You might, but I don't think the players would!!

I think there maybe a song for this. "Down the Bru, with Terry and Mo. Down the Bru with Terry and Mo".
  3. How'd that work out for you, eh Owain? Glad you wanted something different from the SPL - Hibs have delivered that in spades for you next season, Having spoken to OTJ on a few occasions just before he left there was more to his leaving than this usual "New club, new challenge" tripe that is always trotted out. He sat with ICT fans at the semi-final and has a lot of time for our club and fans.
  4. It's excellent we have a settled squad and don"t have to spend the close season searching for half a team as in the past, but a couple of new faces always freshens up a club and builds up excitement amongst fans. The best signings we could make would be Shinnie, Mckay, Meekings etc. on extended deals.

No lover of McPake but you could show videos of Warren, Meekings, Tremarco, Foran, Tansey and Watkins all doing similar last season. But I agree McPake is gash.

Signed a three year deal with Leeds and will be back there next season.

Can"t comment on currant players but on the Munro, Duncan and Tokely situation I personally think it was the right decision at the time and the progression of the club since has proved this. Still doesn't stop me laughing at Butcher and Petrie. Butcher in the stand at Easter Road when still our manager has come back on him now.

With the two T.V companies probably wanting to show more Hearts, Hibs and Rangers away games it should mean more 3pm Saturday kick offs for us. All good as far as I'm concerned.
  9. Why so early the world cup will probably be on that night Could be because Highland League clubs season starts early with cup games at the end of July and league games on 2nd August.
  10. Caley D will be pleased!!!
  11. Yes, he conspired to have bullets sent in the post to him, to be assaulted while doing his job at Tynecastle (and for the assailant to be acquitted), and to have to live with a personal bodyguard. That's some "conspirisy" be f**k. The totally despicable actions of these people have nothing to do with football or his management abilities but hiding inabilities by threatening to write to the SFA about decisions against his team and his part in the infamous dossier of conspirisies that never saw the light of day and his all round ability to never accept his team were beaten by a better team worked straight into the hands of the diluded fans. Never defeated always cheated. But of course lets not read what's posted and just put a spin on things to avert peoples gaze from what was actually being said. Lennon could have written that post. And to be clear, my disgust at the non-football crap he had to endure holds no bounds but had nothing to do with my post.
  12. Thought he is very overrated as a manager. With no competition he won 3 titles but was out witted tactically in so many cup games during his time. Was not a good ambassador for his club but fitted into the fans conspirisy mindset and often played to it.

It's a shame Sky don't have a "Butchercam" for the play-off games. If Hibs are struggling his face and reactions will be a picture.
  14. Could be wrong but I think it has to do with the new sponsorship. I think the shirt needs SFA approval and sponsors logo has to conform to certain rules. This may be the reason.
  15. I believe it's the first time the letter "J" has appeared on the trophy. Got me thinking - how on earth would they fit our name on? What about when the engraver put " Jesus Christ!!! Not St Mirren".

I believe a certain Mr Mckay maybe making us smile again soon, possibly before jetting off to South America with N. Ireland

Despite my own reservations which I'm not going into, the club seems to be getting better and better and the future looks very bright in the hands of our board and chairman.
  18. Gary Warren has signed up for another 3 years.

Gary has signed a new 3 year deal. Well done to both club and player.
  20. Does anyone know which bars still run buses to home games. I recall Gellions, Heathmount, Phoenix, Dows, Fairways and somewhere in Culloden as well as the Caley Club. There was a free bus from the bus station as well. Do all or any still run (I know the Caley Club does)?
  21. Eagle you are twenty two years to late to see Caley play in Perth Caley were defeated 3-0 in a Scottish cup tie after a 2-2 draw in the first game in Inverness Anyway congratulations to St Johnstone I'm delighted for my Perth friends I wonder was Davie from caleyjagsforever at the game decked out in his Arab regalia Dougal We've played in Perth loads since then, we even played the Challenge cup final there....Where have you been He's talking Caley as opposed to Caley Thistle. Or just talking b001cks as usual. Big G
  22. Good honest club beating cheating, greeting, moaning club. We'll done the Perth Saints. Don't damage the trophy as it will be ours next May.
  23. I see Chalie Taylor has been offered a new contract at Leeds. Really happy for him. Always did well when playing for us.
  24. Have we become the victims of our own success? The club progressed quickly through the divisions picking up more fans at every stage. Add in giant killing cup exploits in the first 10 years which brought a few more. The start of the SPL in Aberdeen didn't help initial top flight crowds but when back at TCS crowds were healthy. The problem then became that fans started seeing the same teams over and over again and after ten years of upward motion we started get bogged down in relegation battles. All this adds to the effect that we have reached our core support and the " Big Teams" at TCS is no longer the pull it was.
