extra revenue. Bowling/Golf clubs for instance.

Well I received a text from him at 11.15am yesterday saying he was getting drunk - he tried to tell me the text had been delayed from Sunday night when he was socialising, but then he would say that.

Last I heard was that Eric was a bit ahead of Dougie and had returned to training. We should see him back soon and hopefully dougie won't be far behind
  16. Tonight I believe - unfortunately I can't be there, but there will be Trust representation

I think I can help you out here, but not at the moment. I think if you can hang on a bit your wish may come true. :P
  19. If you can, buy your tickets in advance for the area you want to sit it.
  20. I would suggest that to avoid overcrowding, that if you want to sit in these areas, then please buy your tickets in advance for the area you require.
  21. I understand how you feel Kev. We can't meet until later in the week as Mike Smith is away on business. I would hope this might clear the air and provide some guidelines for Sunday
  22. I kinda think that section G is to be targeted no matter what the other parts of the grounds sing/shout. Kinda get that impression aswell, but f*ck it, why should we back down to the PC Brigade? Anyone saying the lads in Section G are targetting and racially abusing the C*unty fans really need to get a grip. It's merely football banter, and should be IMHO, part and parcel of the game and rivalry between the teams. Roll on Sunday. I have to say that I feel discrimiated against. We pay a premium to sit in the main stand, but section G get all the stewards.
  23. Travelling people do now have an official 'race' So direct abuse could be seen as racist
  24. Like yourself mainstander, I'm not judging. What must happen though is that we must treat unacceptable behaviour in the away stands in the same way. I'm not even being specific but on this occasion do you honestly believe that there won't be bad words ringing out from the away support. I acknowledge that there is a fine line between banter and abuse, but we need to clarify where the line is drawn.
