  1. I didn't think you were critisicing, just thought I would try to clarify some of the differences. There are lots of different ideas and we do a wide variety of events, the race night is just an unfortunate coincidence. The Trust held one this time last year and didn't repeat it as we had planned in March/April time as we were made aware of the Clubs plans to hold one, so we avoided the clash. By the time I heard the supporters club were planning arranging another one, we had already booked for September so it's just an unfortunate co-incidence. I'm sure there are enough people in Inverness to cope with the two nights.
  2. Izzy - you are absolutely right. Unfortunately as it stands both organisations are completely independant of each other. Both have completely different roles and raise money for different purposes, although there are a number of members common to both groups. Supporters Trust raises money for a wide range of things including purchasing of shares within the club to give the fans a bigger voice. We already have a 10% voting right as well as substantial amount of actual shares. We have sponsored the Street League this season to encourage grass roots football, we are subsidising the cost of the youth team buses for the coming season as well as a few smaller community projects. We have again purchased a group of season tickets for this season where we invite schools and youth groups to come along to games and hope that some return with their families in the future. Throughout the year we try to organise a wide range of events so that hopefully there is something for everyone. The Supporters' Club as far as I know also have a shareholding in ICT and do a fantastic job running the Supporter's Buses for all away games. The costs are ever increasing and I'm sure their fundraising will go towards subsidising the travel for our fans. There is no doubt we have the short straw when it comes to travelling to away games, so hopefully this will help to ensure that these buses can continue at a reasonable price to encourage their use. Lady Fraser does a fantastic job of organising these buses and rarely misses a game herself so I'm sure she will appreciate your support. I would hate to see a Trust v Club situation, but hopefully I have explained a little about the different organisations (although I am in no way qualified to speak on behalf of the supporters club and I'm sure someone will be along very shortly to correct me if I have spoken out of turn :-) ) I'm sure both nights can be a success
  3. Yes plenty scarves. I'm sure we'll have some available on the night as that is the plan. Usual pubs should be covered by board members selling scarves prior to the Hamilton game.
  4. Yes you'll still get tickets. By phone 01463 222880, in person at the stadium, or online at ICT Official Site HERE
  5. It would seem we have 2 different events. Supporter's Trust Race Night on the 12th September and the Supporters Club are having one on the 26th of September. The Trust almost booked the 26th but then we realised that some of us had a prior engagement. Your not the only one confused, the guy who does the race nights almost cancelled the Trust date as he assumed it was moved to the 26th and didn't realise it was different altogether. Shame they are so close together but that can't be helped.
  6. :018: The dreaded number 6 Think you'll be busy on the 26th Sept CaleyD - I know I am. ;)
  7. Hope you are in town on the 12th then Tug, as the Supporters Trust have a race night booked in the Caley Club that night. Details to follow at the beginning of the week.

Very good post Scotty. Don't forget the 2nd instalment of his signing on fee. :004:

ICT couldn't put him to Germany if he didn't want to go there. He would have been quite entitled to just stay in Inverness and see out his contract. Transfers have to be by negotiation. We'll no doubt hear all about it when it's all over.

Where does it say that Marius has agreed to waive his fee? I think you will find that is not actually the case, so it might not be such a bad piece of business after all. Remember he just got married and wants to settle back home in Bucharest, so I'm sure it's not all about money. We might have released his papers, but I'm fairly certain that this isn't over just yet.

ICT made their statement later on last night, which says it has now gone through. I think that there could still be some discussion over Marius's 'cut'.

Neither yet as far as I understand. I think the saga could still continue, although we seem to have accepted the fact that he is away and released his papers.

Steve Cairns is not employed by Orion, he has his own company called ROM Services. Introduced as S C Business Development Manager with Orion. He may have his own business rather than employed as such but he was speaking as an Orion person.
  14. L_G replied to Harry Chibber's topic in Caley Thistle
You are right we did not give them away Orion did buy them. I don't think this saga has ended just yet.

Steve Cairns from Orion was on MFR news this morning, saying that Dinamo have completed their part of the business, but Marius is refusing to sign the waiver. I can only assume that the agreement to waive the fee (if indeed it exists at all) must have been verbal. If it was in a legal document he wouldn't have the right to refuse. Rumours do suggest that it is a fairly substantial amount and if we haven't got it written in stone, then no court in the land will make a judgement in our favour. We'll no doubt have to pay up and could even be fined by Fifa or Eufa for misconduct. As I said above, we have given 12% of our club to Orion into the bargain. So I'm not sure if it has all been a good move for ICT. It did serve it's purpose for Marius and Orion have done alright out of it, but I think in the long term ICT have lost any benefits they might have had, by the poor handling of this whole saga.

Let's take these figures as read as they seem reasonable estimates. Was it worth it? Financially - maybe. :024: Remember that in return for their investment Orion received a 12% stake in our football club, so I ask again 'Was it worth it'? :024: Might have made a few quid, but 12% is a large share of the club so 'Was it worth it'? :024:
  17. Why do you ask? How many do you need? As a Trust we didn't want to take on much of a risk, so we ordered a relatively small amount that we were confident would sell out completely. I would expect to have some available on the night of the game but the initial response has been good, so we can't guarentee it.

Kenny is now back working with Tullochs. He did a lot of good work as an ICT Director and it would be good to have him back on the Board in the future. I agree that Kenny is a good guy and would be a welcome addition if he decided to return to the board, but as far as I am fairly sure he has not returned to Tullochs and is in fact enjoying some time out on holiday with his family.
  19. Reedee, I stay not too far from you if it's easier you could pop round and pick one up from mine.
  20. Thank you Scotty - much appreciated. :003:
  21. Yes Tom, I put them down earlier
  22. Fair comment Scotty. If you would like me to send you one I'll put it in the post and let you know the actual cost and you can pay me directly. I think you have a reasonable excuse for not attending the game. :003:
  23. L_G replied to Harry Chibber's topic in Caley Thistle
I have heard far too many versions of events to even guess which one is the right one. :017: :017:
  24. No worries Tug - consider it done
  25. We are looking into the logistics of setting up a Trust Paypal account, but I do have a personal paypal account if anyone wants to use that. Alternatively they will be available mail order from the club shop. (I believe p & p is cheaper for telephone orders than it is on internet orders)
