I am speculating that his actions contributed to us losing the game. I fail to see how it is Butchers fault that Tokely was sent off.

Cowie and Rankin, at County, were polar opposite midfield players. Cowie did the spade work whilst Rankin finished moves off. Cowie was "converted" to a right side midfielder when he arrived but Rankins departure left us short of a goal threat and we were poorer in terms of creativity in the middle of the park as a result.

    Outstanding.

Well if you are looking at it from the Butcher period then I would find it hard to disagree with that. I think Vigurs would easily be the best midfielder in the current set up.

No it wasn't. I would say it was certainly the latest in a long line of blunders but the first, and biggest mistake, was losing / not replacing Rankin when he left.

Did Butcher get Tokely sent off? My concerns are growing but for a long time it's been clear we aren't good enough to go back up so these results are no longer surprising to me.

I mind that game. Golabek nearly killed him with a thundering challenge on the left side in front of the Main Stand. You could hear Bazzas yelp from the terracing behind the goals :D

Both Wyness and Wilson will get a warm reception from me prior to the game. I won't be booing them during the game or at any other time unless they start a fight which would be comedy gold. I just won't do anything. I wonder if they would celebrate if they score? We've seen recently a few players not celebrate after scoring against their former clubs. Hopefully we won't be in that situation tomorrow!
  10. I'd be staggered if we sold more than 3,000 tickets for this game.

He was good for the final 20 minutes or so but aside from that I thought he offered precious little. I know you are now his number 1 fan but I haven't seen anything from the lad to warrant him securing a starting place week in week out.
  12. Dundee only had 2321 at their game v Annan. Give both teams one stand each and be done with it.
  13. Hi Lionel *waves to Lionel*

Hi Roy *waves to Roy* Seriously though I agree. I think McBain can do a job for us at this level. I would happily see him in the team ahead of some of the other guys. He might not be the most creative player going but he is solid and reliable and could easily do a job anywhere down the left or in the middle of the park. Very much worth a place amongst the subs at least.
  15. What about all your negative comments about Rooney? Not really supporting the team either...
  16. He had already been thrown out but somehow he had managed to sneak back in from the other side of the North Stand. It was pretty obvious he was sozzled as he started "busting a move" in front of a policeman at the front of the North Stand just before half time which kind of drew attention to him. After a wee wait for him to come back from the pie stand / toilets they threw him out before he reappeared at the goal.
  17. There's a bit more to it than that though :clapping03:
  18. How dreadful are some of the players that turn out for Rangers and Celtic now? Interesting game regardless with some comedy moments like Miller playing a one two off a Rangers players face, Laugherty kicking some lad in the balls, Loovens and McManus "defending" and Boyd jumping for a header about 5 minutes too early and falling on his arse as the ball sailed over his head. Comedy stuff.
  19. I thought I heard people booing Golabek at times but there must be a story behind it that I don't know. Maybe it wasn't even booing and was something else.
  20. Can't say I am overly bothered by them chanting it. I thought it was funny to be honest but I wonder if those who felt moved to complain about the ICT fans will do so about the County supporters. Actually, I bet this whole thing was started by a County fan pretending to be an Inverness follower.
  21. Your concern is appreciated.
  22. Anyone hear the County fans chanting "I'd rather be a Gypo than a tink?" during the game?
  23. :) I'm in Inverness for Bloc Party tonight at the Ironworks.
  24. Joe DiMaggio "busting a move" in front of the policeman was the only highlight of the day for me.
  25. It's in the P & J today: http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1423887
