Cowie Reluctant To Commit To ICT
Isn't Tom Callaghan the guy who was causing problems with the Rankin transfer?

Cowie Reluctant To Commit To ICT
Sadly pretty much every club in Scotland aside from the Old Filth (to an extent) are used as a stepping stone.

If ICT did have this agreement with Marius then they should have had it down on paper. Saying that he said this, they said that is like being back in school and it's a bit pathetic that both teams are resorting to it. I'd imagine Marius will be pretty well off from this deal so I can see him waiving it to sign for Dinamo. What a saga this has been!

Falkirk can offer much better wages than us and can afford higher transfer fees. It's quite disappointing in this case as we have lost out on Burton O'Brien and Lovell but look at it like this - Falkirk beat us to the signing of John Stewart :004:

Hamilton and Dougie Imrie
If you read my post again then you will see there is no personal attack of any kind, just disagreement with what he has posted. It's all been sorted now anyway. Now where's that hug smiley? :003:

Hamilton and Dougie Imrie
No worries. Same thing could have happened if you took one St. Mirren fans view on Tokely - enough said about that! ICT fans of course say that the challenge that day was strong but accidental, something Buddies fans contest. A simple case of two sides to every story I think. I am sure Imrie can handle it though. The incident happened in 2006 (can't believe it's been that long!) and he will have come up against Accies and the abuse a few times since. I reckon he will have hardened to it. He was on the receiving end of some strong challenges in those games so i think the Accies one could be a tasty one for him personally.

Hamilton and Dougie Imrie
I think a lot of people will be unaware of why Imrie might get "treatment" from some of the Accies fans when we play them. This thread will enlighten them :003:

Hamilton and Dougie Imrie
There have been varying tales of the challenge but what appears to have come out most of the time is that McCabe slide in on Imrie who jumped up to avoid the challenge and upon landing (unfortunately) caught McCabe on the neck with his studs. He received CPR on the pitch and was then taken to hospital where the heart defect was discovered. I'm not "getting at" anything. I am not being sarcastic not provocative. Certainly not here anyway as I cannot see a single piece of sarcasm in there. Indeed my post would certainly be appearing to encourage debate with yourself! If that's the way the post came across (and I can't see how it does in all honesty) then I apologise but I honestly don't think it does. I was simply correcting some of the errors in your post one of which was particularly important as anyone with no knowledge of this incident would think that Imrie had killed the player! I agree with giving him support during the Hamilton game as they will more than likely boo him regardless. If you want to carry on with personal attacks leave it off the forum and take it the personal messaging system as I am not going to get caught up in it on here.

Yup and they are really building on that fanbase and this year looks a good year ahead for Falkirk FC. Certainly both St. Mirren and Falkirk fans are looking forward to this season a lot more than ICT fans going on what I've read (although I accept that won't be wholly representative but there certainly appears to be markedly different feelings about the approaching season).

Hamilton and Dougie Imrie
You really should have looked into this topic more. While some Hamilton fans say he laughed and it was deliberate Clyde fans (and just as many Accies supporters) say it was accidental and he never laughed at all. Furthermore, Imrie went to see McCabe in hospital after the challenge to see how he was doing and to apologise further. The player never died! He had to retire due to a heart defect doctors discovered while treating him after the incident with Imrie. Hamilton fans also seem to curl up when you ask them about Parrats allegedly brutal challenge on Imrie from behind because they can only see one baddie in the whole piece. Having just been on P & B it seems you got this from Accies1 - says it all really.

Aye I edited my earlier post after seeing Ross Ps one mentioning it.

There's a shock! :015: Where has this been reported? I can't recall anything about Marius agreeing to waive his slice of the deal so long as he got to join Dinamo. EDIT: Looking at RossPs post it would appear to have been on North Tonight. His preferred. As you can see earlier in the thread I have mentioned/questioned earlier regarding the deal. And: This agreement that marius should waive his cut of the fee is a new one on me and I expect many others.

Why should Marius have to sign a waiver? This is the part from ICT I don't understand. He had a clause allowing him to go to a bigger club if one was interested and he was always entitled to a share of the transfer. It would look like ICT have decided not to allow him to have this snip of the fee simply because he isn't going to the highest bidder.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ock/7514316.stm Very good signing for the Bairns who are really making some excellent strides since they came into the SPL. Fantastic stadium with a new stand being constructed, increasing numbers of season tickets being sold, good squad being assembled and a significantly better wage budget than ourselves. I can see O'Brien setting Lovell up for a few this season. Falkirk to break into the Top 6 this year I think. Much like Saint Mirren I am slightly jealous as an ICT fan with our club seemingly content to sit back and watch other teams promoted after us take more steps towards the Top 6.

Hamilton Game 16th August.
I was going to come to the first Accies v ICT until I saw your ticket prices. In terms of Adult prices that's even worse than ours!

Wasn't the deal simply that Marius could go if a bigger club made an offer for him and thus he would get a slice of the deal? I've not heard this "highest bidder" bit before. But I'm no longer sure what was said because it was probably a load of mince anyway whatever it was!
-
Niculae
Why are ICT refusing to give Marius his agreed cut of the transfer? Is it because he didn't go to the highest bidder?

2 minutes in a taxi. About 7 minutes walking maximum. 15 if you get attacked by the giant Aberdeen seagulls.

What a fantastic saga this is turning out to be I thought there would be nothing to keep us going until the season started when the Euros finished but here we go!

How many people actually believed ICT when they came out with this crap?
