In fairness the stand side linesman was a joke. From the North Stand I could see that Hibs were flagged offside incorrectly at least twice and Bayne was pulled up after coming in from behind 2 Hibs players to collect a knock on.

I think you are being unfair on the Hibs keeper. He was landed in it for the 1st goal by some atrocious defending. The 2nd goal he had no chance and there was no way anyone was getting to Wilsons shot. I had said before the game that Hibs had tightened up defensively but it looked like the polar opposite to the defence we saw snuff out ICT at Easter Rd. a few months ago. Higgins was by far and away a worse keeper than MacNeil.

That used to be the case bit since Collins has come in he has has tightened up the defence considerably. They are a lot harder to break down. Bayne v Jones will be interesting.

That doesn't mean the keeper should be garbage by default. He should be worthy of challenging the number one at the club. If we signed Samson I'd rather have Stuart Garden in goals.

I had typed out a better post than this but it got lost in one of many brain farts so I'll need to see what I can remember :007: Playing for ICT regularly will have done more for his international career than sitting on the bench at Celtic. Playing well on a regular basis as Broonie has done should be rewarded with a call up. Not for signing fro Rangers or Celtic and testing their first choice keeper. He might not even get a regular slot at Celtic. A lot of people are saying that Boruc might be away. What if he doesn't move after all the hype? I would imagine that the next Scotland squad will be interesting. If Brown does get picked simply for having signed for the one of the Old Filth then it will only confirm what people have suspected - sign on as an OF reserve and you are guaranteed international honours. A laughable suggestion. Dida is rubbish. Consistently inconsistent and prone to mistakes.

The fact that Black is nowhere near as good as Keane and Viera is irrelevant. Both those players have careers littered with sendings off and countless yellow cards and while they might have earned respect for their skill there was/is little respect for their temperament on the pitch. That's just who they are though. Battling midfielders and without their "attitude" they would be nowhere near the players they were/are. Black is the same in my opinion. He might need a bit of taming but he definitely does not need stiffling.
