  1. I thought the home support today was on a par with our opening home game but was very surprised at the poor away support, They had a drummer and a few noisy youngsters but for a team of their stature in Scotland I would have expected a much bigger support. Stuart McColl talks a good game but his team are not apatch on what they were last season. But what a great display from our boys - they fully deserve all the plaudits going and long may it continue.
  2. I think Bronson still has this flag and has unfurled it at many games. The last time was at the semi final last season when he was not allowed to take it into the Hibs ground, We had one right set to with the stewards ans the police were eventually called in. In the end we lost the argument in that the flag was not marked as being "Fire Retardant" or whatever and was considered a health and safety risk, So it has not been displayed since.
  3. Just phoned the club and they said they won't know for another 15 - 20 minutes. How long does an inspection take?!
  4. Myself and Bronson fan will be there. May I suggest mmeeting in the Bon Accord golf club just along from Pittodrie? They made us very welcome during our stay there. Looking forward to it.
  5. What a pity we didn't know about this earlier, Don, but we have now made other arrangements. to get down. Thanks anyway.
  6. Who's a silly boy, then? I had all my arrangements made to go to Ayr today and decided, at the last minute, that it would be a non-event because of the euphoria after Weds result for Dundee. Silly fool. What a game to miss. And what a party to miss. Still thers's always next Sat to look forward to. Well done to the team for todays outstanding result.
  7. For what its worth, I would just like to add my own congratulations. As a regular supporter at TCS (and sometimes away) I have suffered all kinds of emotions while watching the team this season. The last few games have been nerve tingling but today was the icing on the cake and I was proud to be a supporter of Inverness Caledonian Thistle when the final whistle sounded today. Well done to all. here's to next Saturday's party.
  8. Well done county, didn't they do themselves proud!
  9. I did not buy my ticket in advance because of the weather conditions but decided to go today. As advertised, I was aware that , with an adult, under 16s were getting in for free. arriving at the turnstile in plenty of time, I was told that I could not take my youngster in at the gate without first getting a ticket (free) at the ticket office *** shop. On arriving there there was a large queue waiting for the same as me but only two (one obviously inexperienced) staff issuing tickets. When I got to the head of the queue, I was asked for my personal particulars which were slowly put on a computer while I waited for my ticket. I then had to go to a designated turnstile and hand over my two tickets (one of which was the freebee). While in the queue, I was told by other fans that their cash was not being accepted at the turnstiles and they had to queue at the shop. WWhy was all this necessary and why were we not advised in advance that cash gates would not be in operation? Even Motherwell fans were queuing for tickets at the shop which must have shown our club up in a very poor light. Thank goodness only a small crowd turned out or we would have missed half of a very good game. Very poor organisation and I would hope there is no repeat at our next home cup game (ever hopeful).
  10. Does anyone where they are? Has Peter Paul got his own website?
  11. Well done to the lads but leaving it late - 83 mins - had us biting the fingernails. Better crowd than I expected for midweek game in Fife - 2014. And two points closer to Co@@@y.
  12. I was at he game yessterday , heard the chant but was completely unaware who it was aimed at and I did not join in. However, there is something strange about this whole episode - if the initial altercation is to be believed why on earth was the chant not raised at the recent home cup tie when Allison was our goalkeeper and played well or in any of the games before that. Are the "singers" trying to hide their identity and only chanting this at away games hoping they will not be recognised. Or were they trying to antognise the local stewards and police who, I thought, treated our support very well. All I am asking is why did it take till now for this to raise its ugly head. We could do well without it as such stupidity could well drive away some of our travelling support.
  13. How or when was the fans player of the year decided? In previous years the had a ballot at the last home game of the season but i wasn't aware of anything like that this season. Tokely would have been my first choice for player of the year.
  14. Can anyone help me work out how to listen to the game online? Have clicked the link which tries to download the motherwell file from bbc sport then nothing???
  15. I can vouch for the hospitality in this howf and intend to be there so set up the drinks!!! Its not too far to stagger to the away gate and handy for the celebration dram after the game - hopefully.
  16. Keen to see this game so myself and 2 or 3 mates are planning to go down, Transport is the problem. We fancy a good social day out so the train from Inverness at 6.45 a.m. does not seem like an option. Not keen on the official supporters bus as the time for comfort stops are limited. does anyone know of any private bus going down - like the Innes Bus; Big D's mini bus;; Social Club bus or any other?
  17. Good to hear from you DerbyDave. As a Culcabock boy born and bred it was interesting to read your post. one of our best mate in those days, and his whole family, emigrated from Culcabock to Oz but none of the family was called Dave. How long since you lived in Culcabock. We lieved in the Back street near the school and overlooking the golf course.
  18. Same team as last week apart from the above mentioned changes
  19. Well I for one would like to stand up and say well done to Craig Brewster. In one of the papers, or possibly teletext, he points out how influencial Conway or was it Daly was against us yesterday. He then goes on to make it clear that he was the one who was responsible for signing the player for united. - not exactly what our long suffering fans are wanting to hear Craig. But like i said - Well Done.
  20. A good goal keeper should be in command of his penalty area and should be shouting instrutions to his defenders at the top of his voice. My seat in the Nother Stand is close behind the goal and I seldom hear Mikey shouting at his defence. I think our defence are at sixes and sevens if they do not have confidence in the goalie and I think that is part of our problem. As has been said, we have not seen enough of Esson in competitive games to judge his ability in comparisson to Fraser but with his experience with Aberdeen I feel he would bring some confidence back to our defence and hope that CB gives him the chance on Saturday.
  21. BigTFan replied to BA's topic in Caley Thistle
What a great day out in Aberdeen! Tried some new pubs and the grub in the Bon Accord Golf Club where the pre match crack was great. Great company, great away support, great team display, great goals and great result. Even our team, led by Barrowman made the effort to acknowledge our support. The atmosphere at the end was tremendous. Great to be top of the league - Keep it up. Roll on Hamilton - hope the atmosphere is half as good.
  22. Having been brought up in the posher side of the town (Hilton) I was always a staunch Thistle supporter and enjoyed their many successes. I always felt that hte merger was forced on us by the other side and they got the better of the bargain. However I have my happy memories. seldom miss a home game now.
  23. I agree with you completely. I think dennis has been treated appallingly and someone has to answer for it.
  24. I remember when dennis first came to us and he was hopeless. It wasn't till Pele put him on the transfer list that he came tolife and the rest is history. Could it repeat itself?
  25. Reedee, Do you have a sister called Hannah who goes to games with you?
