  1. No coincidence that the odds are slashed from 25-1 to 9-4
  2. The talk on our bus yesterday was not if, but when we go down. Grounds we used to go to and the good craic we had in the first division. Not so much worried about relegation now, but resigned to the fact that's where we will be. I think I have said somewhere before that we could accept our league position if we were playing well and just not getting the breaks, because eventually things start to go your way. I don't think our current performances are good enough to save us. Lots of possible excuses yesterday, weather, officials etc. On this occasion they can't blame the fans, who travelled in large numbers and sung for 90 mins. (even if some of it wasn't what they wanted to hear)
  3. Thank you very much to Chambers for providing a fantastic pre match venue. Buffet was much appreciated and the craic was first class. Great to see a lot of people we haven't seen for ages. Apart from the football, I've had a great day.
  4. Congratulations guys. After speaking to Jill at the game on Saturday, I'm sure she won't be too upset that little Kyle turned up a couple of weeks early. Also good that he has managed to arrive when there are a couple of weeks before our next home game. (think the due date was 1st Feb - home to Celtic - good boy arriving sharpish :-) ) Really delighted for them all, take care x
  5. To be fair Brewster seems to have a good team around him when it comes to fitness. We are very lucky with injuries and seem to manage to get the best out of guys who have had previous injuries. I hope that with Brews training in conjunction with advice from the physio they can strenghen him up to lessen the risk of injury. Look at Dargo, he was excellent for us and as soon as he left he was out for months again injured. Fingers crossed we achieve the same with Byrne. x
  6. Cant, but oh I would love too, what do you know about talking back and fined??????? Seems fairly common knowledge Gillian.,although I heard it was on Monday, so it couldn't have been the reason for being out on Saturday, I was happy enough with the cup tied excuse. I hope we can hang on to Blackie until the Summer, but there's little point in paying a wage if we are not going to play him. I suspect his comments to the manager won't have helped his case to be in the starting line up on Saturday, probably the same for Imrie. However the fact that they were apparently disciplined this should be the end of it and they should be available for selection. As I said if we're not going to play Blackie we should just let him go for a nominal amount and save a wage. Okay back on topic. Not sure about goals, but I think Ikey might just be getting the cup games. I thought he did really well on Saturday but I suspect Esson could start on Saturday. Esson Rossco Pavels Grant Hastings McBain Duncan Cowie Vigurs Morais Rooney
  7. Rory is being made available for loan, doesn't say he's away. I think he will be gone, but not just quite yet it would seem.
  8. Having finally decided to go, I'm looking forward to it too. Haven't been to an away game for ages and I'm not only looking forward to the game but also to meeting up with the MOB. :-) Looks like the HMS sneck is full steam ahead for Saturday. See you all there.

    Time for change

I know - how about Dargo??

I believe the plan is to give them a couple of weeks to settle in and then possibly extend their contracts beyond the end of the season. I liked what I saw today, he certainly seemed to give the whole team a lift and he put it a top personal performance. Deserved man of the match.
  11. Definitely cash turnstiles in operation, so you'll be fine.
  12. I would certainly hope so. No reason why anyone would want to take a car or train journey. I'm sure there will be at least 1 full bus, maybe more if the offer extends to a 2nd.
  13. I was very pleased with the turn out and conduct of the meeting. Many expressed very valid points which were noted by the Trust board and will be discussed in more detail when we next meet to see if there is anything we can follow up on. Meantime a statement was prepared which was agreed by all in attendance and at the end of the day we are all ICT fans and ultimately want the team to do better. This statement will go to the football club board at our very earliest convenience and we will await their response. The press were in attendance so there will be plenty of views reported on TV, Radio and in the papers. Thanks to all who attended
  14. Paypal is in the process of being set up, I'll let you know as soon as it's available. A note of the meeting will be available following the meeting.
  15. Scotty - what a fantastic post, I couldn't have put it any better. Absolutely spot on.
  16. My first thought on that is that lots of supporters just want to go to a game on a Saturday afternoon, and cheer on their favourites and boo anyone else... Many are reluctant to get involved in all the politics that goes on behind the scenes.. I'm dissapointed that there is not a more united front, or a more concerted campaign, determined that urgent action is required NOW if ICT is to avoid dropping into Div1. I'm hopeful that the Supporters Trust meeting on Wednesday will arrive at some kind of a conclusion - and that some kind of a battle plan will be drawn up. I'm a wee bit worried all the same that tonight they are having a meeting tonight to discuss Wednesday's meeting... But still, it's all we've got and I hope every discontented supporter in Inverness will make their presence felt at the Wednesday meeting. Johnboy - a battle plan is not what we are aiming to achieve, but some ideas of the way forward. I have spoken to a lot of people and like Scotty I have heard some say they would like Brewster given more time and I respect those opinions. It is just as important that those who would like to support the manager attend the meeting, so that we can present a fair representation of the fan base. So I would hope that as many Trust members and Shareholders come along and share their views. Just to confirm the board of the Supporters Trust meet on the first Monday of every month, so this is not a special meeting, but it will obviously be a significant agenda item.
  17. Cheers Scotty, that sounds like a good idea. Once we have our new site up and running we could look at somehow linking the two and a dedicated board on the forum might me a good way to do. I'll mention it at our meeting tonight. (Well if I get a chance that is, it's looking like a pretty busy night ahead) There is one thing I would like to clear up - The purpose of the meeting on Wednesday night is not to get Brewster the sack, it is to speak to our members and fellow shareholders about how they would like us to proceed. We have met as a board and have our own ideas, but we felt it important that we seek a wider opinion before going back to the board of the football club with some questions and possibly suggestions for improvement. We have our scheduled board meeting tonight, so I'm sure this will be our main agenda item. We are very conscious that as a board we have to reflect the views of our members and this seems the best way to do it. I look forward to seeing some of you on Wednesday night.
  18. Had a lovely day out today at Love Street. St Mirren FC put on a good day out to remember for their fans. The football wasn't the best I've seen, Motherwell were very physical and we saw a rookie ref who lost the plot very early in the game. He was at least consistent, consistently bad that is. Wyness played 90 minutes but really came into his own when Dargo joined him up front, I wish we had them both for tomorrow. ICT could have taken some lessons on creating an atmosphere at games. Maybe something for the Supporters Trust to try to improve!!
  19. Not quite yet, but I have asked if this can be set up. If it not going to be available in the short term, I'm happy to process some payments via my own paypal account. I'll get back to you tomorrow with a definite answer. Thanks LG - I have suggested the same thing to the centenary club - its a bit of a no brainer IMHO - safe, secure and versatile for those of us outside the UK with little overhead in terms of organisation and a cost that can be covered by adding the small charge to the buyer fee. if you can organise something on your own paypal, we have built in a hack to the system that allows us to automatically add a paypal button to the thread !!!! Supporters Trust paypal is now set up, just waiting for the confirmation of the bank details before we can use it. The holidays have obviously held it up but it should be available in a day or two. Meantime if anyone want to use my own one, just PM me and I'll give you the details. Membership cards will be available on Wednesday night or posted out within a couple of days. We did have a bit of a delay in sending out cards, but that was in the ordering of the cards which only arrived at the end of last week and were sent out immediately. Membership form also available to download from the first post on this thread. Lizi, I don't want to go into the details of your post on this thread, but I can assure you this is no recruitment drive. On this occasion we felt that a meeting of the Trust membership along with our fellow shareholders would be the best way to go. We regularly represent the fans (members or not) at our frequent meetings with the Football Club, this situation is a little different and needs to be handled appropriately. I will take your comments to our usual board meeting tomorrow and respond directly to keep this thread on topic.
  20. Some, but not all, of the board of the Football Club are also shareholders and as shareholders they will be very welcome to attend the meeting next week if they so choose. It would be good to hear their opinions for the way forward. At the end of the day we all want what is best for ICT.
  21. Yes feb8th. Memberships will be accepted on the night. Look forward to seeing you there.
  22. Hey Ron Good to hear from you. Hope you are well. Will you be joining us for a game in 2009? Have a great night tonight and a fantastic New Year. Laura x
  23. Cheers Heilandee Thanks for your good wishes and the same to you and yours. Hope 2009 is a good one for you. Not so sure it will be for us, but if we make a change sooner rather than later, it might just be in time to save us. Relegation just isn't an option on the financial side of things it would be a disaster.
  24. Not quite yet, but I have asked if this can be set up. If it not going to be available in the short term, I'm happy to process some payments via my own paypal account. I'll get back to you tomorrow with a definite answer.
  25. You would be very welcome.
