  1. I forgot about Oswell. He looked a real prospect too. I would like him to get a chance if McKay goes.
  2. with Hibs about to lose Griffiths, a free transfer or two might come in handy. Great players. Awful reputations. Not players that can be readily ignored.
  3. I'm hoping for Top Six. That's way better than I thought we would be at, so that would be great. Anything above that would be fantastic.
  4. If ICT got booted to the 3rd Division over a non-existent debt, then I'm sure our fans would be just as belligerent. Yes, much of the fault does lie with their previous Board but, hey, this is football. Of course fans are biased towards their own. Oh, and it was send Rangers to the Third knowing it would impact finances. Don't see how there can be complaints. This was what was to be expected. And I agree with Oddquine on the other forum. If posts can't be writen on either Firefox (such as on my laptop or via tablet (Google for me), then it's time for a re-think.
  5. Ok, so we can ditch the Champions part of it but it's a smoke screen. Really the question is: a Euro-League. In favour or not? For me, yes. And a British Cup (though England will never agree). Not by dropping the Scots League but it will make it more interesting.
  6. Joint top?!? Its beyond belief.
  7. Before you start to love someone else, you have to learn to love yourself. from 'Everything I needed in life, I learned from Oprah'
  8. Tokely's on the bench most weeks and Duncan rarely appears for RC. Without denigrating anything they have done, would anyone actually like to see them back at New Year?
  9. I don't support a company, I support a club. Which company owns that club and whether they remain profitable or go bankrupt is entirely irrelevant to me. I suspect Rangers fans feel the same way, hence the fans of Rangers being fans of the Rangers (a term that was already used to describe the club). The team plays in the Rangers strip at the Rangers stadium under the Rangers manager. If it walks like a duck etc. I really do think it's time everone moved on. Yes, Rangers are under investigation for this and Rangers could sue for that. HMRC lost but they could appeal but might waste more money if they lose etc etc etc. For the good of the game, can't we just accept the situation is so muddled with wrongs on so many sides that we should just draw a line under it? Rangers are in the Tird Division. Punishment received. Long slow climb up the tables. Finished. Now, about the title race...
  10. Can we not just move on? Rangers are in Div 3. Fine. Now let's get back to league reconstruction and financial equity....oh, and football! Good legue this year, isn't it?
  11. Is it Dusseldorf - translation: village of the idiots. And no, I haven't just made that up.
  12. Never really got why he's always being compared with attacking players. I think his replacement here is Draper or a pushed back Foran. I still think he'd get in and improve ICT.
  13. Anyone think it's pretty ironic that Ian Black is moaning about hatchet men? A terrific player for us, he's always had a nasty streak that's seen him tackle late, high, with studs and every other injury-threatening way that he could. He's tried to deliberately hurt players in every other game he's played in. Although I still view him as an ICT legend, he's just feeling what other players have felt from him. He who lives by the sword and all that...
  14. Two leagues of 16, once home and away, is quite enough. Regional below that. Simple.
  15. Or Hogg. Or King.
  16. bad day at the office. Maybe a result to stop the blind optimism was a wake up call. Fight every game as a relegation battle and perhaps we can have the winning run again. A bit more caution and a realisation of limitations. We dont become a bad team overnight, then again, we have also been punching a little above our weight. A little more focus on not losing, rather than always winning will see us ok.
  17. Swap Doran and Sutherland round and I agree.
  18. Northern what? A seperate country from the Republic of Ireland, sure, but still on the island of Ireland. You'd do an Orangeman proud with that argument...but it'd still be wrong. The momentum for big Joe seems to be building. I certainly wouldn't be against that idea. Kenny's still #1 for me but Jordan just about edges it over Strachan, although I wouldn't be disappointed with either.
  19. Caldwell is far and away the best central defender we have. He's captaining his side in the EPL. I don't see anyone close to that level. Not Berra, not Hanley, not Webster, not Mulgrew. I'm not saying he's world class but he's the best we've got. Who else is there capable of playing at centre-back in the EPL? Adam's another that I being criticised but, again, he's the only player we've got that can pass a ball. D.Fletcher, Brown, Morrison and Dorrans are all good hard-running players...but they can't pass a ball. Unless we play dogged defensive or long-ball, we need someone that can pass a ball 10 yards without screwing up. I don't see many contenders. We've got to realise our limitations but replacing one player with an even worse player won't get us too far.
  20. So the upshot of what I've read from most people is that if it benefits Rangers in any way, we should not do it. Talk about parochial! The biggest change we should make is a more equitable distribution of income. Is it right Celtic can bid millions and pay tens of thousands whilst the likes of Allan, Fyvie etc will move to a reserve side as two of the biggest SPL clubs can't afford a little more? Everyone says Scottish clubs (or north England clubs, if you're Alex ) should be playing youngsters, but it's impossible if they leave, like Chris Macguire, to sit in Derby's reserves at the first opportunity. Let the top clubs compete for the best players in Scotland, not the best players in the world (perhaps they're not quite at that level) at the sacrifice of the rest of the league.
  21. My god, I used to spend hours educating Africans about the difference between Britain and England, and here's a Scotsman that thinks they are interchangeable. Yes, Alex. Being from Britain means you're English
  22. Yes he is. The northern part of Ireland. Hence the term...Northern Ireland.
  23. Aside from the colts...something to work with? Better than the current system? I would very much say so.
  24. could do without the Old Firms young guns but I would say a big step in the right direction.
  25. If you look at the list chief there is only five defenders to choose from and I think the chosen CB's are maybe more suited to that role so the choice at LB is Webster or Dixon. As for a comparison between Shinnie and Souness I'd never say there was one but then again I'd never compare anyone who came since to Souness. Its unlikely Scotland will ever see another one. Given that Dixon is a left-back, he seems the natural choice. Even Hanley or Kelly would be a better choice at LB. Webster just isn't mobile after all that time out, though I do rate him as a central defender. Oh, and I wasn't having a go at you over Souness/Shinnie. Just lamenting how far Scotland have fallen in talent. Yep, I know he is one of ours but still....
