  1. Yep a record breaker, as comfirmed on Radio Scotland. NO SPL CLUB has one 5 on the trot with clean sheets. Absolutely stunning! Also, for fun pokers, Livi's season is THE WORST in SPL history. Poisoned chalice again, Robbo!
  2. He had a very safe game, several good saves and one corker from a swerving shot in the second half. We can forgive the bad kickout. I hear Brewster is interested.
  3. This is like the old "spot the ball" competition in the sports final! It was always far away from where you thought it was.
  4. Me and Juanjo had a good old bellylaugh when we read this guote from Neil Lennon in the Skacel spat story... "I am not in the business of making things up or trying to get people into trouble." Mind you, I think Skacel is just as dodgy! PS Yes, this may be in the wrong forum, mods.
  5. That is so much clarse! Thanks Canada Bob.
  6. I got beeped for using a popular word to describe someone from East London. That's right...a *beep*!
  7. With mme on just about all of those. That tube did skelp Rossco - just not very hard. It should have been a red. A passback is a passback - I've never heard anything about "intent" before. The keeper knew what he was doing when he picked it up, that's why Dargo left it, expecting to play football with him. Samuel is the second biggest cheat seen this season, though he did get clipped a few times. Light on his feet though he seemed to walk like an arthritic. Very fond of backing in too, as Dods showed.
  8. Brown was quiet. Dods was mediocre. Black was resting and Dargo was cr*p. So that takes care of the shopping list then.
  9. Laugh? I nearly forgave the team for playing such complete and utter nonsense.
  10. Lotsa good stuff there! I remember the "pruned hands" thing. It was a con job because your hands went pruny after a quarter of an hour! That rules sign - saw the same one in Alness swimming pool just the other week! Except there seemed to be more now! We used to do specialist dives - "best man dead" - using a grenade/pistol/rifle/stengun, and best of the lot... "The Mary Poppins of the top board" - you jumped and span at the same tie, like Mary Poppins holding an umbrella, Rumour had it there was a huge tank of water underneat the whole pool which the staff used to check using subaqua gear. George Follen is still teaching kids to swim. Or is it Roddy Geddes, with his green canvas belt. There was a tuck shop up the top of the Eastmost side, which eventually got replaced by a machine. LMS swimming club on a Thursday night. And of course the awards board with the names of all teh prize winners, moved when the baths was destroyed, is now in the Inverness Sports Centre. Gosh I never thought I remembered so much about it.
  11. Wife and I went to see him one afternoon in some broom cupboard off the Royal Mile, after walking about waiting for the baby, as she was then, to drop off. We figureed we could fit in a 45 min comedy slot before she woke up. We just managed to get seats right at the front, when GS saw the push chair. "A baby! An effing baby in my effing show! If it wakes up the show's over!" 50 people glaring at us. She slept well for 40 mins and woke gently, till she saw his face and leaped out of her skin. "Right that's it! Yez can all fekk aff!" He ushered us out the door. We tell her that story everytime he's on the box. We did see him taking the card out of the watermelon though.
  12. Well done Icytea! Thanks. You got it. That's a pint you owe me. Nutty bar, so obvious, when you think about it. Just like Lime Kitkats.
  13. This very day was I talking about the Aztec bar. It was same dimensions as a Mars Bar - or so Marianne Faithful told me - but was more nougaty and chewy. Deelicious. Question. Not so old but missed, what was the name of the bar that had peanuts round the outside. I think it had a brown seethrough wrapper. A pint rests on this, as the say in the Sunday Post.
  14. When PUNK came along, I rejected a lot of grups that I was formerly keen on. Only recently, have I been able to admit that PUNK was just a passing phase, abeit one that lasted 30 years. Having joined an illegal filesharing network, I decided to pursue some of these things, "long players" sold in times of poverty to buy beer and whatever. So I have made a bit of an effort to plug the gaps in my collection. The good the bad and the indifferent... Alex Harvey Band, Stackridge, Quantum Jump, Lindisfarne, Bonzo Dog Band, Caravan, Knks, Early Roxy Music, Rory Gallagher, Grace Slick ("Manhole"), Greenslade, Jack Bruce, Rick Wakeman, Graham Parker and the Rumour, Groundhogs, Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel, Mott the Hoople, Steely Dan, Tangerine Dream, The Oo', The Faces and the Grandaddies of the Lot, Yes. I have no excuse but the callowness of youth.
  15. CC will field the side that ensures we retain 7th place. Nothing else matters. But yes, I Hope Livi go dangling dahn, I think they have too much to do.
  16. Since catheterisation, my incontinence problems have vanished, like snow of a dyke! Heartily recomended!
  17. Mantis, dont bother I made half of them up - except Imogen Heap. Jeep Solid is, I am afraid, all too real. Will scour and dredge the layers of my hard drve for your VR, but I wouldn't hold much hope, Mantis.
  18. Mystery jets, Imogen Heap, Rakes, We are scientists, Jimmy Eat World (post 2nd album), Clor (pre 3rd album), Blue/Pink/Green, imaloserkillme, Jeep Solid, The Beatles... oh and Tom Vek, before he married Sarah Jessica Parker (urgh)
  19. Wrapped - Sherbet Lemons Unwrapped - Bassets Jelly Babies
  20. When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was going to be about lying back in the long grass, sipping a can and staring at the cloud formations. Imagine my surprise ect ect
