Matchday Thread: Rangers -V- I.C.T.
Not long in from a weekend in Glasgow, and the football was definitely the highlight of it. Can only echo what has already been previously stated, fantastic all round performance and tactics were spot on. Terry must have just given them a wee bit of encouragement to have a real go in the 2nd half, and that we did. Had them on the back foot for the best part of it. Unlucky not to have a penalty with Weir blatantly blocking Foran, had it have been up the other end you can have no doubt it would've been given. Hayes ran absolute riot in the 2nd half, ripping Papac to bits at times, it's just a shame his performance will be blotted for THAT chance at the end where he should have cut it back. It would have made it the perfect game and result for us, still though I don't blame the boy for going himself, if only he'd shown a bit more composure with it. For me our MOTM was Stuart Duff, he rarely wasted a ball and gave us such a presence in midfield. Thought he had a fantastic game, as did Esson. He was faultless for the goal as it was a quality strike, and dealt with everything else thrown at him. Thought everyone in ICT colours had a good game though, but they were the stand outs. Support was fantastic, and all in all a fantastic away day. Roll on Well then Dons away.

Best ever Caley game
For me it's the 3-2 win v Celtic, coming back from 2-0 down. Followed by the 7-0 Ayr Away Day, that was just immense. Also the Raith game with Foran's overhead well in to injury time. Games and moments like those make you fall in love with football really.

Matchday Thread: ICT -V- Aberdeen
Having seen the highlights now, I think Tokely was lucky to stay on the pitch after that. He went in with studs showing and took the boy out, right under the refs nose. Whether or not there was malice in Paton's challenege I dont know, but he seemed to flick his boot back in towards Hayes after, when he could easily have just kept going. Another ref might have kept Paton on and Tokely off, but c'est la vie, I'm not complaining. Oh and Jonny meant that.

Well done MAIN STAND
Why is this post on 3 red dots? Have a green yin to even it up a little bit, didn't hear much from the Main Stand either but presuming they made some noise to warrant these comments so well done all involved.

Great result, but Aberdeen were dire. Didnt really notice that Diamond was offside, and didnt think anyone in our team was even claiming it, but delighted the linesman saw something worth disallowing it. We rode our luck with that and Hayes goal though. Rooney's wee dink over the keeper seemed to take an age to cross the line, but was a huge relief when it went in. Dont think there was any malice in Tokely's challenge, just clumsy and mis-timed. Hopefully the boy isn't too badly hurt. Some good performances yesterday from Hayes, Rooney and Foran. Its brilliant to have him back in the squad, giving us another dimension in attack really. Thought Munro was brilliant yesterday too, he's looking far more composed and solid this season than he ever has done IMO and swept up nearly everything that came his way. Good to see the stewards and polis not being jobsworths yesterday aswell, despite standing up the top of the stairs throughout the 90 mins. Made someone take down a flag, as it was blocking an advertising board which is fair game, but other than that there was no problems and made it more enjoyable and a much easier day for them and also ourselves trying to create a bit of atmosphere. As for Aberdire.. They're not famous anymore!!

Top 10 SPL Saves
See Them Here Similar to the Top 10 Goals Thread that was on a couple of weeks back, Chick Young's top 10 saves. Good to see Esson feature twice in it as well.

Where are they now?
I'd quite like to have Bulvitis back in our squad at the moment.

Goal of the season
Pretty sure a chorus of this was uttered on the way home from Hibs..

Talking tactics
i would, shane would hold the ball up much better which lets be honest isnt very hard I'm not so sure actually. Don't think Eric has done much wrong to merit being dropped, however Rooney needs more support when we're playing at home. Don't know if Shane will have much of a look in now that Richie's coming back though, (touch wood). Although I think Eric is the better player, Sutherland is more of a bustling forward who could partner Rooney well up top to start, with Eric injecting a bit of pace up against tired legs midway through the 2nd half.

Goal of the season
No Liam Keogh, however.

Adam's on the up!
Especially in the case of Richie Foran, who also seems to like it up here.

Question St Mirren
What about when Morton have C*unty at home at the same time? Maybe they will deploy the Hibs ones for the day to wrestle out any troublemakers.

(It was Thicko.) My bad, didn't realise that til' the highlights. Clumsy challenge nonetheless though.

Agree with most of what's been said before. We didn't turn up really for the first half and Hibs could have been 2 or 3 up and had the game dead and buried. We were really lucky they missed the penalty as well, and it was only then that I thought we could actually sneak something from this. It was the turning point for me anyway. We looked more dangerous on the counter attack in the 2nd half, especially after the introduction of Sanchez. He had a brilliant game when he came on and seemed to add another dimension to the attack. Nick didn't have the best of games yesterday, but he put in a good ball to Rooney when he hit the bar. The penalty looked like it was coming, clumsy challenge from Bamba really but nice work from Sanchez to win it. All in all, a good point earned, entertaining game of football and a very enjoyable away day.

Easter Road Stewards
See post 20.. Seems a few of them have e-mailed their complaints to the club aswell, which is encouraging and highlights just how out of order it was. They will no doubt just get the rule book flung at them, but the point is it should be the same for when the Old Filth visit. They are just victimising ICT fans as we are an easier target for them.

The penalties yesterday
Motherwell's Graeme Smith saved a last minute Rooney penalty in 2008. Although Rooney did score the rebound. Now i remember Michael McGovern saving one last season but he got the rebound Still a crackeeen record nonetheless. Didn't give Broony much hope against him yesterday.

What was being sung by our fans that was offensive? "HIV capital" could be taken offensively. Hmm, fair point actually. It's more a cheeky wee jibe at Edinburgh being the Gay Capital in the country and HIV being associated with homosexuality. I suppose some people could find offence in it though, but that would mean they're gay themselves surely.. Most of it's just cheeky wee digs though, it's not as if many of us take offense when labelled Sheep Sh*ggers by opposing fans.

Nickname among the players because he looks Spanish apparently, so they called him Pedro and now Pedz.

For those who weren't there yesterday here's a wee piccy from the Hibs end.. Pretty sure there was 4 or 5 of Lothian and Borders finest standing at the top each stairway at one point though.

How on Earth is being on the bench going to help him improve?
