To be honest I don't really care what CC says at the minute as I am much more bothered about what is going on on the pitch on a Saturday/Sunday/Monday and right now we are playing some **** good stuff and have been very unlucky in games against 4 teams who make up the top 5 in Scotland right now. We just need our guys to finish off the odd chance and we will be fine and challenging for 2nd spot or whatever it is all the moaning folk seem to want from ICT this season :006:

ICT V HEARTS - matchday thread
Clearly some people are finding it hard to be pleased by anything ICT do at the minute. We created numerous chances and our midfield was superb linking defence with attack as good as I have seen from us this season. Yes we didn't score goals which is disappointing but we created many good chances and soon the goals will come - just a bit of bad luck saw us miss out e.g. Wilsons shot bringing a fine save from an excellent keeper, the header from Blackie off the bar and Dargos great run and shot. Fair enough to ask where are the goals going to come from but to criticise the midfield is somewhat harsh. They are the ones creating the chances - surely the strikers should do most of the scoring? That said they were up against a top class keeper yesterday and I'd be more worried if we weren't creating anything but we did a grand job of keeping Hearts on the back foot for long periods I felt. McBain seems to be getting some stick on here and not really sure why. He was solid if unspectacular. he did the job he had to, his passing was good, he helped out the defence and got forward to support the attack whenever possible. Maybe some would like to see him score a hat trick before he gets pass marks next week? Agree with HCs ratings though actually give Duncan :003: :003: :003: :003: as I thought while he started the game looking a bit lax he came onto a good game in the end and ct out a number of Hearts attacks. Wilson might not have pace but he can whip in an excellent ball - note the difference in his corners and Rankins? They were much better.

Barry Wilson and Craig Dargo gave it a good go today. Dargo was excellent and he gave Pressley and Berra a torrid time. He nearly scored a wonder goal as well today from a quick counter attack. I would like it if we scored 7 next week myself but a 1 - 0 win would do me :004:

Richie Hart willing to go on loan?
Then you are an utter fool blinded by what can only be some sort of personal feud with Bayne. Get a grip. As for Hart I would be sad to see him leave. He came on today and played well for the time he was won but our midfield is strong and we have a few good players performing well at the minute. He might just ned to bide his time for now...

ICT V HEARTS - matchday thread
Long ball game worked well today? :015: We barely played long ball today and it was a delight to see us get the ball down and pass it - and look how good a performance we got. Brown kicking the ball out can hardly be classed as playing a long ball game! Hearts had some chances but ours were better and we had more of them. It's a shame we couldn't put them away but hopefully that can be put right against Motherwell next weekend. I think if we play like we did today we will destroy Motherwell. I was left feeling a bit down that we never got the 3 points but very, very impressed with the performance. No one had a bad game - though Duncans passing was iffy in the 1st half - he was much better in the 2nd and worked his socks off. Black must have covered every inch of grass today. Dargo looked sharp up front and can't believe he was taken off as we tried to press for the win. Wyness had a few neat touches as well, the rest of the midfield worked well and Wilson put in another excellent shift I thought. At the back we looked solid. For long periods of time we never looked like giving anything away with Dods and Munro again excellent at the back. Hearts are dreadful and their diving was getting right on my tits. Especially that number 16 and 27. Pair of planks. Brines was sometimes taken in but other times he was spot on in telling them to get up but he should have booked them. So overall - no complaints at all (shocking eh? :015:) - well done to ICT just a shame we never got that vital goal. Pish weather but cracking macaroni pie. Just the thing to nurse the hangover :007: For next week - same team and same tactics please :003:

Parkhead tomorrow...
Not being naive at all and I know why most do it but the truth is there is little we can do about it otherwise waving a flag or banner will be banned at grounds. The singing on the other hand though...
-
Parkhead tomorrow...
Waving flags isn't sectarian. Falkirk fans wave a T & T teatowel for Latapy. It's what they sign that is the issue. I hope they do sing some sectarian mince and get hammered for it. Strange that my emails to UEFA and the SPL have gone unanswered on the times that certain songs have been very audible by Rangers/Celtic fans :006:

Ask the Chairman
I am thinking of Q's. How has the response been so far?

Parkhead tomorrow...
In fairness there isn't really anything wrong with waving Irish flags. What they might sing during the game is another matter...

Hibs vs ICT
I honestly cannot believe we lost that. We had some cracking chances in that game today and I can't understand how we never scored. I haven't seen the stats but I felt we more than matched Hibs who seemed content to play lovely passes about the place for most of the game. They displayed a real cutting edge at getting the ball into the box through neat interchanges but never threatened too much. Broonie had a great save in the first half. Zibi who is normally utter guff actually pulled off a wonder save to deny Dargo and then Bayne. Given his recent poor performances against us you can see how much that save meant to him. Whittaker went on an amazing run that would have seen him score a wonder had it not gone past the post. In the 2nd half we still had good chances mostly from breaking up Hibs attacks. I thought Wilson was instrumental in most of our attacks like he was against Aberdeen. McBain had a guilt edged chance and for the first time in his entire career decided to use his right foot for something which meant an easy save for the Hibs keeper. We also were getting some success down the right as well with a few breaks into the box putting us close but the final ball was just lacking. Hibs took the lead with a good goal from Fletcher who fired across goal past Brown. Gutted as we had come so close ourselves only minutes before. After this we seemed to lose it a bit and went back to long ball *sigh* and Hibs were content to pass it about for most of the game after that. Not sure about the penalty as it was at the other end of the ground but given that it was Killen who went down and based on the 1st half when he wasn't shy to go to ground I do wonder if perhaps he made the most of any contact. He put it away well though. McSwegan nearly scored an absolute beaut when he came on which would have made up for things somewhat! Referee appeared rather biased towards Hibs. I can't think of any 50 - 50 decision that went our way although given what Dargo did to their keeper I think we got one there for sure! I wonder if Malkowski said something to provoke a reaction like that? To be honest - Dargo should have walked. In honesty though the Ref didn't lose us the game - our inability to finish off our chances did that for us. Such a shame as, like the Hearts game, I don't think the final score was a true reflection on proceedings. Finally I thought we had a great support down today. Really vocal and got behind the team well. How sad then that only 3 players bothered to applaud the Away fans at the game. Well done to Bayne, McSwegan and ? (I can't mind but there was another! Think it was Munro).

Hibs v ICT Official site report
I actually thought Hastings did fine. Certainly handled Sproule well. Perhaps a new right back might be an idea though.

The Constant Hooking of Dargo
Some people back from the game quick to form your opinions of players performances and our style today... We actually played more passing football than ever before and perhaps Dargo was lucky to even be on the pitch at all. Perhaps that's why he was subbed?

Ticket Info For Hibs (11/10/06)
Two things here 1) Hibs did allow Away fans in for Students today. 2) Seems Hibs along with Dunfermline are two teams (and there are others) who offer Student prices to Home fans only.

Ticket Info For Hibs (11/10/06)
Not seen a thread on this but here we go. AFAIK these are the prices: Adults £20 Concessions (U-18s, Over 65s and Students) £10 Students can purchase a ticket from the ticket office on production of a valid matriculation card.

Celtic v ICT ticket prices...
I totally agree. I have been saying for ages that our prices are disgusting particularly the ones for kids but it seems to be replicated at grounds all over Scotland sadly. IMO there should be a cap at £20 for Adults and no more than a tenner for kids. Right now though fans are being priced out of a lot of games and going to Parkhead is one game I refuse to go to. Now that I've said that I bet we win! :015:
-
Paterson to raid ICT for players ?
Correct but the bigger difference is that Rory is already there.
-
Paterson to raid ICT for players ?
Disagree. Rory has generally been the one to come towards the end of games and not McSwegan which would suggest the opposite.

Sandy - while our performances may have been mediocre surely even you can say that the position we find ourselves in deserves some form of praise?
