  1. A bit harsh DB. I thought we started the game really well. Much more positive. Stand side linesman was awful and we got a yellow card every time we looked the wrong way. That in itself spoils the game IMO. After we went 1 down we came back into the game and Charlie changed the shape by taking of Hastings and putting Rory on up front. We really went for it in the last 15 minutes but the ball just wouldn't go into the net. One of these nights Scotty. If you take a negative perspective throughout the game you will go home feeling that the game was sh**e. There were positives. Had to laugh at the young boys behind us who were calling for Christie's resignation because they can do better on their football manager game. :015: :015: :015: :015:
  2. Nothing to do with me on this occasion. My reply to KoB was only my thoughts on the matter and have absolotely no merit. It was KoB who started this thread. I have heard a bit about it, but not from within the club. I am very rarely at the stadium now. I certainly used to spend a lot of time there helping out haven't done much of that in the last year. If I do pick up any snippets I tend not to post them anyway. There are people on here who can't wait to share conversations they have had with people regarding the club, but I don't like to go down that route unless it's useful information regarding tickets or something like that. Very flattering that you think the board would discuss such matters with me. :015: :015:

If I could have identified him I would certainly have said something to that effect. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but this guy spoilt the game for a number of us. Charlie was absolutely raging. He was under enough pressure as the game wasn't going well, but with this idiot constantly rabbiting on in his lug it's no wonder he flipped.
  4. Adult £15 Concession £5. Tickets available at the gate, but can be bought today if required in advance. Thought I had got it wrong so I take it that it's the price you have a problem with RIG??
  5. £15 and £5

Well at least we have a lot to be thankful for. You are not picking the team for Tuesday night. :015: :015: :015:

Agree Caley100. North stand sounded not bad at all and even a little noise from the Main Stand. (Not all negative I might add). I thought as far as home support goes we did okay yesterday. Not great, but better than usual.

Good laugh - where were all the support?? Team eventually consisted of Laura and Rachel Murray, Graeme Bennet, Angela Wilson (who was only there to take photos, or so she thought) :015:, Roy McBain and Soane. Other players present Mark Brown, Michael Fraser and Richard Hastings all managed to make a rather sharp exit, when they realised what was actually happening :015: :015: They'll be jealous now as ICT picked up their first silverware of the season with a credible 2nd place. Only missing out on 1st by 1 point. Well done guys - good entertainment - photos to follow. :001: :001:

Yes he did react probably inappropriately, but he had tolerated quite a bit before he lost it. Who could listen that for the whole game and ignore it. I couldn't see who was shouting or I would have said something. They were further back from me and over towards section B.
  10. Okay here goes. I have deliberately waited until today to post this. Bits have been covered on other threads, but I think it warrants it's own space. Boooing Proctor has been covered elsewhere. I was asked on my way into the ground if I would be booing him or if I thought he should be boo-ed. I said no to both. I spoke to Proc just before he left and he just wants to play football. He's slotted right into the first team, doubled his wages and we got a fee for him. That's what it's all about. He just never looked like getting a run in our first team. I think he was able enough, just couldn't oust Rossco. CHARLIE ASKED FOR THE CROWD TO GET BEHIND THE TEAM I think the crowd made a bit more noise than they usually do at home and even a bit of noise from the Main Stand (whatever next) :015: :015: :015: I sit in the lower section C in the main stand and we were subjected to the most negative person. He didn't support or encourage the team as far as I could hear, but spent the whole game shouting at Charlie who is clearly within shouting distance. Charlie was getting really angry (and who could blame him) Can we sit at your work and shout at you all day. Charlie and Parkie weren't happy with the performance on the park(as was obvious) but this guy was shouting for changes from about 20 minutes into the game. The people round about me all agreed that we are glad this person doesn't seem to sit there every week as we were sick of listening to him. IMO the stewards should have had a word. We can all be guilty of shouting at a player who makes a stray pass or misses a great chance at goal, but this guy was constant throughout the game and really got on my nerves. Not sure if he's someone who posts on here or not, but if it was you then please hold your hands up and be counted. Or if you know who it was then name and shame please. There was one other person who also spent a bit of time shouting at Charlie and he was in hospitality seats. Many say that they pay their money so are entitled to an opinion, but this guy was on a freebe. The performance wasn't great and Brewster took a bit of stick - no surprise there then. Get a grip guys and get behind the team, try to save your voices for supporting the team rather than personal abuse. As you can tell I was raging and that is why I didn't post this yesterday. These people spoilt the game for me and those around me, and certainly didn't help Charlie's concentration. :008: :008: :008: :008: :008: :008:
  11. Fair point Scotty. I didn't mean that we should just employ people for the sake of it, but we could be doing with a few in some areas. Just making a comparison. Definitely don't want to go down the Eddie Thomson route of club management.
  12. I don't know about any projected plans, but I have heard good things about the new chairman. Seems to be sussing things out. I'm hopeful that we might see an improvement across the board with his leadership. This is in no way a slight on David Sutherland who was an excellent chairman, but Alan Savage would appear to be more 'hands on' from what I have heard. It's time we brought the whole club up to SPL standard. Just as an example I spoke to Malky Thomson just after they went to Utd and they have over 40 full time staff!! If we are going to compete with these teams 'off the park' we need a bit of a restructure and some more staff. Once again I feel positive vibes and believe this could be a turning point in the future of ICT.

Graeme Bennett, Tommy Cummings, John Docherty, Laura Murray, Rachel Murray according to the link above.
  14. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: Well spotted DJS.

  16. MMmmmm interesting. I had heard that Morven has extended her leave a bit, but also heard a suggestion that this had moved on and that she was now not returning. As KoB says, Morven worked well in difficult circumstances. It may be that having been blessed with an absolutely gorgeous little boy she doesn't feel ready to give the commitment required to be operations manager. This takes much more time that just a Monday to Friday job. Whatever she decides I would like to wish her well. Glad to hear that the Chief Exec is on top of things and has plans in place for the future. *correction* Replace Chief Exec with Chairman. TBH that makes much more sense anyway. :001:

If you have some free time on Sunday this might be good for a laugh and all in aid of the Highland Hospice which is a great cause. It's a knockout Link Fixed - Caley D
  18. I just hope he's fit enough to put a few goals away on Saturday to thank Brewster for encouraging his fitness. And I know for a fact that there is nothing Barry would enjoy more. He will be up for this game big time. That's just reminded me, the last time we bet Utd, did Brew not try to take the credit for the work he had put into our team. :015: :015: Hope he appreciates that again on Saturday. :001: :001: :001:

Good point Alex. Can't believe that some people are even supporting County over them. :015: :015: That is a worry. Just because they have a wealthy owner. (who isn't very well at the moment I might add)

He was on the radio this morning, saying that his match fitness was getting there having now played 3 games in 2 weeks. He is hoping for a chance in the first team soon. (Off the bench on Saturday possibly). Think that would be a good idea depending on how the game is going as he will be a relatively unknown quantity to the Utd team. Seems he had quite a good game for the reserves last night.

    Match report here
  22. Reserves are in action tonight against Hearts. Should be a good game and very reasonable admission prices. 7pm kick off. Details here Gutted I can't make it but I have to work. Also Gretna are playing County in the Challenge cup in Dingwall, thought that might be a good game too.
  23. They still had some in the shop last time I was down. Think they are only £9.99. :004:

John Robertson certainly helped the team move on a bit and Craig Brewster also put his stamp on the team, but the person who got us where we are today is 'without a doubt' the one and only Steve Paterson. We are still playing today with what was basically his team. Each manager has made a few changes, but we still have the core of Pele's team. Our success has been down to the fact that we have a 'team' rather than a group of individuals. They play for each other and for the club. Steve Paterson built the team and let's not forget that. I have full confidence in Charlie as manager, especially with Donald Park by his side. Charlie might not be experienced as a manager, but you certainly couldn't say the same of Parkie. I might have been a bit worried if Charlie took the post without an experienced assistant, and I think Charlie would be the first to agree with that. Together they can do the job. The players respect both CC and DP which is also a big bonus. This hasn't always been the case in the past and although the players are professional and carry on doing their best, you are bound to get more out of a 'happy' team.
