GJ: .... Hey mon capitan, can I go to the bathroom ? GM: .... but of course mon ami, it is only County we are playing ... its just up there to the right ..... GJ: .... Do they have deodorant in there ? GM: .... Its not you pal, we're in Dingwall now, it always smells like this !!!
  3. pretty much I think the sluggish starts were more of an issue when Paterson was at the club - we were indeed notorious for them at that time ... but the good thing was, once we got going, we were like Vinnie Jones as Juggernaut in X-Men :crazy07:
  4. Havent got the stats all loaded up yet but 2006/07 - first six fixtures LDDDLW (loss to St Mirren, Hearts, Drew Aberdeen, Hibs, Celtic. beat Motherwell.) 2005/06 - first six fixtures WLWDDL (loss to Rangers, Motherwell, beat Falkirk, Pars. Drew Killie, DUFC). 2004/05 - first six fixtures LWLLLL (first SPL season) losses to Livi, Celtic, DUFC, Hibs, Rangers. Win V Pars).
  5. ok Kingsmills - thanks for clearing that up. as i said, I couldnt find anything online to back up that suggestion so wasnt sure .... however - I still havent heard anyone say it has been denied and we need to appeal, just that its taking a long time .... does anyone know the current status for sure ?
  6. no-one has actually said it has been denied, merely that it was taking longer ? I havent been able to find the documentation to prove this one way or the other, but it has been suggested to me that the international football criteria for Romanian and Bulgarian applications is null and void and that the permit doesnt hinge on this. However, the application may be more complicated (and therefore take longer to process) depending on his contract ...... from what we have heard he has a footballing contract that doesnt break the wage scale and this would suggest that his top-up contract may be coming directly from the Chairman's company. In effect he would have two employers and would need to be granted status for each 'position' ....
  7. sure it wasnt someone else wearing a Bavidge mask ???
  8. almost right ...... Scottish Cup was changed for this season was it not ....... SPL dont enter till round 4 and no more qualifying cups. 9. moving this to NON-ICT as Broonie is an ex player .....
  10. nope - our fixture list is bang up to date .... I actually adjusted it this morning. added the last of pre-season friendly reports to the stats program and noticed 1st round of League Cup showing as TBA so checked the SFA website and realised we dont have a game in 1st round so deleted it from the ICT fixture list :004:
  11. Although I am and always have been a big Bobby fan, I have to admit that the "Big Mann" is in the past and that is where he should stay. He was a great servant to our club, a future "hall of famer" no doubt but he is yesterday's news. The 4 first choice defenders will do for me, and I just hope that Charlie finds a suitable backup (or that one of the youngsters is as promising as Zander is in midfield). On the practical side there is also the 'family' issue. One of the main reasons Bobby did not extend his contract at the end of the championship winning season was his desire to move closer to home spend more time with his family. His wife is a police officer and although she could transfer to Inverness there would be no guarantees that she would be posted in Inverness ... Stornoway or Kirkwall would make it an even harder commute for him !!! Would you have Bavidge back because he scored 2 goals against us in that same game ? no ? me neither.
  12. I remember the subject coming up when we were in the first division and going to St Johnstone ..... do you remember the ripoff there ??? I am a little hazy on this but I seem to remember that the answer in the end was that the SFL issued guidelines to clubs in divisions 3,2, and 1 as to what was expected as a minimum gate price for each league and clubs had to charge at least that but could charge higher prices if they wanted (which St J. did !!!)
  13. Scotty

    Win at county

try reading the other threads and all will be revealed ......
  14. So Giany Joinville will be known as Giant Joinville if Charlie signs him ?
  15. Still in the same place, Scotty, only the one move to Inverness. I'm intrigued by your post and will look out for the mail. did it arrive ? - probably best to PM me rather than take this thread off topic :004:
  16. Scotty

    Win at county

    score ?
  17. they have some leeway, but not much. The SFL and SPL have guidelines they set out for minimum prices and clubs pretty much have to follow them .... thats why you sometimes hear about ticket price rumblings when one club wants to lower prices for cup games or near the end of season ......
  18. Its a non-ict topic, in the correct forum, with a title that pretty much tells you what its about and can therefore be ignored if the subject bores you to tears. no grounds for deletion. if no-one is interested in adding to it, it will slide down the forum page and disappear into the black hole that is topic page 2 in a day or two
  19. NO. Poland joined in 2004, Romania in 2007. basically - its up to the UK whether they want to impose restrictions on migrant workers for the first few years after a country joins the EU. I think the period is 7 years - its all in one of the links above.
  20. moved all off-topic postings to a new thread - please limit this to YouTube videos or we will close/delete the thread.
  21. We have so many midfielders now that could always play with Wyness up front with Barry or Richie in an attacking midfield role behind him ..... stick Zander on the right for Barry.
  22. C100/Strathman ..... I kind of agree with both of you ..... Rory has had plenty of chances in the first team but other than one game against Celtic has not shone too brightly. Is it nerves, is it confidence, is it negative vibes from the crowd ? I dont know. For that reason alone, I can see how C100 and others might write him off. On the other hand, he was highly regarded a season or two ago (by people outwith ICT) and supposed to be the next superstar. Some in the game obviously think he still has the potential otherwise he might not have got called up to the Scotland U20s prior to the World Cup. Ok he didnt make it into the final squad and those that did come over here played terribly, but the fact of the matter is that there are plenty of people who have seen what he can do in training/reserves and regard him highly for that reason. for some reason it just hasnt translated well into the SPL. The solution .... I tend to agree that we should be looking to send him out on loan to a side where he might score goals .... As he is an Aberdeen lad, perhaps Peterhead ? 6 months under Pele's wing and he may come back a better player in the same way that Barry Robson did when he was sent to Forfar .....
  23. I think I know a little bit more about the club's dealings with Errea than the average supporter (although I would concede that I also know far less about it than the club officials). Some of the stuff I have been told over the last few years has been quite annoying, mind boggling or just downright disrespectful to the club and I would sincerely hope that the club are already looking around for a UK supplier for when the contract ends even if it means that both kits have to change next year.
  24. ok - I re-read this thread when I merged big man's topic into it ..... and to emphasise something that seems to be getting missed by a few people (including me I must admit) ...... Presumably, this means that the home shirts are OK despite the late change in sponsorship ?
  25. Did you know that when ICT used Le Coq Sportif as the shirt supplier, special iron-on sponsor logos were produced so that fans could change the badge of the sponsor from Citylink to Scotrail ....... doesnt sound like the club have even considered this as a temporary measure for the team shirts ....... As for Errea, hopefully ICT will lighten their load and they will only be sponsoring 5 teams next season !!!!
