  1. Gav - not sure, but you can get it on the web if you are in the UK .... click on LIVE SCORES link and follow the link to SportSound
  2. Fraser seems to have had a baptism of fire, made some cracking stops and is doing well. We have had a few chances too !!!
  3. we have had a few questions - but not as many as I expected - c'mon folks, you have a week left to ask them
  4. Lineups CELTIC [attach=1] ICT [attach=2] [attachment deleted by admin]
  5. overall loss 1.5m .... or 1,500,000 = 7 seven figures :004:
  6. proficiency badge in Text Messaging proficiency badge for being able to use all the controller buttons on a PS2/3 or X-Box
  7. on paper Celtic should beat us so thank feck the game is played on grass ....... Should be 3:1 would be happy with 1:1 delighted with 0:1
  8. I can exclusively reveal that there was also no mention of County's fine victory in the Globe and Mail or Toronto Star :023: .... mind you, with scarcely 3 lines of text a week dedicated to Scottish Football in either paper, they struggle to get more than the words Celtic and Rangers into the coverage. Hopefully Sunday's edition will say "Celtic well beaten by Inverness".
  9. Sandy - I still maintain my stance but I can see your point. However, let me play Devil's advocate here for a moment .... do you know how much coverage the North Star / Ross Shire Journal gave to ICT after any big victories ? They actually gave ICTChris's "County Air" spoof more space - and on the front page - than they did for ICTs victories. I agree that this doesnt make it right, but I guess that the management of the newsgroup think that the main prominence should be given in the most relevant paper and smaller articles appear in the regional 'sister' papers. If you feel so strongly about this, perhaps you should be dropping a line to David Beck or Paul Chalk ???
  10. looking at some of the alternatives assigned to the SPL this weekend, I think we did ok !!
  11. Have to agree, its the INVERNESS Courier not the Dingwall Courier. notice that both the Courier and HN websites now give you the option to read 'regional' news and sport that covers other papers that might have a bigger spread ..... http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/news/ca...rypool.php/id/2
  12. like it or not there is a central belt mentality about Scottish football from both the media and the people in charge of the game. If you are any more than 30-45 minutes outside of Glasgow or Edinburgh then as they see it you are in the middle of nowhere. I actually think Strachan's comments are pretty spot-on ... he displays some knowledge of our team (at least he knows a couple of names even if they were put on a piece of paper for him 10 minutes before he spoke) and condescending or not, he displays more understanding of a major factor behind our team spirit than most other managers in the SPL or the media pundits. I believe him when he says it was similar at Aberdeen in his days there, in some ways it might have been even worse !!!
  13. I am viewing it as a 'one-off', but who knows, if the chairman enjoys the experience perhaps he can be persuaded to do it every so often. I would also like to see the club re-introduce something similar to "Boardroom Banter" on the official site as those articles always elicited a positive response. Perhaps they could do it in conjunction with this site (?) where we supply user questions from the forums (like the old BB articles) and the club provide inside information from the boardroom .... I always felt that this was an excellent PR exercise, got some decent info across to fans and actually answered things they were asking about ! Once the Q&A with the chairman has been done I may chat with Mike / Fiona (and the chairman) to see if its possible (or desirable to the club).
  14. There is a constant grumble from some quarters that the club never speak to us like they did in the past, with the prefernce now being to announce rather than discuss things. One of the most successful parts of the old official site was the BOARDROOM BANTER series of articles that former ICT Director Kenny Cameron initiated and provided to us each month. This series of articles saw Kenny taking the most talked subjects on the message boards and trying to give a perspective from inside the boardroom. It was a shame when Kenny stepped down and these articles ceased, but we thought we would try our hand with the new chairman and see whether he might like to do a one-off question and answer session that helps us get to know a little more about him and his vision for the club while also answering some fan submitted questions. We are happy to say that he has agreed and more information about where to send questions can be found on the following link http://www.caleythistleonline.com/index.ph...&Itemid=175
  15. before my time :004: but see this thread which has much reminiscing http://www.caleythistleonline.com/index.ph...msg8396#msg8396
  16. and the screenplays are created by ghost writers ....... ... I'll get ma coat :017:
  17. PM-ed you back. The fairest thing for you would probably be ebay as you would have a wider bidding audience and I think you might possibly get a decent amount from a programme collector, perhaps more than you would get from me or the other person who messaged you. I have the signed shirts so its not crucial I have a signed program - although it would be nice - so if anyone else has a spare (unsigned) program from the game I would also be interested.
  18. Personally, I would be selling others long before I touched these - these are classic programmes that would be the last to go from my collection. I have most of the ones you mention but am lacking one from Feb 8th 2000. I have two signed matchday shirts from the Celtic game in 2000 (subs tops) that I received as a result of a couple of player sponsorships I did at the time - The club gave the regular tops I had sponsored to someone else by mistake and I had to "make do" with actual first team (sub) tops from the Celtic game. Needless to say I was delighted with this (even if Tommy was almost crying) and although not all the players from that match have signed them as it was after the end of the season when I received them and some players moved on, the vast majority of them have. I would be interested in knowing what you want for the programme for this match as I am hoping to get one of the two tops, along with some of the newspaper cuttings from that night and my match ticket framed in a shadowbox and hung on my wall as the main display piece in my basement rec-room. The addition of a programme would make it 'complete'.
  19. Mr Newell sounds like a right plonker .... and one that may be out of a job very soon. The article linked above is a beauty that contains several of his post match comments ..... "It is bad enough with the incapable referees and linesmen we have but if you start bringing in women, you have big problems" "I have not spoken to the chairman for months. I cannot understand what he is doing here. The club has gone backwards off the pitch during the last two years. He has not made any decisions and he has contributed nothing. Everything he has got involved in, he has messed up. I am not considering my own future because, apparently, he is going." "I will not suffer fools - I never have and I never will. There are players out of contract at the end of the season but nothing is being done. I am up to my eyes in it." "I very rarely say things I do not mean" (this one might come back to haunt him !!!) "Whether I have been out of order, whether the comments are mistimed is a different matter. I'm just honest, sometimes too honest. I think the club will go forward in the future, hopefully the near future and whether I am here or not I want that to happen. Will I be the manager at the weekend? That is a question for the board but I am not going to resign." To be fair - the referees association have backed Ms Rayner - an international player for England Ladies - saying "She has the qualifications to officiate at Championship level and to say she should not be there is totally unfair. Amy Rayner earned the right to be an assistant referee in that game. Amy is a role model. Football remains a male-dominated sport but she has the bravery to do something she loves. If the decision was wrong he might attack the assistant referee but he should not say she should not be in the game simply because she is a woman. " Think that is an appropriate response to neanderthal Newell
  20. That might explain the knowledge level and making it sound like he was remotely interested. Bill Leckie, the journo who actually has a clue (along with yourself & RG, Charles)
  21. Wasnt Rossco a Hearts fan in his youth ??
  22. nope - he made his debut in the starting lineup last season (03/05/06 V Falkirk). but agree that this is a good chance for him to shine and to be honest, I feel confident he will do well.
  23. Brown had a couple of decent saves to make early doors too ...... all in all, sounds like the teams are cancelling each other out
  24. Holy Feck IHE - that post was one of your best ever "serious" posts and it makes a lot of sense .... who's at your keyboard ?
