  1. He seems to have completely disappeared off the face of the earth. Is he injured just now? Some rumours going around that we're trying to get him to leave but we can't agree a deal to terminate his contract.
  2. Dull, dull game. Looked like we had a good claim for a penalty in the second half but we created precious little for most of the game in keeping with the last few weeks sadly. Whilst we look much more solid ta the back and won't concede often we are not scoring many goals at all. Bell and Baird are our best combination up front but unless we can try and play balls in behind the last man or over the top for them to chase we see to struggle to create many openings for them. Too often crosses were floated high into the air for them to challenge for rather than fizzing a low ball across the goal. Given that they were dwarfed by the Queens defenders those high balls almost never led to anything. Oakley is a useful option off the bench but I don't see any of these guys getting the goals regularly enough to really fire us towards the top of the table. On the plus side Donaldson and Mckay kept things very tight at the back and Raven along with Tremarco offered decent support down the flanks. Vigurs took a long time to come into the game with a number of slack passes in the first half and a seeming reluctance to rectify his errors by winning the ball back. Supporters bar was really good, very warm and friendly atmosphere. No pies by half time though which was ridiculous and they didn't even have steak pies which should see them docked points

    David Raven

This is exactly the kind of response the club will have been hoping to see from more fans. "Can't blame us at least we tried". Fact is that Raven has been treated pretty shoddily by the club for a long time now and to offer him a contract knowing full well it wasn't even close to what he was looking for is another insult as far as I'm concerned, a piece meal offering. They'd have been as well not offering him anything and just letting him go in January.
  4. It's a resource issue to get the highlights up and whether it's just goals or some more highlights. I'm sure there would be plenty of willing volunteers to help out but no requests for assistance seem to go out.

McAllister has zero interest in going full time. He is quite happy playing part time with Peterhead and doing his plumbing gig. As for Raven it's a very bad move losing him. I know money is a big issue but part of our good form was down to his return to the side and now we are losing him just as we go on a decent wee run. Getting rid of some of the other dross in the squad to keep Raven would be my preference. Sadly though there was no chance he was going to stay and take something like a 50% salary cut. Rumours are he will be off to Dundee United.
  6. Found a bit of time to update this for the last season or two. Quite a worrying drop off in average crowd this season compared to the last time we were in this division. There's obviously a fair bit of the season to go but a drop of 1,000 from our average crowd compared to the last time we were relegated might set some alarm bells ringing financially. Note this is just for league games. Switched the colour schemes around - yellow is Division 3/SFL2, green is Division 2/SFL1, red is Division 1/Championship and blue is SPL/Premiership.
  7. Bumping this as Robbo has said that the club will be losing 2 - 3 players in January. I'd imagine these would be Raven, Eldson and Susan. Hopefully it doesn't include Donaldson as, despite having much the same reaction as Renegade above when he signed, he has shown himself to be a pretty decent defender and I hope he can stay with us a bit longer.
  8. Article in the Courier discussing this topic: http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/News/ICT-shareholders-claim-future-of-club-in-jeopardy-28112017.htm
  9. Well no obviously not and that isn't what I've said anyway so I don't know how you've come to that bizarre conclusion.
  10. Well you are unlikely to get an answer to these kinds of questions on here. Certainly not speedily anyway. Go straight to the source and you might have more luck and get an accurate answer rather than someone saying "I heard it was this..."
  11. You could always ask the club? If they do another fans night head along and ask them there or write to the Chairman.
  12. Clearly the SFA think a lot of McKendrick. He's been sent down to League 2 this coming weekend. That said he will somehow act as the 4th official in the Rangers v Aberdeen game tomorrow night. I suspect that geographical reasons rather than ability might be the reason for this.
  13. According to Brechin the pitch has passed a pitch inspection though one could be called later if the weather deteriorates.
  14. A concerning post from DD and one that makes me wish that any meeting could be available for viewing on something like Skype for those of us non local fans.
  15. I am lost for words that Samson was never sent off. It's possibly the most blatant red card offence you could ever see. The laws of the game are clear, under violent conduct (http://www.the-afc.com/uploads/afc/files/IFAB-laws-of-the-game-2017-2018.pdf Page 104): Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made. In addition, a player who, when not challenging for the ball, deliberately strikes an opponent or any other person on the head or face with the hand or arm, is guilty of violent conduct unless the force used was negligible. The highlighted text clearly shows why Samson should have been sent off. How McKendrick did not do so is completely unfathomable.
  16. For future polls can we replace the terrible option with John McKendrick?
  17. I'm (not) ashamed to say my head was completely gone by the end of the game.
  18. I didn't really see much wrong with what Vigurs did. Plenty of players have a wee go at opponents who they fell have gone to ground pretty easily much like the Saints defender did today in the second half. If players are going to start getting carded for having a go at each verbally then we're going to be playing 7 v 8 before long. Whilst it's fair to say we definitely lost our heads today on this occasion I definitely fall down on the players side because some of those decisions today were absolutely mind boggling. Vigurs gets kicked, pushed and then shoved again by Smith in the first half and ends up getting booked somehow. Tremarco executes a perfect sliding tackle in the second half making no contact with the Saints player who throws himself to the ground and Tremarco is penalised. I don't believe that referees are biased but I do believe that some are not good enough and based on today McKendrick is barely good enough to be officiating amateur Sunday league games. ETA: I'm starting to worry that Warren is heading the same way as Munro in his final season at County where he fell away rapidly over the course of just a few months before he was eventually sent packing. I love Warren but as soon as he comes up against someone with any kind of pace whatsoever he falls apart.
  19. Some absolute heads gone stuff from Inverness fans at full time, myself included, at the performance of that referee and fully justified too. Quite possibly the worst performance from an official I have ever seen at TCS in years. How Smith and Samson stayed on the pitch after flattening Vigurs on two separate occasions is beyond me. I'm not a fan of saying we lost a game because of an official but after what I saw this afternoon its very hard not to state exactly that.

    St Mirren match

Is it not fair to say that ever since the USH went in our drainage has been poorer as a result?
  21. I'm going to start a petition for a retractable roof at TCS.
  22. Sadly some of us were already motoring towards Inverness by the time the news came through Really frustrating especially given that there is/was a game going on a few miles up the road at the GES. Do County have a better drainage system than we do? ETA: I had the joy of hanging around Kinross Park and Ride for an hour or so waiting for a return bus to Edinburgh. Here are some photos from this memorable afternoon.
  23. Probably both. As said above Hughes was whoring him out in pretty much every interview and when Celtic came in with a day or so before the window closed we were somewhat backed into a corner with little negotiating room. Hopefully Cameron, Hughes or whoever it was who dealt with the transfer included some kind of add ons like the international call up but I doubt it.
  24. Josh Meekings likes this.
  25. The 4th round will be on the 20/21 January 2018.
