1. Agree with several comments in this thread ...... from listening to the full game on radio yesterday, here are my comments on what Kheredine Idessane and Willie Young had to say. Goalkeeping: Mike seemed to do pretty well - commentators gave him several :021: Defence: The whole defence was pretty anonymous. I dont think Dods or Munro were mentioned during the game (so therefore didnt do too much wrong either), but Tokely took a bit of stick for falling over like a sack of spuds a couple of times and the 'hoarding challenge' which Willie Young did say was fair. Only Hastings was commented on positively a few times. Midfield: Duncan was the main man singled out - how many times was it mentioned that he ****ed up a pass !!! Rankin was also mentioned negatively (not as good as normal) and both Royston and Barry were anonymous in the coverage. Attack: It was said that Bayne works hard but my own feeling is that he needs someone more experienced to play alongside. McAllister was gash and the commentary team wasted no time in highlighting several blown opportunities where he could and should have scored. On the plus side, the commentary team were very positive about both Markus and Blackie when they came on as they did seem to have a huge positive effect on how we were playing. As an "armchair manager" I would say that Black needs to come back into the side and that Paatelainen has also shown enough in the short spells he has had, to be given a run-out. Its unfortunate that he is cup-tied for next weeks game as I would have had him on from the start. I would also say that Rory needs to take a step back down for now .... he showed against Celtic that he can do it, but both before and since then he has looked disinterested or incapable. Whether that means we go with McSwegan up front or maybe use Morgan / Paatelainen / Zander on the wings and shove Barry up front who knows, but I am afraid that Rory just cannot cut it at the moment and we would be as well playing 4-5-1 than 4-4-1 + Rory.
2. can we get back on topic on here please. if you want to wind each other up or take the piss do it somewhere else - like on private messaging or the AG forum.
3. Actually, we could if we wanted to. Clubs have global rights to all their own footage and can show highlights packages, broadcast audio etc etc etc just by following the guidelines. The guidelines are pretty straightforward, and surprisingly enough dont have a lot of red tape involved ... they go something like this ..... Clubs have the right to use footage from all their SPL matches (both home and away) online. SPL Rules and UEFA Statutes govern when, and in what territories, moving pictures from SPL matches can be broadcast. If a game has been covered live by Setanta in the UK and Ireland then Clubs can exploit on New Media platforms (internet or mobile) audio-visual coverage (entire match or highlights) of SPL matches in which they are involved after midnight on the day that the game is played. If a game has not been covered live by Setanta in the UK and Ireland then Clubs can exploit on New Media platforms audio-visual coverage (entire match or highlights) of SPL matches in which they are involved after 10pm on the day that the game is played. Clubs should also ensure that no transmissions of moving pictures take place within another territory during its ‘blocked hours’. The latest list of UEFA’s ‘blocked hours’ can be found on www.uefa.com. (NOTE: 2:45 - 5:15 is the blackout period for England and Scotland) Bottom line, if the club wanted to, or found there was enough demand it COULD broadcast live audio globally. It could broadcast live video outside the UK (subject to UEFA blackout compliance) and it could show highlights or the full video of each game after 10pm or midnight depending on whether the match had been shown live on Setanta or not. You can usually tell when a club is controlling its own media - it tends to mention on BBC website that they cant broadcast that game outside the UK !!! The whole audio/video broadcasting arena (for those of us outside the UK) needs to be looked at because its a complete mess ..... I believe the SPL are looking for ways to develop non-domestic interest in the SPL, well one of the first ways would be to sort out the non-domestic broadcasting .....
4. its for next season so wouldnt expect it to be available for a few months yet ..... I would guess that the club had to release details early so they could try to gather the 1000 names for the commemorative version.
5. Discuss the game in here Get to the chatroom HERE See the subs / bookings / report HERE LINEUPS MOTHERWELL ICT
6. Cant see there being any legal reason for not publishing it on the website. The only reason there might be would be any potential copyright infringement. However, as the copyright holders of this site - myself and Caley D - have no objections then it must be something else. Would like to see them add it either in the letters section or in the sports section but can see why they dont add it to sports as it is not 'news', its 'opinion'.
7. Try sending YOMPA a personal message - he is in that neck of the woods ... not Ayr, but close-by
8. if you enter academy street, inverness, gb and inverness airport, gb into google maps as from/to you get one ROUTE (not the castle stuart one) but if you do academy street, inverness, gb and castle stuart, inverness, gb as the from/to and then add inverness airport, gb as an additional destination you get LG's ROUTE
9. Here's a 'shot' of a CCD-TRV238
10. Shamelessly stole this topic from Pie & Bovril ...... (it was started by RiG after all !!) Who are the opposition's Key Players ? Whose name on the team sheet makes you think "oh $%#* !!" ? Aberdeen - should be Anderson but Lovell has done us twice in two games so I'll go for him !!! Celtic - Vennegoor of Hesselink / Nakamura Dundee Utd - Robson Dunfermline - Crawford if anyone Falkirk - Latapy Hearts - no-one - the team sheet is always a surprise, ok go on then, Craig Gordon. Hibs - Sproule Kilmarnock - Naismith Motherwell - McDonald Rangers - Boyd St Mirren - Lappin

12. Bob - as I mentioned on another thread - can you please stop publicly pointing people to illegal footage of SPL games. People know how to PM you and as the P can stand for 'Personal' or 'Private' we dont monitor it. Please dont take the 'P' out of us by Persisting with this procedure :004: :004:
13. thread closed - use normal 'matchday thread'
14. at least you can get coverage (if they switch it on) .... once again another game blocked for non-uk residents.

16. EWS - are your brother and friends in the limited number of family seats in the main stand or in 'normal' seats ? Sounds like Rebelwithoutaclue may be in the family seats and for some reason (discussed on another couple of threads), like the family section of the north stand these seats are not available as 'family seats' for this game .... While family seatholders can probably buy there tickets for their normal seats in the north stand at full price, it doesnt seem fair that they wouldnt let you purchase them at all in the main stand, even at full price ... they will no doubt be reserved for additional members of the prawn sandwich brigade.

18. guess he means me :015: :015: .... although I do buy from the shop, still pay my centenary club membership, and have more hassle trying to listen to games than most do trying to park at them
19. I have mentioned this before, but in my opinion, Toronto FC, a brand new 'soccer' team in a city where hundreds of thousands of youngsters play the game at a young age before changing loyalties to Ice Hockey, Baseball, Basketball and even Lacrosse have got it spot on. [li]They have a graded pricing plan for different areas of the ground that will be in operation for all matches. The lowest price is equivalent to about £7.50 and goes up to £30 for seats at the half-way line, season tickets cost anything from £100 to £850 and they will also have multi-game packs which are good for those who cant attend all games. [/li] [li]They advertised season tickets very early and made it worthwhile - decent discount and a small 'welcome pack' that will come with your season ticket. There will be nothing special in the welcome pack as far as I know, just a badge, fixture list, and details of things like how to get slightly discounted additional tickets for friends/relatives should you require them for occasional matches, details of how to upgrade your seat for certain matches if you want to then sit beside those you have bought extra tickets for, and a few other 'little' (and inexpensive) touches to make you feel valued. [/li] [li]One of the best touches - in my opinion - is that they also supply you with a direct dial number to your very own account executive. Should you need to contact them for anything regarding customer service or your tickets you will always deal with a real person and unless they are on holiday or something, it will always be the same person. My account exec - Matt - seems like a thoroughly decent chap and helped me enormously when I was trying to figure out a few things about my seat.[/li] [li]Season Ticket holders will get first refusal for their seats for playoff games at the end of the season[/li] [li]Cup games (up to 5) are included in your season ticket[/li] [li]15% discount on merchandise[/li] [li]First refusal on your seats for International games and the Youth World Cup in July 2007[/li] At last count, Toronto had sold more than 12,000 season tickets and that was before any players were signed or the fixture list published, and well before it was announced that David Beckham would be coming to the MLS. Obviously, sales went up a fair bit after the Beckham revelation, and will probably take a further upswing today as the fixture list was announced yesterday and it seems that DB's first ever game in MLS will be in Toronto in August (unless Real release him before the end of the Spanish season). Whilst it may not seem fair to compare Toronto - a city of 2.5 million - with Inverness, it is perhaps closer than you might think in football terms. Other than a small hardcore of fans, local support for football has been apathetic to say the least. Although hundreds of thousands of people play the game on a casual basis either at school or socially, the last professional team here - the Toronto Lynx - had an average crowd of only around 3500 and with the formation of Toronto FC have recently decided to drop down a few levels to become the equivalent of a Highland League side. In effect, Toronto will now have the equivalent of ICT & Clach playing in the city. The difference - the owners of TFC have gone all out in an effort to grab fans attention and make them feel valued in the hope that they can develop brand loyalty very quickly ..... and it appears to be working. I dont necessarily think that ICT should drop prices across the board for games like this as they are a chance to raise revenue and we are still not a rich club so do need money from games like this to make the books balance. However, I do disagree with the removal of the family section and think the club could do a lot more to make its customers feel valued. They have to look at the overall ticket and pricing structure (season tickets, family tickets, gate prices, 'graded pricing' for various parts of ground, a voucher scheme perhaps, 'away' season tickets, 'multi-game' packs etc etc etc.). Probably the one comment on this thread that perturbs me the most is the following from Maimie ..... This indicates to me that there is an issue and that fans are concerned about it but that it is being brushed aside each time it is brought up. To those on the trust who ask this question time and time again, I would say ... dont say 'for some reason' .... ask the question and publish the exact response. The trust is in the position of liaison between ordinary fans and the club and it is obvious that something is getting lost in translation if fans are bringing it up all the time and the club is saying no. To the Board, I would say ... There may well be a good reason for it but until the reason is explained the issue will not go away. Regardless of anyone's opinion on this matter - whether you feel ripped off, frustrated, or undervalued or whether you think the club are 100% correct - the mere fact that this discussion is taking place means that there is a significant quantity of customers who are not currently feeling valued and the simple fact is that disgruntled customers will eventually go elsewhere.
20. SKY eh ...... mmm, in that case there just might be a chance of it being on TSN Sportsnet or FOX Sports Canada then
21. Whilst I agree that the club could and perhaps should have done something on prices, I would just like to clarify a couple of things that have been said in this thread. Its not a hike - its the standard price for an 'A' rated game : TICKET PRICES As mentioned elsewhere in the thread, the family section doesnt exist for cup games. I am not sure why, nor do I necessarily think that it is a good idea, but its not just this cup game where it has been unavailable. The initial ticket price is not set by the club. For SPL clubs, it is set at the same level as your normal home games (which for most clubs means a premium ticket price Vs the OF). The clubs can get together and negotiate a lower rate but lets be honest ... thats not going to happen against the OF !!! PR blunder ? possibly .... fiscal prudence ? definitely. As I said at the top of this reply, I would have liked to see the club make more of a gesture to fans by having a deeper discount for concessions and some availability for family tickets - the cost of which would be more than offset by even a portion of the SKY money - but the rest of the ticket prices cant really be argued with.
22. ... there's an obvious line here where we could mention the dog owners name and one of the girls from the Mystery Machine, but lets not go there :015: :015:
23. Funny how nobody else actually mentioned trackie bottoms, ye should have been watching the game Row S, not Emily's erse. Anne Summers ye say though, I may have to start watching Livi games. :005: to be fair .... when she was at ICT someone did sponsor her trackie bottoms and she would rush out onto the park when needed with a big white handprint showing !!!

Dimensions ?

I thought I had this info in the clubguide - obviously removed it for some reason. I believe CaleyD is 100% correct with the 115yds length but I just cant remember if it was 75 or 80 wide ..... but it was definitely the largest playing surface in the UK after Wembley closed down.
25. Maybe has done this elsewhere, but in this thread the word 'their' as opposed to 'there' or 'they're' was used correctly -- i.e. as a possessive pronoun
