  1. Not exactly a rousing cry of support on the STV news from Mr Sutherland for either Mr Butcher or his words is it? Hmmmmmm? Is it not also very odd that the fans seem to have such a different view to that of Mr Sutherland whose investment, whether emotional or financial, would hardly be worth much at all if all the fans got so angry that they decided to boycott all the matches all at once? It would be well to rememberthat it is he who pays the piper that calls the tune...... Maybe he should consult the paying customer first before he emotes his veiled words about it being the board's responsibility to engage in politics and the Manager's responsibility to run the team. How can a Manager run a successful team when a match such as this may have been lost by tiredness engendered by malignant forces arraigned against him, not countered in any way by our own team's higher officials. I think that he deserved much more in the way of support from the Chairman of the Board of Directors than this thinly-veiled insult. . Methinks he would have been better to refrain from any comment at all rather than "damning" the Manager by implication by expressing his faint-hearted and purely political views. By responding in this way he would have not committed his Board and the club to any position on the issue but, again by implication, backed-up his Manager who simply stated words that everybody else sees as the truth. And do we yet have an answer as to why ICT were forced to travel on two long journeys to the Glasgow area there and back within days when there were other teams who could easily have been obliged to do this at less physical cost to their operation and performance on the park against the so-called superior team , Glasgow Rangers.? As it was, this is too much of a stretch to swallow the suggestion that this was not deliberate and one cannot help but feel that the "people" in the Scottish football headquarters who arranged this fixture at SUCH short notice also had in mind the fact that a tired ICT team could lose to Rangers more readily. Our disdain for them increases by the minute. In Canada, politicians are regarded as liars and self-serving,lazy individuals who very frequently have their own agendas rather than doing their duty of attending to the interests of their constituents with few exceptions; and I prefer the company of an honest broker like Terry or George Fraser any day to that of any politician to whom I have had significant personal exposure in my lengthening lifetime. What I have in mind regarding future donations is that sums could be put into a Bank Account as they are gathered, possibly under the auspices of the Supporters Trust. Control of disbursements of money to be by no less than five people sitting on a commitee with a majority vote required to withdraw and disburse the money. Receipts required of course for all disbursementsa and a financial accounting to be published here online at the end of the process. Any funds left over to be allocated to charity or to be ploughed back into the club to assist in youth development or in any way that Mr Butcher deems fit. Other suggestions regarding this process would be welcome.
  2. After listening to Terry's passionate and courageous speech I know there may be a backlash from the indolent frogs sitting on their toadstools in the SFA buildings or wherever. They will try to hurt him and to shut his mouth..No chance of the latter I can assure them and I can also assure them that he has now has plenty of support from the real heart of Scottish Football -the fans who pay their money to watch the game. Just in case Terry gets fined by these hypocrites in GlASGOW I AM WILLINGB TO SEND 50 POUNDS TO PUT INTO A FUND TO SUPPORT TERRY IF 50% OF ALL THE MEMBERS OF THIS WEBSITE ARE WILLING TO DO THE SAME. If we could get it up to 75% that would be fantastic and 100% would ensure that we could also hire a Lawyer to support him against the arrogance and self-serving attitudes of these dinosaurs to ensure that he continues to speak his mind, state the truth and make REAL Change in Scottish Football. Let's hear your voices all supporters of Inverness Caley Thistle and other clubs. Scarlet.
  3. Second thought--what a leader!
  4. Brilliant! Send this out to all the other clubs Fans Forum or their Management. Get it out on the radio,,whatever.STir the frigging pot. We must suppoprt this man . A man after my own heart. The Robert de Bruce of Scottish football.
  5. Gentlemen, Please! To stop the stream of income flowing into the club when the club's top officials, e.g Mr George Fraser and Mr T. Butcher, are making waves and putting their comments where their mouth is, would be extremely unfair to them and counter-productive to the health of the club. So long as you pay your entrance fee to allow the club to survive you will be doing the right thing. After that, any legal protest you want to organise is perfect. Here is another thought for you to mull over ---if the fans of Caley Thistle withdraw their financial support then you will simply play into the hands of the people in Scottish Football who tried to stop the club from progressing from the lower leagues into the Spl and may still have that as a hidden agenda. Why? Maybe they hate to travel North and get beaten for their pains by what they would still like to see as a Highland League outfit. And I, for one, would put nothing past them....!! These rotten sods tried every negative dirty trick in the book to put Caley Thistle down and deserve a kick up the backside for it which , of course, is what ICT did to them by makiing such phenomenal progress as they have done to date--giving these characters the finger in no uncertain way. Neil Doncaster has recently taken over his new job and obviously is going to toe the party line at this time so don't be too hard on him yet. If, for example, Terry Butcher had applied for the job, the SFA or whoever hired him would not have hired Terry because he thinks for himself and is one of independent thought --which is the last thing that these guys need or want at this or any other time. So does Doncaster have any choice at this time, folks? Come on!Of course not! He is clever with words but he is NOT a challenge to the established forces around him. Let's face it, any Executive who takes on his job with the attitude of these jerks all around him has a sorry road to travel at best. And he was not hired to try to Doncastrate them. With friends like these "top" officials in power, who needs enemies. He comes in at the right time for genuine change but the wrong time for him. I see him as a survivor though......able to bend with the prevailing wind.
  6. I hope so too. Desperate to hear it. I know it will be from the heart. Bully for you Terry my man.
  7. Wow. Hope I can find it somewhere to listen. Will there be a link to Terry's rant on the front of the Caley Thistle Online web page Scotty-- maybe? I could not get any commentary anywhere for today's match so I went on the perfectly poor two people and looked at the Ayr versus Hibs game. Even in the three minutes that I watched, it was a very lackadaisical and depressed, inactive Hibs lot on show. I could not detect any urgency or drive. To be perfectly frank it looks as if the players have lost all interest and have almost given up. I agree that that was only a few minutes but --where is this team going--relegation maybe? Good for Ayr another payday to help them along.
  8. I liked the Roy McBean interview, Very amusing in places.
  9. And, before I go to bed, the other question is ..."What part has the T.V. Revenue played in all this?" And..." If Mr George Fraser, who is a very shrewd business man, thinks that a 14 -team SPL was viable then what were the criteria and forces at work here that jockeyed the other rebels , or bullied them, into apparent submission. And, remember when the barstewards tried to prevent ICT from joining the SPL and forced us to go to Pittodrie to get our chance,we had a petition going on our webpage which garnered a lot of signatures and won the day. I think we should do it again and contact all the website forums of as many other clubs as possible to rally their support. As for boycotting? --not yet. That will only hurt George Fraser and the Club when they need our support the most. Wait until the Old Firm games come up and go to all the home matches but walk out after 20 minutes enmasse, as someone has suggested, and demonstrate outside the stadium peacefully to attract media atention and DO NOT GO AT ALL to Ibrox and Parkhead for every other match. Don't put a cent into the pockets of Rangers or Celtic .
  10. Well, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. If the fans get bored stiff with such a poor variety of fare then there may well be a significant backlash. Clubs will then rue the day. Once you lose a customer (and this to the clubs is a business not a pleasure trip first off)it is very hard to get them back even if senior fooitball in Scotland has a bit of a monopoly. The truth is that a resentful customer (fan) is not a good propect for a future sale. When the purveyor of the service gets arrogant or complacent with either their service, or their attitude, --OR BOTH-- then there is a fall coming down the road. At that point a huge change of heart, and darned quick it will have to be, will be mandatory on the part of the beaks or the whole damn game will die on the vine. If all the "rebels" caved -in all I can ask is how much money did it take to win them over?
  11. Gingerjaggy - is there something fishy about that?
  12. That's not a bad -looking team the day. Strongish, like.
  13. Sanchez will be on later and may score the winner .......
  14. Caley 100 ..then you must have a hard time spelling orgasms . But when you master the spelling of both then you will be fine....
  15. I would not mind seeing the Elgin game but canna find it ...? Och.
  16. Caley 100. I don't know to what you are referring,I am sure.? Sniff. But coxaleekie soup is in vogue in Canada now. And I think you might make a good cox-swain of the punt that a few few punters on here row around this site. But, anyway, the Scarlet One will simply cox a snoot at any such mysterious remarks in the future.
  17. What if he did move to Hibs and they were relegated. Would Hibs still have to pay him the agreed wage? Under contract, probably ..yes. Heard nothing more form the Russian club? Maybe the money they are paying him per week would not allow them to offer much more than the 100,000. But that must mean that wealth at that club is not limitless so would he always get paid on time? If not, he would have a very lonely vigil out there in the wilderness - who could he turn to for help? I wish him well though. Hope it works out for him and the club. Let's say that Hibs did take him for $200,000 pounds . After paying 40% to the other club, having paid $50,000 for him originally how much does that leave--L70,000 less tax? Is that a sufficient return on ICT's investment of time and training, encouragement, injury treatment costs, et al? I am not sure that it is ....but...maybe a bird in the hamd is worth two in the bush...egad.
  18. The lad must be given a fair chance before pulling him down.
  19. The best typewriter thatI ever worked with was a very old Olivetti where you really had to type the buttons hard . But this had great advantages. Nearly always, what you thought that you were typing was in fact what appeared on the page so I got up a ferocious speed. Now, on this cissies light- fingered computer variety I spend more time correctiong the mistakes than I do almost to type the words. It's awful, especially when you can hardly see the keys. I am thinking about going back to the old guy again because I LIKE IT. By the way, once it reaches 100 years old I will be in possessiono of an antique which will fetch a lot of money I will wager. Any takers?-of course, you will have to pay the postage , however. I mean, Canada Post wanted me to pay $54 for sending a DVD to the U.K. before Christmas including a tracking code and Registration. Without tracking it was going to cost me $46 which you can roughly divide by 1.50 to get the pounds. The weight was 0.57kilos. I am still recovering from the shock.
  20. Some of you guys are Cox 2 inhibitors.
  21. OCH! Preposterous over the Bosporus.
  22. Gotta hand it to Pull My F...r for taking on the sage, old warhorse Mannie the man. Extricated himself rather well I think --the lad has spirit. Mantis, thou doth have a sharp eye--many years as a teacher I suppose sharpens the wits, lessens the fits and gathers the bitsand sorts out the twits--all presnet company excluded of course.
  23. SCotty When do you sleep?
  24. The "turn-down" is hopefully another indication that Inverness Caledonian Thistle is maturing into a top club that insists on receiving fair market value for their star players and are no longer willing to roll over and die with their tongues hanging out as soon as a nice wee bid comes in. All things considered, there seems to be no reason why Adam could not be expected to attract bids of up to 200,000 pounds. Now, if The Russian club really wanted to up their bid they could also ask for Jonny to support Adam and then what? AAARgh Otherwise I am certain that it would be reasonable to assume that there is plenty wealth behind that club. Many of the rebellious oil kings in that area have been dispossessed for not playing ball with the rulers and their oil interests taken-over and handed out to pals of the Government. Meanwhile said oil persons are in jail --one for 15 years, I saw recently .Jeez! Hang inthere Terry and get what you and the club are entitled to.
  25. Dewsbury Dude You are an ironic, funny guy. Hoch hoch
