Inverness CT -V- Hearts
If Mohammed won't come to the mountain then the mountain must come to Mohammed! i.e The club must now spend time and money in every way possible to promote this club to the fans in Inverness and district when they are on the crest like this. When they are down in the dumps that is not the time to do it because the product on the park will at that time not be so attractive. Once you can get the average punter through the turnstiles, and he enjoys what he sees, then he will come back (hopefully) and tell other people to go as well. Anything ...like a lottery offering with season tickets or a substantial ticket package as the winning prize and free entry for children. Offer tours of the stadium to boys and girls and have them meet with the Board for a brief chat and have a kick-about with rapid penalty kicks with Dean Brill for say ten minutes. He allows 70% percent to score, falling around in the wrong direction. And just have a great day inside the park. Meet the players and chit chat-very personable and very inspiring for youngsters. The kids then go home glowing and tell their parents what a great time they had and urge them to take them to a match or matches. The first time they do that they get one ticket free for another adult--that means mum can go along as well for a real family day out. Dunno if I am on the right track but it's worth a try. Suggestions?

So Hearts brought about 1,000 then? That means another very poor turnout from the Inverness public. Maybe 3,000 maximum? So sad! What is it--the price too high in these difficult days?

Season Ticket Sales
Average ticket in Vancouver is about 20 dollars ($20. Can). That's about 13-to 14 piounds, As an experiment I think the club should try reducing the price for the next two to three home matches just to get data and see what happens. i.e if the SFL allows this,of course.

Yes but isn't it five pounds per head provided it relates to at least 650 full-paying adults minimum. not kids. Question is : how many kids are included in that large figure. Personally speaking, I think it would be great if they just paid Hearts the 5 pounds per adult regardless of how many kids come up. Goodwill would be massive.

The whole point is that ICT will benefit financially, not make a loss. They are ahead--right? .......................Hullo!!!!! And make friends of the fans who are hardly to blame for the schemzozzle dumped upon them by that European lad. Vlad had an idea that turned out to be really bad Spend money that he didnae have but thought he had At the end of the day he was revealed as small and sad, Back up a Tad,.........Vlad was Mad And we hope that's the end of that tune, E'Gad.- Helping out Hearts
If we want ICT to progress then we have to let the past slide away into obscurity and concentrate on the future. In case any of you younger element haven't noticed, life is short. The ICT Management is making both a generous, and a calculated business, gesture which is fine by me. Remember .."There but for the grace of God go I." Hearts are an integral part of Scottish Football and, frankly, the demise and/or near death of so many former prominent teams is something we should be scared of ...and a sad reflection of the current state of football in Scotland . If it keeps on like this how many decent team will there be left against whom we can strut our brilliant stuff ? This is a positive gesture by ICT which should be applauded and supported. It's smart, shrewd and generous and will make friends not enemies who will remember us when we have won the league. Be nice to people on the way up because you may need them on the way down. If you love football then we should welcome the hearts fans with open arms and wish them well under any future "new" management.- Celtic Preview & Report by IHE

Full tilt from the off. Scvorese- Where do the ICT support originate from?
Thurso huh. Lauraness? Then you may know Martin Rennie, the current Manager of the Vancouver Whitecaps, our Major League Soccer team, or his family who comes from that area, first Thurso. From what I have read his dad was a pastor up there. Not sure of his football background but he made a name for himself in the earlier, lower league teams in the U S , was spotted by someone and got the job here in Vancouver.- Such positivity.........so pleasing
As a very young man I was sent to Leven in Fife after I resumed my banking career. This was after I had met Bughtmaster in North Germany in the RAF and was demobbed after two years National Service. Every other Saturday I walked from Leven to Bayview Park , Methil, for at least a few years to watch a somewhat ordinary side named East Fife. Whether I enjoyed all the games immensely or not was always secondary to the fact that I had something to look forward to on a Saturday and occasionally you would see what you would imagine was the game of the century when both teams would go on fire and goals would flow one after the other. The pace and the striving would be thrilling and that is what football is all about. That's what is the drug--the uncertainty of what you are about to witness, IMHO. With ICT being at the pinnacle of their history now it is ridiculous to say that the park is too far away. That's just an excuse. Let's face it, once the football gets its claws into you then you just have to get up off your chair, put away the pipe and slippers and limp five miles to the park. Eh?- Inverness CT -V- Motherwell
Yes, Renegade ,I raised my eyebrow at Terr's remark too. Thought he might have added something like.."So I urged the team on to score another quick one to consolidate our position.."etc. Terry is rarely lost for a word though. I think, between one thing and another (e.g. having Malpas and the scouts we have on board), that we are also lucky to have Mr. Butcher at the helm at this stage of the development of the team.- Walter Smith quits Rangers!
DraganICT--are you a season ticket holder by any chance?- Where do the ICT support originate from?
Alex--you continually stun me with your surprises. One of the original world travelers it appears! Smile. Ingvar Gunn. Welcome to this exotic forum of frantic football-mad fans. In Scotland the clan Gunn originated with the Vikings invading the Northern Isles and then settling in the north of Scotland. Their name was close to a similar Norse word, "GUNNI", meaning warlike or into and loving fighting. From what I have read the clan Gunn were not shy to get into a fight in Scotland and were often sought after to support other clans in their warlike endeavours.I think they finally settled in the North West probably because it was isolated and difficult to get to. You can read this very interesting and well-researched article from a Scotsman named Scottie who sends me stuff every so often. He is a clever man and does meticulous research so you can trust his comments!:- http://www.rampantscotland.com/clans/blclangunn.htm Kind regards Scarlet- Inverness CT -V- Motherwell
I am not sure whether Manfer , you wrote the report or was you, Scotty, but I enjoyed it immensely. And a big thanks for including the videos which , of course, make my day in the wilds of the Canadian wilderness. Without that presentation we would maybe be waiting a long time to see these videos or even not at all so , again, many thanks. Foran's goal was one of the most professionally-executed goals I have seen in a long time. Great timing and he appeared to know exactly what he was going to do to score. He really is an accomplished professional foiotballer and we are really lucky to have him. A think of beauty , so it was. Beware Partick Thistle this season--this is a well-supported team with passion, fitness, no end of desire and skill and seem to be as fit as a fiddle. One touch, pass, run and crack the thing and they could score a barrow-load once they get the first few. Very nice team-play to watch too....aggressive, sharp and fast. I see them as a little bit like the early Caley Team and, once they again establish their presence in the SPL, they could be a great addition to this League. So far so good for them. Hearts played plucky against them and the goal scored by Heart's Walker was also a thing of beauty ... consummate control, skill and dynamic finishing. This goal really turned my crank and IMHO it was an absolutely breathtaking bit of skilled football. Cheers S,P, Motherwell did not seem to be too concerned at stopping the Caley Thistle players. They seemed to stand off the advance-ing blues without even making an attempt to tackle and they got what they deserved. Mind you all I have to go on are- Celtic - Bring it on
Nah Just Stay in Edinburgh and dine at the sumptuous, newly refurbished, 24 million pounds face-lifted, Waldorf Astoria Caledonian hotel in West Princess Street.. Sean Connery tells me that it is the last word in luxury and Haute Cuisine. Just don't ask for the bill at the table. Oh!, and if you fancy a wee scenic trip through the Rockies in Canada when you are next over here, just call the Rocky Mountaineer Railway for a trip of a lifetime. Haute Cuisine again, but with a view. http://www.google.ca/search?q=Rocky+Mountaineer+Railway&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-US:IE-Address&ie=&oe=&gws_rd=cr&ei=yRsQUsP5D4m4yQGU2IH4Cw- Inverness CT -V- Motherwell
