Booking Fee at ICT
its a global thing ..... get it here too for any concerts we go to see ... even though most of them now even let you print your own tickets, or even download tickets to a smartphone..... Even when I buy my Toronto season tickets there is a fee right there on the invoice of about $12 for administration although I do have to say that for this one it seems worth it .... for TFC tickets I have access to an "account manager" page which lets me print, forward, download or even sell my tickets for each game......

disappointed that it seems to be the player who made the final choice. Thought all indications were that he was enjoying it at ICT. anyroads, he was a loan player, so we knew he was likely to go, so thanks for all you did, best of luck in your future games, and see you later ...... onwards and upwards !

Well it should be a (satirical) blog really ... but Vlad has made another statement on the official Hearts site ...... It makes me thankful we have Kenny C at the helm ....... http://www.heartsfc.co.uk/articles/20120105/vladimir-romanov-statement_2241384_2567380

Well it was 100% for not letting Admin win, then for each match related post we deduct 10% so I make that a 100% reduction, and of course I gave him a 20% credit so he's now on a -20% warning ..... should be back to zero by the end of the week

Our terms of service dont make use of IQ levels as a membership factor so if "the idiots amongst us" (your words, not mine), want to follow through then so be it .... not our problem, not our fault, and we are not going to stifle this or any other decent discussion that comes along on the basis that it might cause stupid people to do stupid things !!!! I happen to think most of our fans are relatively intelligent -- they do follow ICT instead of other teams after all - but if the people you are labelling with that brush are truly idiots then the eloquence of their complaint will surely see them get short shrift from the beaks ! For my own part, I am not going to be writing any letters, I am way too busy for that .... but I do hope the compliance folk look at it, and I would actually agree that the best course of action is for the club and the player to make a complaint if they want to ....... or for us all to let it go if they think its a storm in a teacup.

How is writing a letter 'mob rule'? and how exactly is CaleyD encouraging it by simply stating whats in the guidelines? You are correct, this site does not allow 'mob rule', it says that right in our terms .... However, we DO allow users to use the facility we have in place to make a complaint, which we then consider .... which - in terms of the compliance officer/committee - is what CaleyD is drawing attention to and which is more closely comparable to the letter writing scenario. You also conveniently forget to include the part where CaleyD mentions he would try to find out if the club had complained .... If you are going to try and denigrate the admin or moderators please at least be truthful and straightforward about it and call us out when we do actually say (or do) something wrong rather than twisting words or making assumptions or deductions that are not actually there. Otherwise, please dont let the door hit you on the way out .....

Dunfermline trouble (Racist issues?)
Seems wrong to me !!!! back in the day, when we were with rivals.net, their lawyers explicitly told us that we had "a duty of care" regarding what was posted on our site. We were not responsible for the actual content, that is always the user, but as the providers of the conduit that allowed those opinions to be published, we were responsible for removing anything that crossed the line in terms of racism or various other '-ism's that might cause offence or be deemed unlawful...... otherwise we could be in legal bother. seems that both Twitter (and Facebook from what I can tell) do not have clearly defined policies on bigotry, racism, homophobia, or other undesirable and neanderthal behaviours, and basically look the other way unless of course it gains some traction and publicity ..... quite topical given the fact there have been a few arrests in Scotland already due to social media postings and of course the player-player racism incidents in England that have been in the press over the last few weeks. I just find it incredulous that in 21st century society, two of the biggest platforms for social interaction out there have nothing in place to quickly and effectively deal with this .....

Dunfermline trouble (Racist issues?)
Yup. Just read through the whole TOS and Rules and no mention of racism whatsoever !!! Just vague references to following local laws. ...posted via iPhone...

Dunfermline trouble (Racist issues?)
So racism doesn't break Twitter rules. That's interesting and definitely worth retweeting ... Going by their own rules, it's not against their policy to do so !!! ...posted via iPhone...

St Johnstone Game
nail on the head with your first two words ... "nice gesture". Bottom line is that is exactly what it is ... a gesture. The club are not obliged to do anything as the postponement was weather related so anything they do in fact offer is a goodwill gesture with the cost coming straight out of the club's pocket. Our current chairman regularly reads these boards, and has done for years so he will have seen and acted upon the collective comments made about travel, costs and such like for both sets of fans as well as comments that came directly into the club no doubt. He didnt have to do it, but knowing that he is fan-focused, it does not surprise me that he did corral the other board members and act quickly. The club will never satisfy every scenario, and if you have a season ticket, then this is one of the occasions where you may be on the losing end .... it happens ... and its happened for years where matches get moved for TV, or where gate prices get reduced for end of season games or all manner of other things ... and to play devil's advocate for a minute, it has to be said that when most season book holders buy their ticket in Jun/Jul most cannot say that they will make it to each and every match, or that each and every match will take place on the day printed on the fixture list .... but over the course of a season a STH will still make a saving over the cost of buying a ticket to each match at full cost ........ its the nature of the beast. I understand the frustration, it happened to me at ICT in the past, (and it happened to me at Toronto FC twice during this past season where games were abandoned due to weather and rescheduled ... in one case for months later and the other time it was played the morning after the abandonment at 10AM on a work day with a crowd of 500 instead of 20,000), but at the end of the day, its a business, and by the club reducing prices they are also cutting their gate in half (at least) so as a gesture, its a pretty substantial one for a club thats got little money !!!

Well Done Marc
Kudos to young Marc Hurst for donating his prized ICT possessions to the Raigmore Children's Ward appeal .... Marc, as many of you will know is the son of "Mrs Jnr" (nee 'cutecaleychick') and stepson of Gringo Jnr on these very boards and like his stepdad (and the rest of us) very proud of his ICT gear .... Must have been a big wrench to give it away, but he managed to raise a very commendable £225 for the cause. Well done Marc ! Full Story in the Courier

Roman staying in the Gloamin
Yup, that about sums it up for me too .... almost posted about a month ago that he should GTF !!! But his performances since then would have seen me getting served up a huge portion of humble pie, alongside many other fans ! Perhaps its a case of settling in and getting used to the SPL, perhaps its the coaching, perhaps its a combination, but the last few weeks have certainly seen a good turnaround from RG !

official line from the club ... Although there is no snow at Tulloch Caledonian Stadium, the heavy overnight sleet has left the pitch very wet. Having consulted with Northern Constabulary, the A9 is open but travelling conditions are difficult. We are currently awaiting a pitch inspection from the match referee at 11:15. As soon as the result of the inspection is known, we will update this message.- The upgraded site - positive feedback!
