  1. Good news (well for anyone except Caff that is) Rossco will play a part in the game. He has been doing some light training this week, and although he is not yet match fit he has been working hard and will play some part in the game. Also in the Highland News - John Rankin will play on Friday night, but part of the deal was an agreement that he won't feature in Saturdays friendly against his old club. One last laugh - Ross County have a new mascot and after running a competition for names they have come up with a name for their Stag!! - Ingenious ROSSCO. :015: :015: :015: :015:
  2. Can't wait - I'll be at both. Can't stand this closed season - miss my footie fix. The testimonial sounds ace. I'm with you mee - who could miss the chance of seeing Hissy playing in an ICT strip for one last time. I really miss him as a player, but more as a character. Should be a great game.
  3. I can confirm that Colin is very accomodating and usually allows kids in pre-match. Not for the bigger games though where he now needs to have door staff. No children or away fans allowed for these matches. After the game is a definite NO NO as Scotty says. They don't have a licence for children as they don't do food on Saturdays. On the 'No Kids' days we just go across to the Portland which is usually quite quiet both pre and post match. No match for the Innes banter though. Looking forward to seeing you all on the 29th.
  4. I think it'll be his loss. He needs to have a word with his agent. It was a done deal and someone is getting greedy. Whether it's Rankin or his agent I'm not sure. Sounds like his agent to me. If on the other hand it's Rankin himself - the last thing we need at ICT is another EGO. If that's the way they want to play it we should say thanks but no thanks and sign Hoolahan. Let him spend another season in the first division, then see how wonderful he thinks his agents advice is.
  5. Rossco has had an injection and is back doing some light training. He hopes to be fit for his testimonial, but it not he is expecting to be ready for the start of the season.
  6. CB has an article in the Highland News. Things seem to be going well. Very hot and they haven't had much sleep. Italy partied into the wee small hours after their win the other night.

Smithton Hotel run a bus to all home games.
  8. Should be a great night. I have heard that this guy is really good, haven't seen him myself though. Unfortunately I have a prior engagement that night. Tickets are a reasonable price too, so hopefully there will be a good turn out.
  9. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: That should be interesting then. I take it you must find out when you buy your tickets. I think I can safely say it will be somewhere in Inverness.
  10. Gutted for Rossco. Shame he is missing out on the trip to Italy. Just because it kept Keogh out for a year doesn't mean that's the case for Ross. I hope not anyway, especially with his testimonial match only a couple of weeks away. I am glad we turned down the offer for Proctor though, and hope that Caff goes nowhere. Ross has been very consistent, but we do have able cover as long as we hang on to these two guys.
  11. I've got mine. Shouldn't be a problem to sell them. As you say a welcome addition to the funds.
  12. Supporters Club members should now all have the information. There was a mailing recently with relevant details along with the info about the AGM. Tickets on sale now.
  13. Just caught a snippet on the news that David Sutherland will step down as chairman at the AGM and that Tullochs will transfer their shares to Inverness Sports Trust. I think the new chairman will be Alan Savidge from Orion Engineering and Mike Crowe from Lifescan will also join the board. Caught be a bit unaware, so I might have missed something or picked it up wrong, but that's how I heard it. Anyone shed any light on it?
  14. That's my concern too. The thing in he would be happy to stay in Inverness, he just needs to get a few games. Surely that's not too much to expect. When I said improved terms in a previous post, I didn't only mean financial, but also getting a game now and then.
  15. I think that ET sees Brew through rose tinted spectacles. And while this is the case Brewster seems to be calling the shots. But I think the grocer will only take that for so long and if results and performances don't improve ET won't care who he is. He has a duty to the fans and I think Brew will be off to top up his tan in Greece. :cya:
  16. That is a very possible scenario MEE. I think Brew will now have similar feelings to Pele and Robbo. Should have stayed where they were. When will they learn that the grass isn't greener elsewhere. I think he could be found out this time. It's a shame for Malky and Peter who moved their families to go with him. I would like it to work out for them. I might go along and see them as I'll be down that way in a week or so. I know that Brew was calling the shots with ET where these players are concerned. He really wants rid of them. Training with the under 19's is as big a gesture as he could make to these guys, but if they don't go and he is stuck with them, he won't have the funds to bring in anyone else. Does he then go 'cap in hand' and ask them to play for the 1st team again. Don't think so - we all know how stubborn he can be. What a mess!?!?!?!
  17. Papers today report that Brewster has sent his unwanted players to train with the under 19s. Think he is making it clear that there is no chance of a place for them in the 1st team. :015: :015: They should be grateful as he is only thinking of their fitness. They are professionals and will have to stay fit so that the can get a move. We know Brew isn't one to be messed with. ET is out of the country so there will be nothing sorted out before next week at the earliest. These guys are on big money and still under contract, so why would they leave. ET will have to up the offers to get rid of them I would think.
  18. I think Michael Fraser has had enough subs bench experience to last him a lifetime. The guy wants to play first team football and who wouldn't in his position. Charlie acknowledges that he has closed the gap on Mark Brown over the last 18 months. Hopefully that means he will get a few more games, but then will Broonie take the huff. It's a difficult one - who would be a football manager????!!! I think it's only another year until Michael is 24 so we could lose him without a fee if we are not careful. He's a local guy and enjoys being at ICT, but he has to have some games or what is the point in it all. I could see him being like Grant Munro and being with us for years to come, but it would have to be on improved terms.

Never had any problems at all. My kids have gone to lots of hot shots sessions over the years. Every year they get better. They are a good team and they have good coaches. The kids always enjoy it.

Haven't heard so far. I take it we will have the option of buying our own seats prior to a public sale?!?!

There have been issues with the days and times they want the games played. The police are not happy about Friday night games as they are already busy dealing with the usual Friday night crowds and their resources would be stretched. Think that is the delay. DS said he expected the extra games to predominately feature Hearts and Hibs.

Just paid 2 x £10 for the kids shares. I had some money in my paypal account so I assume there will be no charges incurred by you for this transaction. Let me know if there is as you shouldn't be out of pocket. It's good of you to oranise it every year. Thank you Looking forward to seeing everyone in the Innes on the 29th July. PB's homecoming.

Jock Better late than never. Question no. 2 Her name was Anne Whammond, now Mintie as she married again. Her father worked for the courier and her mother was in the land army at Wick. Probably too much information now, but that's how I got it. Cheers Laura
  25. Definitely an away sell out I would think. I would hope for our first game of the season we would have a healthy home support, but if not I suspect that any pay at the gate tickets might be purchased by 'neutral' (St Mirren) fans. Not advocating it just stating my opinion. They have a healthy travelling support at the best of times and I would think everyone would want to see their 1st SPL game in a while.
