Season Ticket Sales
Not surprising really. I have sponsored players for the last six seasons but this season it is time to cut back a little for a number of reasons. Many people will also have to make similar decisions and I suspect more will be pay at the gate or make advance ticket purchases for specific games as that seems to make the most sense for many in the current climate. Now having said that If the football on show is free flowing and high scoring then good attendances will result. Would be interested to see the stats for total attendance, average attendance and total full season tickets over the last 10 seasons to see how they compare.

Russell Knox
Scored a record equalling 59 yesterday in the 2nd round of the Boise Open in the US. Great round and he speaks with a slightly more American drawl when interviewed by US commentator ;-) Well done - hopefully goes well in the next two days and the rest of the season.

Torbjorn Agdestein
A lot closer than he probably realises. Considering the historical (and geographical) links between Scotland and Norway I have always been surprised that we have not seen more players from there playing in the SPL over the years. Didn't even mad Eric try to create some modern day Northen Alliance between Scotland and Norway a few years ago in his quest for world domination. Maybe he will turn out to be our 'maid of Norway' just hope he fairs a little better in the long run. If it actually materialises this could be a sound bit of business and you never know we might get a few more visitors from across the water both on and off the park.

Torbjorn Agdestein
If true hope he is along the lines of a Tore Andre or a Jan Aga. Seemingly called 'Toby' but Tor Bjorn has a better ring and as Tor means goal in German that's a good start ;-)

Why not - it gives you hope Joanna ;-)

Not a good result for rhem tonight. They could give Hearts a run for their money this coming season.

Graham Bayne scored the winner in Arbroath's 1-0 win over Partick Thistle. Nice to see he is still scoring goals after the injury problems he has had. I also didn't realise that he had played two games for Wick last season and scored on his debut.

Clach Friendly
Unless they win the league and play off and Sneck has another SPFL side! Now that I would like to see - an Inverness side making it to the Scottish leagues on their own terms ;-))))

Clach Friendly
I thought that both the centre half partnerships that were used looked ok. Christie and Polworth both kept going and will no doubt feature at some point in the new season. Christies goal was well executed showing good control and awareness to end off a good move. Also thought that Ali Sutherland showed some nice touches and movement when he came on. The most pleasing is that there appears to be a bit of depth in the youth element of the squad and my only concern is that a few of them need to bulk up a bit more to be able to compete in the SPL but I am sure that will come. For Clach I thought Martin Laing had a good game. He covered a lot of ground and was always trying to create things. Overall Clach looked a fairly decent side who tried to play passing football until they just ran out of steam in the last 15 minutes or so. It's been quite a while since I have been inside GSP and it is a tidy little ground now (always was a decent pitch though). Here's hoping they have a decent season in 2013/14 and continue to grow as it is good for Inverness football to have a strong Highland League side.

Confidence Levels for 2013/14 Season?
If we can keep the bulk of the first team free from injuries then fairly confident we will have another decent season. May be difficult to surpass last season's league finish but you never know might be offset by a cup final appearance this time around.

it's just not
One of my least favourite sports (I think that was partly due to the BBC coverage of the cricket as an alternative to a test card in the 70s) but I have been to a number of test matches over the years. Can't actually say that I have not enjoyed any of them and at the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne a few years ago I can still actually remember that I watched some cricket although as it was the first phase of a stag party it was never going to a boring day. Cricket though is not a major sport in Scotland but I completely understand why people brought up with it love it so much. Living in Qatar I see a lot of workers from the countries listed in Kirishima's post above who make up the majority of the countries workforce use their Friday mornings, afternoons and evenings in any available space (disused carparks, wasteland etc) playing cricket and then they are back to work the next day. Where I always go for a haircut is run by a Bangladeshi crew and they always want to talk about cricket and if I try to turn the conversation to football they never seem that interested and get it back to cricket. The way I see it is when I was a kid all I wanted to do was play football and talk football and for many billions around the world (Laurence included) they have the same love of cricket. Oh and by the way what the young Aussie kid did was a bit special - only hoped he had got a few more ;-)) you never know he has been moved up the batting order today so maybe lighting might strike twice but it is a tough one to follow. Still won't be watching it though ;-))))

League Cup - Inverness get bye to last 16?
The assured money for at least a last 16 spot will help though ;-) ....and one game less in a long season - who knows we may even make a final this year :-)

Ben Greenhalgh - Football's Next Star
Once many years ago spent a few weeks preparing a technical report and checked it over many times before we issued it to the client Hampshire County Council. Not until after it was sent to them did we notice it said 'Hampshite Sewage Sludge Strategy' on the cover page. Quite apt really given the content. Fortunately we had only prepared 20 copies ;-)))) Anyway first reports are the boy can actually play a bit and that is all that matters really.

Could Hearts FC be Relegated?
A SFA hearing now scheduled for mid July. Not sure that it will bring much more than a slap on the hand but it must be pretty worrying times if you are a Hearts fan. Just where is the money going to come from to keep them operating?
