  1. Typical end of season affair but there were still some good chances throughout the game. While a draw was a fair result both sides had good opportunities to finish off the game. United were the first to threaten when Daly was played through but with Fraser rushing out of his goals to block all he could was header wide oft he target. Inverness were next to attack when a fierce Rankin free kick drew an unconvincing save from Stillie who could only palm the ball way. Smart build up play on the right saw Hunt play the ball into Robertson who attempted a cheeky lob over Fraser but got nothing on it to seriously test the keeper who was equal to it. Kalvenes sent in a dangerous ball which was attacked by Hunt who forced Fraser into a good stop with Caff completing the clearance under pressure from United attackers. Caff was having an excellent game at right back, reading the game well and getting some solid challenges in on United players. Hart scampered down the left wing to fire in a cross which went over Bayne and Marcus and cleared by the United left back. The next few chances would fall to United with a Daly header saved by Fraser and a good chance for Hunt sliced well wide of target. The impressive Gomes was performing well in midfield and a good cross by him was dealt with by Dods under pressure as United began to up the tempo. An ICT free kick saw a good chance fall to Dods but he skewed it wide and was flagged for offside in any case. Another good cross by Hart was cleared by Daly for a corner which resulted in nothing for ICT.Then, after smart build up on the right a cross in from Hunt saw Robertson steal an inch on his marker and flick the ball past Fraser into the net to give United a deserved lead. Into the 2nd half and a fierce challenge on Hart by Daly saw the first card of the game handed out. An ambitious overhead effort was attempted by Samuel and Fraser looked lively to tip the ball over. A free kick for Inverness saw us get the equaliser. Hart fired the ball in and Bayne was up well to flick past a despairing Stillie in the United goal. United tried to hit back when Kalvenes crossed for Daly to get another header in but Hastings blocked his effort. Another good cross by Hart found Dods with space to shot but he took too long and was closed down by a defender and the shot deflected wide. Again we threatened with a Richie cross and Bayne looked to be budged off the ball in mid air but the ball broke to McBain who dragged a shot wide - perhaps our best chance to win the game. United then began to press, they had a lot of the ball around the ICT box but seldom did much with it. The closest they came was a Duff cross which Fraser easily collected. Black came on for Hart and the first thing he did was send McBain free in behind the United defence but his cross was behind the strikers in the box. United were the better team in the first half but we were much improved in the 2nd. A share of the points was perhaps the fairest result. I thought we were playing 4 - 4 -2 with Hat up front. Similar to how we played against Motherwell at the end of last weeks game. I'd be amazed if the real attendance was anything over 3,500. Hart was wasteful but also creative - a furious combination to have. He did okay and seemed to be our most creative player and certainly our best crosser of the ball. Caff was excellent I thought. He read the game so well and was strong in the challenge. Was seldom beaten to the ball. McCracken - if he is still getting freed we should sign him. He was excellent yesterday and far better than Wilkie who they are retaining.
  2. And why do you say th....ach we could do this all night!
  3. Why do you say that? You must have a reason for saying that! :008: :004:
  4. He kicked a water bottle at one of the County ball boys I think.
  5. Such as?
  6. You don't go to away games then I take it? What? :017: Yet I know for a fact that some of these 'disgraceful' mainstanders while will be in Dundee this weekend at the game. Scotty - I agree with a lot of what you say I think it's a bit sad that some ICT fans criticise others for their 'attitude' at games but would rather go and see County get relegated instead of come to an Away game where the atmosphere has been as good as any away game we have had. A perfect chance for them to test out their lungs. As for the Dunfermline test I hope it goes well. I don't think the noise will carry well because of the location but that is merely an observation not a criticism. Ideally a place in the North Stand could be looked at but this would mean dislodging ST holders and I can't see that happening. Incidentally Scotty - have you ever encountered that tool from P & B Bhoys67 at a Toronto game? You're a part timer anyway so it makes no difference to you :016:
  7. West Ham will be happy enough with that I would guess. A points deduction and relegation would cost them far more.
  8. Who do you suggest we get in to replace him?
  9. See - you have a reason for not going to the ICT game. Perhaps the people who don't sing have a reason for not getting behind the team. You quite rightly state that exams are more important than the football. Perhaps the same thinking applies to those who don't sing at the game - there are more important things worth worrying about than shouting loudly for 90 minutes.
  10. Charlie couldn't even get his first name right at the press conference when they signed him! :015:
  11. As disgraceful as ICT fans going to watch a County game instead of an ICT game?
  12. Up until last season I would have said Livi.
  13. *North Tonight Story*
  14. I'm getting a lift down - Pete is going to frumple with a Dundee lass for the weekend :015: - but getting the bus back up North (East).
  15. Hooray! :001: County? Our biggest rivals? :015: :015: :015:
  16. It was excellent. Richardson with his Italian papers and 6 cakes residing in a café :015:
  17. When will you be in? I'll get in around 1.
  18. Yessum :011:
  19. :015:
  20. It took a little while to get used to but it was all right in the end. You coming down by bus or train then?
  21. From my time watching him in Serie A I think he is class though somewhat ball greedy. I mind James Richardson telling viewers that he passes to Bierhoff once in every 9 chances he had a chance to :015:
  22. The Dundee SC on Thistle Street.
  23. Last time I was down in Dundee then went up that hill I was assaulted by a huge St. Bernards dog at a set of traffic lights. I've never seen a dog so big!
  24. Deffo the same one and wasy to get to from Seagte. Shame about that beasting hill you need to climb! :007:
  25. It would be excellent if a SS was in a covered part of the stand or somewhere in the North Stand but ST holders cannot be inconvenienced at this stage so this is the best option open to folk just now :003:
