Airdrie would have escaped relegation for the second season in a row by a team dying, and Albion play them today !!!! cant agree with everything the SFL have done, but demotion to 3rd division is not really a true option as they confirmed they would fulfill fixtures and put up a bond to the SFL to cover problems if it didnt happen. Gretna were only demoted to the 3rd when they confirmed fixtures could not be met. I still think they should have a points deduction, but that might be MY vested interest poking through !!!

I could be wrong, but I dont think the stock for sale and the kit supplied to the team are dealt with the same way by Errea ............. However, I do agree that the risk could be minimised by the use of clever promotion (or any promotion), special offers, PR and such like

I think we are all pretty much agreeing on this one without anyone getting shot down - the club should stock them, and we dont know why they dont given the perceived demand that might be there.

I can see both sides on this. I think the question has been asked often enough - about Goalie Tops and Training Tops - that it must be worth the effort of exploring the costs and potential profit of making that stock available. It will either be viable or it will not. We know that some fans want these so we know there will be some sales ..... The one thing we dont know, is whether there might be enough of a market to make it viable. Errea (like most suppliers) have a minimum order quantity for their stock and I would guess that none of us know what level that min order is set at !!! Perhaps it is higher than the club are comfortable with for items like this and they think they may be left with 'dead stock' on their hands that eventually has to be sold at cost or less? The club will always manage to shift replica (outfield) kits but there is a smaller niche market for goalie tops. The club will always be able to shift things like Polo Tops with an ICT logo which can be sold over multiple seasons, but Training tops may change from season to season (or every other season) just like the normal tops so they have a fixed 'shelf life'. It would be nice if the club could clear up why these items are not made available ... As LG says, they may be missing an opportunity .... but equally, they may have explored the idea, and we are missing some facts ....

I have added both players to the squad listing and want to get it right .... so going with the Latvian spelling for now ;)

Based on what folks were saying about Twitter during games so far, it appears they do not have one or have one that is locked down.

I dont recommend posting personal details like email / phone numbers in a public forum .... spammers or scammers enjoy finding either or both !!! We will have our Twitter service for the coming season. We will post links for Radio Scotland / MFR coverage (neither of which are live commentary AFAIK) We will explore the idea of online broadcasting as and when things develop on that front but one thing we cant do, and I definitaly aint doing it from Canada is sending out text messages. I believe the club did have a 3rd party SMS service last season ? not sure if they still provide that but if they dont, sure someone else does.

Although I am also guilty of breaking CaleyD's request in his original post on this thread can I just ask that we (all) stick to the terms of that original post and just post lyrics please. The MFR Idea thread, that has developed into a "which is the best song" for ICT discussion is probably the best place to talk about songs in general so that we can keep this thread tidy. thanks for your co-operation :huh:

I know we have at least one, if not more, members of this site who belong to a band so perhaps we could get an original song written by a fan who has talent in that field ??? Alternatively - how about doing something like one of the Toronto FC supporters groups did ? One of the posters on the U-Sector board I frequent knows Alan Frew, the lead singer from Glass Tiger (an 80s band for the young ones on here). One of their hits was a song called "My Town" which was originally recorded featuring Rod Stewart. Alan re-recorded it (at no charge) with some of the lyrics changed so that it became a Toronto FC song. As I am at work, I cant post the youtube link (blocked) but if you search for "my town toronto fc" or something like that you will see it. This song in and of itself might be a decent song to use as it does have a Scottish feel to it (probably because Frew is Scottish and Rod Stewart was featured on the original), but if there are any other "perfect" songs, why not get in touch with the artist or their agent and see if they might be prepared to customise it a bit and do something similar.

thats not just our fans, or website contributors, that is society in general these days ....... If there is no bad news, then there is no news at all. Fortunately (for the papers and TV companies at least) there never seems to be any shortage of bad news going around so there is always something to bitch, moan and gripe at. I didnt say we were **** after the Montrose game, and I am not going to say we are great after this game .... it is way too early to tell, although, as an eternal optimist, I am looking forward to this season - especially if we get pen to paper with Sanchez and Bulvitus. I know we face Annan this weekend, and the result of that one is not going to phase me either .... as far as I am concerned, there is only one thing that matters this season and that is how we do in the league so my praise or bitching and moaning will start in earnest with the Dumbfarmlife game.
