Standing areas at Caledonian Stadium?
Indeed. And had we not asked if we could go back to Inverness half way through the SPL season we would have continued to play at Pittodrie in front of crowds of around 1,500.

New Skipper
Definitely Munro for me. He has come on so much in the last couple of years it really does beggar belief at times. He used to just be a bit part player with the odd appearance in the defence and now the thought of ICT starting a game without him makes you shudder. An excellent, excellent player.

Ross County appoint boss...
Fantastic appointment for them!

Standing areas at Caledonian Stadium?
Certainly no harm in asking is there? Given how popular "safe standing" areas are in Germany I do wonder if the SPL have been hasty in banning use of terracing or whatever they have done seeing as no one seems to know the rules laid down by them any more (see the Gretna/St. Mirren fiasco).

Supporters' Trust Statement No 2
Sadly they did not.

Today's stewarding.
Might have been covered elsewhere but I heard talk of one lad who attempted to complain about his treatment by the stewards only to be told by staff at the reception to "Go home!". Nice and helpful then.

Supporters' Trust Statement No 2
The singing section was much bigger than that honest! :015: Half of it disappeared into the North Stand for fear of getting wet :007:

Scott Brown
For a large part yes but both Brown and Thomson were playing for teams before they signed professional deals at Hibs. As far as I know O'Connor came 'all the way' through the youth system at Hibs and you could argue that Brown and Thomson did to a large extent as well.

Scott Brown
Not a chance! So Hibs have gotten nearly £7 million for Brown and Thomson now - well down Petrie! :015:

Singing Section in North Stand
Really? News to me. Where is the Family Section in the Main Stand again?
-
Singing Section in North Stand
Why are they shifting people from the Main Stand? What's happening there? EDIT: Screwed up the quote code.

Singing Section in North Stand
I admire your positive stance on this matter and your desire to see this happen but in doing so the club risk alienating some fans. Would they be prepared to do that? Section F and others behind the goals are popular for many reasons, singing being just one. It would be interesting if the club put out a tentative letter to gauge opinion on possible shifting of fans - would people be prepared to do so if it helped the atmosphere - in the next couple of weeks before they start trying to market season tickets.

Today's stewarding.
Good photo there me. Didn't realise it was that many standing up actually. Flower - for those unable to get a hold of the Courier can you tell us what is on the front page?

Singing Section in North Stand
Would you honestly give up your seat though that you have had for the past x number of seasons though? I think some would but I don't think all of the fans who currently sit there would do.

Today's stewarding.
I think that might even be only for International matches. Need to read this properly though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signal_Iduna_Park I read recently that Germany has the highest average attendance in the world for it's league games - could a combination of beer and standing areas be key to this? :015:

Bayne and Munro
Excellent stuff - the peroxide winger has been a revelation this season. Certainly my joint POTY with Hastings (and Scott Higgins).
-
Bayne and Munro
Amazed that both Wilson and Hastings haven't received some kind of recognition but well done to both Bayne and Munro :001:

Singing Section in North Stand
I wish but sadly it will never happen. Just as behind the goals was the place for atmosphere at Telford Street and also behind the goals at the TCS when there was terracing it is behind the goals now that a lot of people want to sit/stand/squat for that reason. However people also want to sit there for the view and I doubt they will give up their seats (and that's perfectly fair). I am sure I read/heard that there was a chance of a singing section next year in the North Stand but someone would need to confirm?

Today's stewarding.
Shame you feel like that Rosscoe. You should have said something to me on Saturday....when I was in the signing section with you all :011: "Tannadice Loyal Army!"
-
Today's stewarding.
I would imagine only if they stand celebrating it for a pro longed period of time.

Today's stewarding.
That appears to be the key thing here. People are annoyed at the inconsistency here. I don't agree with the "They are doing it to" argument with regards to Pars fans on Saturday. They hardly had anyone standing up. But when you have an over crowded South Stand with people in the aisles, posing a much bigger safety risk, you have to question why the stewards do not do anything about that. The answer, of course, is in your hypothesis. I would agree to be honest. It wouldn't have taken much to simply sit down but I would ask a couple of questions: 1) Was the force (allegedly) used to throw fans out excessive? 2) Did particular stewards threaten violence with fans who were already complying with them?

Pars Singing Section _ Bring it on.
They're never up that soon after a game! :015: Try the following afternoon at the earliest - they are up now.
