I arrived at the game about 5 minutes late on Saturday. Walking along by the stadium I wasn't even sure if it had kicked off yet such was the lack of noise. It was only when I saw a ball lumped high in the air towards the South Stand did I know the game had started. And that we were attacking the South Stand.
  2. Certainly for the first goal it looks as if he stoops to head the ball but pulls out or misses it completely. Sure but at the same time he came rushing in to close McGinn down but he (McGinn saw him coming and just sidestepped him before nipping off with the ball. Tokely committed himself far too early but he will know that.
  3. Why is that pathetic and sad?
  4. Am I right in saying that people are letting this Section G lot sit together by giving up their seats so they can make a noise? I'm sure I read Alex saying one of them sits in his seat but he doesn't (usually) mind as they get an atmosphere going.

Which one of those two is your big team?
  6. McGinn didn't skin Tokely on the half way line. Tokely was at least half way inside his own half when McGinn went by him. But I agree that someone else in the defence should perhaps have taken control of the situation. If you look at the highlights Hastings is marking Brady and he has to leave him to cover Hamilton (or Mehmet) in the area. Imrie is still dawdling back and he could have covered the now unmarked Brady. I am doing this from memory too but it would seem that we didn't have enough folk back or turned on in defence to combat the increasing St. Mirren numbers in our box. absent friend - do you mean Duff was at fault for the 1st goal rather than the 2nd?
  7. And it would appear to be that the Inverness public are deciding that it isn't a fair exchange with the recent attendances against Hibs and St. Mirren well down on previous seasons. Do you think that a family of four paying ?106 for the game against Celtic or Rangers is getting value for money? A ?4 increase is, as LG says, over the top. Your admirable defence of the club is commendable. You should be their PR officer.
  8. They were more clinical in front of goal and deserved the three points for being able to stick the ball in the back of the net. I'm not sure what is so hard to understand.
  9. Unfortunately Duff played a vital part in conceding the first St. Mirren goal but on the whole I thought he did fine. Definitely one for the future. I think we will have Munro and Duff at the back next week.
  10. What has Vigurs done to warrant this stream of abuse? I thought he was by far one of our most creative players on Saturday. Look how many chances came from his passes or through balls! Well done Ian - keep it up! But I do agree with you on a fair few of those things. Namely the long ball issue. I think we might see Munro back next week to help marshall the defence.
  11. Hardly. Falkirk off the field seem to be a well organised bunch. Their procedure was simple. A coupon was included int he Falkirk Herald inviting Rangers fans to complete it and mail it to the club and receive up to 4 tickets per coupon. Any left unsold through this venture were then sold via the Falkirk ticket office for about 3 days. No extra staff were employed and no extra hours were put in. These were all done by the regular staff in their usual work day. Rangers fans all got their tickets in plenty of time and, as far as I know, the Away section was sold out. Why can't ICT do something like this? Aberdeen absorbed the extra charge into the tickets for Home and Away fans and then offered Home fans purchasing these tickets a money off voucher for the next, or a future, Home game. Will ICT do something similar to compensate their fans? There is only so long the club can milk the fans of their money. It would seem obvious that season tickets are down on last season, Saturdays attendance was 10% lower than previous fixtures against the Buddies. It's quite sad that the club would appear to view the Home fans simply as numbers and ? signs instead of what they actually are - followers of the team.
  12. I don't see any kind of rule that a fans forum must be positive about every game Billy. There are a right mixed bunch on here so people are always going to see the game differently. We certainly had some chances that were unlucky not to go in but you are kidding yourself if you didn't think that we were under the cosh in the 2nd half as Saint Mirren gained a strong foothold in our half of the pitch. With their increase in pressure came the two vital break throughs they needed. They took their chances and we didn't. They deserved the win.

Because the people over there tried to stand throughout the game despite repeated requests to sit down. No wonder it was a failure. The supporters that tried to use it thought that they were invincible. It would be great however if they could have a section of the ground that the stewards knew was going to contain more rowdy fans but ones who, when standing up, only did so with the intention of creating a good atmosphere. That way the stewarding could be more relaxed towards them.
  14. Why waste money on a 4th stand when we get shocking crowds like we did on Saturday? There is no point in building a 4th stand at the minute. If anything, I'd prefer to see better North and South stands being built for the fans who already go. A stand alongside the A9 is a waste of time.
  15. Our style of play is too similar home and away. In Inverness teams we should be looking to beat will play the same way as we do - counter attack - see Hamilton for example. We can't seem to break them down when invited onto them. But away from home we hit teams who are attacking us on the counter and it works. What is puzzling me is the contrast between the first half and second half performances in the last two games. They have been like night and day with the team strangely going to sleep in the 2nd it seems. If they can keep their first half effort going then I think we will roast a couple of teams in Inverness someday.
  16. If that is the case and these are "standard" prices for games v the OF I am speechless. A family of 4 to sit in the Main Stand will need to fork out ?106 :o
  17. I never noticed the price increase actually. Are those the standard prices for these games? Or are ICT doing an Aberdeen with regards to this ticketing issue?
  18. I am furious that they have not told Celtic to piss off. I would love to know what Mike Smith knows that we don't with regards to the majority comment. As far as I am aware there is no majority whatsoever in this issue. Falkirk have managed to handle it no problem whatsoever with no loss of revenue. Hopefully those at ICT remember to pull their trousers up after getting reemed by the Old Firm again. Hugely disappointed in them. But that's just the norm with those off the field at ICT these days :thumb04: EDIT: A quick look on P & B shows that the majority have in fact either not agreed to this plan or, if they have, they have raised the prices of tickets so the extra cash Rangers and Celtic will recoup are being cancelled out by their loyal fans having to pay more to get to these games. What a great way to treat your fans Shame that ICT have decided to ignore this and then try and tell us that the majority have agreed when it is clearly not the case.
  19. Odd. We managed to beat Falkirk last week with all three playing.
  20. Good lad. You do that.
  21. You know, sometimes it's better to bite your lip than to just shout filth and abuse at players. If you are going shout at them shout some encouragement instead of spouting vitriol.
  22. Where has this been documented? If you can provide a link that would be super.
  23. Barrowman scored those goals at a lower level though and by all accounts hasn't been that great recently. Nothing terrible just not getting the breaks that you need as a striker. Munro, as club captain, isn't necessarily a guaranteed start and he will know that to. What attitude issue is this? It's interesting you try and paint Vigurs as having an "attitude issue" when no one else seems to see it.
  24. I'll give you all of that with the exception of bursting the net. Nicuale only scored in about 6 games for us but he did have a wonderful touch and his link up play was superb. A joy to watch.
  25. You seem to have some kind of agenda against Vigurs. I fail to see what has prompted such a sustained attack on his performance today. He was definitely one of the better players on show today. Wood also showed raw potential and Duff had a tough task dealing with Hamilton and Mehmet. Not brilliant performances but your criticism of them is overkill.
