Lizi You are spot on. I was having a conversation about this with someone last night. I think it has to be held by September as that's when his testimonial year ends.
-
I don't suppose they took your visits to Tulloch Castle into account. Definitely away to County on the 7th November.

Can anybody tell me which round of the Scottish Cup we will enter at this season? Is it round 4?

I can't be bothered going through this thread, but I'll point out 1 or 2 things. Reception staff will not be turning up as that was the first area to be hit with redundancy. I mentioned earlier that the under 19's who were released had been offered contracts and had them withdrawn - I know this for a fact!!! Caleyrule has a good source and the information they provide is usually very accurate, but on this occasion there have been a few comments a bit wide of the mark. This makes me wonder how good the communication is within the club right now. Absent Friend - I'm afraid confusion still reigns. Seems it'll be all sorted out on Monday though, so I'm looking forward to that.

Do we know how the shareholding is broken down? I take it Tullochs are the major shareholder? Seems a lot if you only need 25% sharehold to get 50% of the directorship. What would it take to get a shift of the power base, new major investment? Do the supporters trust not have a %? Supporters' Trust have a voting right of 10% as well as just over ?10,000 worth of shares.

  Thank you Yngwie for a bit of much needed humour.

Seems very bizarre, why do they think he isn't turning up for work then? You would think someone would be asking some questions. No-one is turning up for work at the moment apart from the reception staff and the club shop all other coaches are either on courses or on holiday and will all be returning on next monday for the start of the pre-season Okay so Danny is either on Holiday or on a course and is expected to report for duty next Monday? All the other coaches who are rumoured or confirmed to have been paid off are the same and they will all come back on Monday and everything will be fine. :024:

Seems very bizarre, why do they think he isn't turning up for work then? You would think someone would be asking some questions. What about Alec Cleland and Kel then? I got the impression that TB & MM might have planned leaning on Alec to assist with the first team duties, especially if TB is away on Scotland business and Kel has been there for a long time and by all accounts was a good coach. I know that you have a link to good information as a rule, but on this occasion I have to say it's a more than a little sketchy.

Yesterdays Courier Article "Meanwhile, Caley Thistle have confirmed under-19 coach Alec Cleland and his assistant Scott Kellacher have left the club as part of the financial cuts being imposed as a consequence of the club dropping out of the SPL. With no under-19 division at Scottish Football League level, Inverness will still retain a team at that age group, but with the number of games limited it was considered best to let Cleland and Kellacher leave. Bennett conceded that the loss was a blow ? particularly former Dundee United, Rangers and Everton defender Cleland ? who had only taken charge of the under-19s in January last year and had led the youngsters to the semi-finals of this season's SFA Youth Cup. "We are having to look at the youth set-up and the costs that go with it," Bennett said. "It's very disappointing but we are in the position that every department has to be looked at purely from a financial point of view." Bennett, however, knew nothing about reports that Caley Thistle's youth and community development manager Danny MacDonald had also left the club. "Danny MacDonald, like many of the staff at Caley Thistle, is part of an ongoing consultation process," he added. "As far as I know that's not changed, so it's not correct to say he has "

The club have announced whats happening, everything is staying the same apart from the 3 released U19 player and the 3 U19 players who have been offered contracts for the main team and also all the coaches are staying at the club so everything will be the same as last season Once again people are saying ICT are treating people s***e no they are not if people could read the information released by the club they would know whats happening 3 U19 players have been offered contracts, but I don't think they have been able to sign as yet. The 3 released players were offered contracts and then had the offers withdrawn. The under 19's coaches have been made redundant and all the other staff are on a redundancy notice period, so who can say if they will stay. Also seems Danny MacDonald has left the club. They might have made a statement to that effect, but I don't think you can say "everything will be the same".

I still can't even see the list :023: Use the BBC link, the SFL one I posted still was pointing to last season so I deleted it

I could not believe when I read recently that websites have to pay hundreds of pounds to legally display fixtures. The level of corporate greed in the football world is unbelievable. You are absolutely right, however a letter from ICT can almost wipe out the cost. Last I heard the letter had not been received meaning that Scotty/CaleyD would have to personally come up with the cash and that is obviously not an option. I hope it is all now in place and we'll have the fixtures online at 10am.
-
I can't believe that the board could have been this short sighted, surely this is just a silly rumour. I hope it's all okay as the Supporters Trust have a quiz night next week and I don't think it would be the same without the bar being open.
-
Can I just mention that the fixtures are subject to tight copyright laws and can only be posted on here under licence. Scotty/CaleyD will be able to confirm whether they have the licence in place. I believe they were waiting for a letter from ICT which is required, but this could well be in place now and the fixtures will be able to be published on here as soon as they are released.

I agree with most of this - tell us like it is and let us take it on the chin. make the hard decisions so that forthcoming ones are easier but do so with honesty and transparency. However, as I have said and said again, I support the club in not going public until the consultation process is completed. I am not a club employee so I am not party to what stage that is at, but a process like that is not something that can or should be dragged out so we cannot be talking months, in fact, if it has been ongoing since the end of the season, I would hope/expect a statement may be forthcoming rather quickly. First of all, can I just say that I have avoided posting very much about the current situation. This is mainly because people read my posts as the views of the Supporters' Trust. Let me assure you that these are my thoughts and my thoughts only. I agree with a lot of comments on this thread, but as for not going public!! George Fraser was interviewed on TV the week following relegation and announced there would be redundancies (no surprise there). The only problem was, as far as I'm aware, that the staff at that time were not given formal notice of pending redundancies and hearing it on the local news was quite unprofessional in my opinion. From what I have seen/heard, there would seem to be very little in the way of a process. I can't believe that a cost/benefit analysis would have identified the people who have gone already and there are some staff still on notice and some deemed 'safe'. If I'm honest I think that many of the staff who have gone and even some who are still currently employed would have a very strong case at a tribunal. Terry Butcher was so passionate when he spoke at the Ball, I did believe that we were going to have a good go at promotion next season. I have to say that I'm with IHE and now feel quite disillusioned. I hope that TB doesn't feel the same when he returns from his coaching course.
-
I believe we were very lucky to have Alec and I think if we want a pool of young players, he was the man to provide us with that. Sorry to see Scotty(kel) & Danny go too, both thoroughly decent guys with ICT at heart. I am becoming quite concernd about the youth set up for next season
-
You cannot do this licence unless you are actually working at the time as far as I know.
-
The last thing we need is a conflict. Terry Butcher has worked at the top level in this game and I don't think he would appreciate being undermined. I hope it can be resolved as I believe we need TB & MM to have a chance of bouncing back. 2nd choice would be Robbo & Barry, who I also think could take us back up.
-
I should have rephrased my previous comment. The under 19s have been offered contracts, but I don't think that they have been agreed yet. I believe that there are quite a few of the under 19s who are coming into the 2nd year of a 2 year contract so will be with us next season. There are obviously cut backs to made throughout the club and I'm sure Youth & Community won't come out unscathed, but I hope the youth teams are able to carry on for at least another season as they are.
-
No, its the Under 11's to the Under 17's are running not just the under 11's and 17's Exactly. Business as usual for the coming season and 3 of the under 19s given 1st team contracts. Not such doom and gloom after all. I am glad we finally have an announcement from the club which should go some way to install some confidence
-
I would suspect that may be a direct response to this rumour thread. The club do keep an eye on this site and are probably keen to dispell such rumours, which may have grown arms and legs and become much more than the reality.
-
Since we went down would our youths still be playing SPL clubs next season even if they never got relegated or do they go down with the club? Cant seem to find any info on how there leagues finished this season Youth teams stay where they are, but it's not an SPL youth league the set us is quite different as there are other 'lower' league teams who play in the same league
-
That comment is quite a bit off the mark. TB did release Vigurs and Woody and this could only be for financial reasons, but the youth set up is a completely different scenario. Thankfully many of our under 19s still have a year to run in their contracts as we may have to rely on the under 19s to boost the 1st team squad.

I think that your current seat is not released until the beginning of July
