  1. He hasn't booked but we do have a spare seat if he want's to go. Well we know he has a kilt (and what he wears underneath it) :023:
  2. Just pretend to be interested in what the speakers are saying and go for the latter, just look bonny and get drunk. We have a home game that day so we won't have too much time to work on making ourselves bonny, but I'll just have to try my best. Should be a good night.
  3. I have your cheque also, thank you, but now I seem to owe you money. You seem to be making a habit of visiting when I'm not in. :006:
  4. No need to win the lottery, just check your PM's. :004: More information to follow. Other than the usual travel inns etc, there is a King's Highway beside Wetherspoons right in the centre, or try the Thistle Hotel or the Chieftan, they sometimes have good deals.
  5. Just a reminder that this is a Black Tie Event (Kilts obviously very acceptable) :021:

    Reserve game

    Could be :015:
  8. Yes thanks he did pass it on to me. Although handing money over in a pub could be somewhat risky. I'll let you know a little later who the confirmed guests will be, but I'm sure you will find some intellectual and stimulating conversations. :004:
  9. Buffy I'll send you a PM in a day or two. We are having a wee do on the 16th (details to follow). I was going to get in touch with you anyway to see if any of you were coming up on the Friday. Hope to see you then.
  10. Family section child season tickets are very cheap at ICT, especially if they are Centenary Club members. Much less than the standard concession rate. This is great and encourages families to buy season tickets, but that's why it's such a shock to the system when a game like this comes along.
  11. Glad to hear it was such a success. The supporters trust and ICT youth development stand to make a substantial amount from sharing the proceeds. Well done to all involved. :021:
  12. Alex I think that the tables for this event are now sold out, we have 3 tables of 10 booked. I think that we might have space for 2 or 3 people at these tables, so if anyone is interested let me know as soon as possible. Looks like a good night and well deserved I think.

    Barry's 300th

Read the Local papers. 300th appearance and it's his birthday this week too.
  14. Inverness Courier 9/2/07 front page headlines no less You'll find a clue here Let's hope the fixture list is kind to you. :021:
  15. Not really my Uncle Mac that helped, it was my Mum (Irene Lynn) and my Dad (Eddie MacInnes) who got them all. He was away home wondering what that guy's name was, so he'll sleep better tonight. Cheers. Allan had a brother Martin I believe and was it Jimmy Wilson or was it Jack Wilson. Doubts now over Mr Bell, could it be Millar (Dusty)?
  16. Okay a bit more feedback would be good. :015:
  17. Okay here goes - had a word with the folks Mr Nelson, Dodo Bell, ? MacPherson, Alfie MacDonald, Jimmy Wilson, Jimmy McGillivray, Dills Henry, Mr Bell? Davie Ross, Billy Nelson, Jock Watt, Donnie McGillivray, Billy Urquhart, Donnie Nelson Marks out of 10? ?
  18. Its not a hike - its the standard price for an 'A' rated game : TICKET PRICES Maybe I should have used 'price differential'. As I said, £60 for a kids season ticket in the family section is very reasonable, it's a good bit less than I thought it would be, under £3 per game by my calculations. To charge the same kid nearly 6 times that price to come to a cup game seems disproportionate and very hard to justify. Family section children's season tickets are fantastic value, pay at the gate price is usually £15 per game and £17 for the old firm games which is the case here. I think you are slightly spoilt in the fact that you pay on average £3 per game for your child/ren. If I got every other game for £3 I would be happy to pay the price for a big cup game. In the main stand our season tickets don't return nearly as much of a saving per league game. And our prices are £5 per head more for the cup game. As I have said somewhere already we will have 2 adults @ £27 and 2 children @ £22 = £98 for a family of 4, now that is expensive, but I don't expect a reduction for such a big game. The only thing I think that they might have done is sell some family section tickets at the usual pre-sold prices, but I can understand why they aren't doing this. Can you imagine the people who paid the price for the Dundee Utd game finding out it was going to be cheaper for the Celtic game. You really can't please all of the people all of the time. As I have said many times, ticketing prices and in particular children's and family prices are discussed regularly, but this is a QUARTER FINAL OF THE SCOTTISH CUP AGAINST CELTIC. So on this occasion get behind the team, but as has been suggested elsewhere if you would prefer a review of the ticketing prices, e-mail the club with your comments. But remember a full review might not always work in your favour. If they reduce ticket prices in some cases they will have to recover the money elsewhere.
  19. Setanta usually go for a 2pm kick off, but this will be SKY TV and they have a Carling Cup game on a bit later so we have to have an earlier kick off to fit in. It's worth about £80,000 to the club so it's worth the slight inconvenience.
  20. Good idea RIG to have a pole.. There seems to be an option missing though. I will go, because I wouldn't miss such a big game and I love the cup games, but I am disappointed that they haven't even allowed the family section prices as is the case for league games. So the answer to your question is that yes the pricing makes me think about it, but for this game, I'll be there regardless. If it wasn't such a big tie, I might have thought twice about it. As I said on another thread staying away will only make another seat available for 'tic fans, so this isn't really a game to have a stay away protest. Also the team need all our support for this game.

    hearts game.

I would say that we would need to be settled in Diggars by 12. The Rugby is on a bit later, so we should be okay. Diggars is always full to the gunnels though. What upset the guy the last time seemed to be that we took over the 'snug' which is the only place you can take children, so some Hearts fans with kids couldn't get in, when they usually go for every game. If I remember rightly his kids were about 27 or something. :015: :015: :015: :015:
  22. This is one game they are most definitely not going to reduce their prices for and as you say Celtic would have to agree to a reduction and why would they as it will sell out anyway. Stay away ICT fans will only make more seats available to away fans. I do agree that it's far too expensive particularly for a family. We have season tickets in the main stand, but this game will cost us £98. But if I don't buy my seat I'm sure someone else will. As season ticket holders I think we sometimes forget how much it actually costs to go to a game.

    Support

Okay I'll ignore it. I do still speak to a few who even go to support Ross County rather that a merged ICT. But I do agree Charles that these are now in the minority. Some of them don't go to football at all and will openly admit to missing it, but they can't swallow their pride enough to go after all these years. As ICT have grown they have found it harder to stay away and I know a few who are 'using' their children or grandchildren as an excuse to come back, but that's fine. Don't think it's making that big a difference. The supporter's Trust meets with the club on a monthly basis and I know that this is an issue which is regularly discussed and our new Chairman is keen to work on this and has a few ideas. The trust representatives at these meetings never miss an opportunity to mention the pricing and especially the cost for children. Oddly enough I find myself agreeing with Clacher (well a bit anyway). The product on the field and the whole experience is what will bring people back week after week. As Heilandee says, he enjoys taking his son to a game, but you do have to consider your options when the cost is so high. As a family, attending away (and or cup) games is an expensive day out, so I can understand why some fans stay away.
  24. I would expect an announcement sometime today. I was down yesterday buying my Hearts tickets and the phone was non stop looking for tickets for the 'Celtic' game, once they were reminded it's actually and 'ICT' game against Celtic :001:, they were advised to 'watch this space'. Websites and press for further information. Hopefully they will have an agreement in place today sometime. My money's on an early Sunday kick off.
  25. :fishing: :toothy08: He's a young lad and I think he's doing okay and I have confidence in him to keep the no.1 jersey. He's waited long enough for it, so he won't be keen to lose it. I read in one of the papers that he seemed comfortable with the ball at his feet, which was a weakness of MB. I can tell you that Calder is one of MF's idols, so don't expect the dribbling to disappear, he's confident enough to takes these guys on so good luck to him. :021: :021: :021: Thumbs up from me.
