Nick Ross was at Storehouse yesterday. Obviously back at the weekend to sign a new deal with ICT today.

That 03/04 team was one of the best, if not the best, ICT side I've ever had the pleasure of watching. They would have destroyed this season mess with ease.
  3. Agree. Coverage of the Superbowl was weird but I'd say it's balanced out by some of the comedy football tweets (The Meekings cracking save Tweet for example) which gathered a lot of attention for the club. Shame but hopefully the other guys can step in and pick things up.
  4. It seems that one of the main tweeters has left their post. Shame no one else was able to step in. I'm in no way having a go at the club about this but given how important social media is these days I was surprised not to see any activity on the ICT account about the competition. Some of the stuff has been a bit cringe over the years but for the most part it's a good account to follow and the club has become quite well known for it. Shame if things do go a bit quieter on this front in the future.
  5. Why wasn't the club tweeting about the draw? Has something happened to the media team that we aren't being told about?

I think it's quite interesting that the folk who are, at least on Twitter anyway, disgusted that Foran was canned are the same ones celebrating Cameron leaving the club. Seems like they can't see the link between the two...
  7. Was Laing really that good? I just thought he was okay. Had some good games but as ICTChris has pointed out in another thread he was also in the side for some of the utter pumpings and shambolic performances we witnessed.

An interesting read on Stevie Aitken at Dumbarton and whether he might be a good fit for ICT. http://auchterarderchippy.com/2017/06/02/stretching-a-shoestring-does-stevie-aitken-deserve-a-shot-at-a-full-time-club/
  9. Sad to read that but I find myself in a similar boat. As Hislop notes the prices dropped by around £100 when we were relegated last time. To have no reduction at all this time round is really quite surprising. I'd imagine walk up prices will remain largely the same next season. You need only look at the crowd that was there for the Hamilton game a few weeks before the end of the season to see just how much attendances at the ground have fallen in the last wee while. There couldn't have been 2,000 people there that day and if the club continues to charge Premiership level prices for ST and match day tickets I'd expect more crowds like the one we got against Hamilton throughout 17/18.

We did win seven corners though. Not many teams can say they did that against Celtic (!)

    Kenny Cameron was CaleyD.

^^^ perfect example of how easy it is to get anything into the papers as a rumour.

http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/spfl/15320523.Stevie_Aitken_focused_on_Dumbarton_amid_Inverness_link/ Can't imagine there is much in this? I'd be surprised if we were able to pay compensation to get someone in.
  16. So the club appear to have confirmed that Meekings is away despite the player seemingly being unaware of this yesterday. What the hell is going on!?

I think that would place something of an administrative burden on the club unless it could be managed online through the e ticketing system? Log in, select and save your seat or a seat by a certain time and then when it comes to match day it's not available for general sale? I mentioned it a few months back but Aberdeen were selling tickets for games where you saved money if you bought them weeks in advance (again a bit like bagging a cheap train ticket). So if you say buy a ticket for the next home game in two weeks time you save £5 on the walk up price. Obviously that's just an arbitrary figure as you would need to be careful that buying 'advance' match tickets didn't undercut your season ticket holders but it could be something else to try out. And like the advance train tickets if you buy one at the discounted rate you don't get a refund if you can't make it.
  18. It's pretty basic but here are how our prices compare against others in the Championship. There are a number of caveats to this mainly that I just went for whatever clubs termed Adults and Concessions. Other categories like U16s or U12s I didn't bother with and some clubs separate out students from Concessions. It would have gotten quite messy to have so many categories so I stuck with just the 'main' two'. Also, these are the cheapest tickets available to purchase so these are likely to be for stands or areas behind the goals. No family package offers are included either. Main point is that ICT have easily the most expensive tickets in the league. Maybe not surprising but compared to clubs like Falkirk who probably boast much better stadia and facilities I can't help but think some of our fans will be left wondering why there hasn't been at least a few quid taken off the prices. ETA: The Falkirk prices are wrong. Should be about £20 - £25 higher. Those are last years prices.

Agree with this idea however, depending on how it is implemented, it potentially means taking a seat out of use for an entire season just in case someone decides to show up every now and then. The club won't know if they can sell it on the off chance there is a high demand for tickets. I guess the obvious thing to do, and I'm sure you would have said this anyway, is to offer these tickets without the guarantee of a particular seat and you just take whatever is available on the day? A bit like the super cheap advance tickets on the Scotrail trains.

Most of this is already in place in some shape or form to be fair.
  21. If it's a Scott Burns article he is normally pretty reliable. Not always right of course.
  22. So maybe Meekings isn't away just yet then
  23. RiG replied to brianm6261's topic in Caley Thistle
I used to go with a group of guys regularly. There were typically two rows of about five or six of us. Now I'm pretty much the only one who still regularly goes to home games. Obviously life gets in the way what with marriages, mortgages, kids etc but I generally agree with Renegade there. That's about 8 or 9 fans who have just stopped going to games now.
  24. I'm taking it to mean anyone out of contract, on loan until the end of the season etc. has been let go.
  25. Looks like Fisher is away...
