  4. Falkirk and local police are also advising the following: Police are advising members of the public about new parking restrictions in and around Falkirk Stadium. The restrictions include additional double yellow lines at junctions and local streets near the stadium and the introduction of urban clearways on main roads. [attach=1] ‘Urban Clearways’ prohibit vehicles from parking, waiting or stopping on roads that are subject to restrictions. The clearways – enforced at all times - replace the lines of cones previously placed on Laurieston Bypass, Northern Distributor Road, Grangemouth Road and Falkirk Road. Sergeant Jim Allan, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “These new restrictions will not only assist in maintaining public access but also help to promote road safety and prevent indiscriminate and inconsiderate parking. “Where motorists park, wait or stop vehicles in contravention of the restrictions they will be moved, may be issued with fixed penalty tickets, reported to the procurator fiscal and may have their vehicle, if left unattended, removed.”
  5. Simple truth is that if any of the 3 players most frequently mentioned (Dods, Dargo, Brown) decide their future lies elsewhere we will either get peanuts from the buying club to let them go in January or we will get 100% of nothing if they leave when out of contract at the end of the season. would far prefer to see Grassa and Charlie try to pull off a minor miracle and try to keep 1, 2 or even all 3 of them, and Dods would be top of my list despite the early season doubts about him and a move to DUFC.
  6. Yeah, they used to be quite easy to catch with a net in Muirtown Basin.
  7. Tickets are currently on sale to priority groups (Season Ticket Holders, Shareholders, Centenary Club Members, Supporters Club Members and Supporters Trust Members) and will go on general sale on 10th January. (maximum of 4 tickets per person). More info and pricing on the OFFICIAL SITE
  8. According to sources down south, those who don't have tickets for the Falkirk game need not fear. Any unsold tickets will be returned to Falkirk and will be available probably after 2pm on Saturday.
  9. appears to be back up now
  10. still wondering how we got a crowd of 10 over the official capacity of 7512. In fact, wasn't the official capacity reduced further after the last Rangers game (7512 crowd). I believe it was dropped to 7500 as about a dozen seats were removed for TV gantries ???
  11. Didnt manage to catch the Rankin one, but someone managed to get CC's interview for me - on match report page.

    Whinging

I think CC would be the first to admit that there is vast scope for improvement and he has to try to make that happen. On the other hand, the players also have a responsibility for shoddy performances and many [but not all] of them should be looking in the mirror today thinking they could do better. I said yesterday that I didnt think there were any positives during the game and I stand by that. Others may think differently and thats their right and prerogative on a board where there can be many differing opinions. This may make me a whinger, but lets make this clear, I am in no way calling for Charlie's head on a plate. I still think CC can get the job done and am 100% behind him. However, its no fun listening to that **** far less for those of you paying megabucks to be there in person.
  14. Is that the honeydew list ???? Honey do this, honey do that .....
  15. Probably not appropriate due to its connotations with another team but Pete MacKenzie (known to many of you as Calum's brother in law) wrote a full set of alternative lyrics to another well known tune .... can vaguely remember the chorus low lie the fields of Longman Drive where once we watched the I-----C-T play Through the wind and the drizzle, we will follow Caley Thistle at the fortress on the fields of Longman Drive Wolfstone - Battle does it for me - always enjoy that tune, Travis - 'why does it always rain' was another good one that everyone sang when we beat Hearts at Tynie a few years ago ... but the obvious one is Frankie Miller's 'Caledonia' if we can change the lyrics to incorporate 'thistle' as opposed to just 'caledonia'
  16. Unless things have changed, he is NOT picking up a salary. Is he ? says who ? Think most fans are still complimentary about what he has done over the last few years - but agree he may need to work some magic in this window.
  17. completely disagree. we dropped two points against a side who virtually every other set of supporters have claimed to be the worst team in the SPL this season by a mile. By the sound of the commentary, we were not much better (or any better ?) than the Pars and I see absolutely no positives from today's result.
  18. Yes - very boring game - nothing happening.
