ICT and CTO posters can not possibly know about the circumstances of every fan, this case was well publicised and Peter's story is one of great courage and determination followed by tragedy. I agree that his family's wishes must be a priority out of respect. I also think a climb would be more appropriate, how many Munros are visible from TCS? Would it be inconceivable to light a beacon on each on the first day of the season? The experienced climbers could advise on which ones were more suited to less mobile participants. Just a thought. I'm not trying to rain on your parade GJr, just considering other options (which could possibly be incorporated into or in addition to a walk).

Principles or beliefs drive some people to fanatical violence towards their perceived enemy and they can justify it to their conscience. Tooled up? Kitchen knives and hand tools is hardly tooled up for combat is it? I do agree though that the trouble comes from their refusal to recognise Israel as a legitimate state. The siege of Gaza is designed to force Hamas to sit round the table but they would rather watch their own people die than recognise Israel exists.

I really don't see what all the fuss is about. He answered a question about the effect of DFC not being promoted was to his club and obviously they would have had a lot more away fans than ICT. I think that journalistic license may be a bit to blame for how many have interpreted it.

That is a valid point really, until you realise that they'll miss out on part of their pre-season travelling around and negotiating when they could be gelling with their new teams squad. We really need to hit the ground running this season.

Good suggestion. Agreed and an obituary in the matchday programme would be nice. How many fans really follow their dreams? I admire the man for his drive and commitment. May his family find some comfort that he died doing what he loved.
