  1. Charlie--that too! A prodigy at four years old.
  2. Ryan Esson seems to have had a stormer of a game today. Congratulations to players, Management and staff at the club for an absolutely incredible season.
  3. Oddquine-- For once you have lost me with your obscure comments about the Alberta, Canada election. Did your pal tell you the rest of the saga though.? This was a Provincial election, not a General Election, in a Province which has had a conservative Government for 40 consecutive years and is the wealthiest Province in Canada (or WAS!!!!). Isn't that a recipe for complacency or what? So the provincial Conservatives finally shot themselves in the foot, what with using the provincial coffers as a slush fund for their own personal use, and the last Government making bad decisions with regard to spending and policies seemingly based on the assumption that the oil revenue would last for ever and that the millions that used to be in funds specifically sidelined for future projects could be spent unwisely and at random or had already been squandered on stuff that never came to fruition. Then the price of oil dropped like a stone and the chickens came home to rest with a vengeance. The net result is that the place is in a shambles financially and politically and the populace rose up en masse and threw out the conservatives by decimating them down to only 5 seats forcing their leader to resign and his political career, either local or Canadian, is stated by the pundits to now be over. The new leader is an aggressive, down-to-earth, woman lawyer who has the big challenge of having to work with, and train, many rookies who were never expected to get elected and, at this time, must be in a state of shock having no political experience whatsoever. So the voters have decided that taking a big chance to achieve change is the only way to go now and the devil tak the hindmost. If this new, female Albertan leader does an outstanding job by appeasing the panic in the oil patch from hearing that they will now have to pay higher royalties to the Provincial Government and also stabilize the ship , then watch out for her to go full out for the Prime Minister of the land after another 4 years assuming that the National Democratic Party wins our General Election in October 2015,. This huge, totally unexpected, win for the NDP has left the country in total shock and our national Prime Minister must be calling out for the smelling salts because, sure as ICT is going to win the cup, he is going DOWN to defeat in the General Election in October. He's been in for about 9 years I think as a Conservative and, since there are basically only two other realistic contenders, namely the Liberals under Justin Trudeau (the son of the former Prime Minister of Canada) and Thomas Mulcair who is an experienced National Democratic Party politician and a very bright and hard working NDP leader, then it could well be that the Conservatives in this country are facing another heavy defeat. What happens in the U K may be the same scenario. The world is a fast paced billet these days and the politicians can't hide any more without maybe paying a heavy price. As I write this the die may by now be cast -- so it's back to the TV with bated breath. And never a dull moment.
  4. Or she said to you..." You ARE silly........get off."
  5. From the first time I saw him I thought that Williams was a likely lad. Determination written all over his play. And one of his goals very close to the beginning of this season was a cracker. I'm very pleased that this hard-working lad is coming into contention for a regular place in the team all of which should lead to his maturing into a dynamic player for ICT--if he wants to continue to put out the effort. Look how Ryan Christie has come on......... Seems like a great win indeed
  6. Them thar gasoline dispensers will fetch a pretty penny now in Canada.
  7. I wouldn't be a bit surprised Charlie. Looks gey small though from this rear-side angle. That was a massive wheel I remember. Someone told me that the whole mill has gone now. Is this correct?
  8. Heh Dougal--the main thing is that you are GOING!
  9. IBM--do you carry a car manual in your back pocket perchance? As car salesperson you could rock and roll.
  10. Ummmmmmmm. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr? Thinks. "Once these newbies get settled they think they can say anything..."
  11. Our general election is in October. Reading this to tune up .......
  12. Is the first one an "Allard"?
  13. Unless he says things that some other people like and/or have been waiting to hear for a long time......? Especially with he alternative being to listen to the likes of the two-faced, self-serving politicians like D. Cameron and the three- faced Tony Blair.....?
  14. Nice script !! Professional-looking.
  15. Absolutely, IHE. The main point of course.
  16. On another note, deep satisfaction that you have won this award. Richly deserved Mr. Hughes. And great kudos also to Mr. Cameron for supporting you wholeheartedly through thick and thin. What a team.
  17. IHE it's quite obvious that you don't suffer from prostatitis and all body parts are working as they should. But, ooh you are the only man in town that can make a Pimple blush. But you would never know it 'cos I'm red all over as it is. Ha! Ha!
  18. And there is a tea shop nearby on the nearest end sign, like..
  19. Laurence..my Doctor told me a few months ago that every man over 70 has some form of cancer in that region. My Dad had an enlarged prostate and so do I though not quite as bad as he had ......... yet. I take an Arthrotec pill (to reduce the inflammatory process of arthritis in the joints) on the odd occasion when it needs to be attended to. This inhibits or stops the production of prostaglandins which directs the inflammatory processes all round the body so the pressure on the nerves subsides along with the pain. Prostate cancer is slow growing as I understand it. Need to keep an eye on the annual PSA readings of the blood test results...... Finding a cure is the 21st Century challenge of the world isn't it?
  20. Gutta Percha, Bughtie---or just plain gutted that he got a job?
  21. Humberside Dude. The pub at Blacktoft was deffo on the South side of the river because I remember the river ran to my right (Eastwards) as I approached it's hallowed portals. Smile. The lass who was associated with that pub took me under her wing, met me off the train in Hull where she was a nurse and took me to the pictures. So, to recapitulate..my father's sister lived in a little cottage very near the pub on the South side of the river Humber. She was married to Mr. Ollie Freeman, as I recall, a very kind and gentle man indeed. Weeton Cornflakes.?
  22. The peccadillos of his pontificating personality are of no consequence to me since we are all human and different. More often than not, these can actually be quite entertaining or amusing. But what set my fuse alight was when it became very apparent that he had crossed the line by contacting the HIbs before (in one way or another) he had informed the club of his strategy or intentions. That was against the rules and if any fan thinks that is right then welcome to a "no rules" environment and chaos wrapped in the dissipation and subsequent dereliction of duty and loyalty etc.. Especially when the Management of the club had treated him fairly and squarely and rightly would have expected to have been taken into his confidence as a minimum. The flaring match that set alight my second fuse was his insults to both the Management and fans of ICT by sitting in the stand with the Hibs' management at the first game against ICT at Easter Road as if the ICT people had never been fair to him or guiven him his chance to shine in the sun.
  23. Yogi by an Irish mile. Tremedous achievement this season.
  24. Here's another reference for you King B................ It's a song that used to be popular some years ago on the Rock scene....entitled " I'm a King Bee." Great Ditty.
  25. Humberside Dude Interesting co-incidences :- 1. I have my Scottish bank account (RBS) in Burnside, Rutherglen. That's where I worked before emigrating to Canada. 2. My father as born at Goole very close to the Humber river. Know either location? Have you heard of Blacktoft, also very close to the river Humber?
