I'm with Smee on this one. With both clubs in the premiership we must be sharing a small catchment for sponsorship, hospitality etc. Im sure from a business point of view both teams being in same league is detrimental? That's a different issue from enjoying derbies as a fan imho

Was on the bench last Saturday but obviously wasn't risked when game was so close in second half! His chance will come I'm sure of it. Also in the dev teams defence this is a youngish squad this year compared to last season.

collum has improved- well for that match at least However warren was booked for sure but it appeared to be for dissent It's strange - but none of the 'usual' football reporting outlets have noted a booking for Warren. BBC, SKY, Soccerway, SoccerBase etc. But these 'sources' often get their stats from the same agency, so if one's wrong, they'll all be wrong! It could be important later on, when a player can miss a big game due to earlier bookings. Was defo booked unfortunately.

I'm actually surprised at this topic tbh. Considering all media that is aimed at fans is done on a voluntary basis I think we are well served? The youth and community dept have their own FB page btw so if you follow this I think you'll find some of what you're looking for? I'm sure someone from the media team will post in reply in due course but given the small numbers and time constraints I think we are on a par with or better than the rest of the premiership?

It's a very young team this year but there's still good players there. Ferguson, Suntherland and Mackay are in the older age bracket here. Just because results not as good as last year doesn't mean there's no decent players there. Would like to see Calum F get a try in first team.

How do you know they didn't? The Mckay transfer did not complete until Friday PM, which doesn't leave much room for getting someone...even a pre-determined target...signed and ready to go for the Saturday. Physically getting them here would be a major undertaking in itself. Having been denied that opportunity, then it makes sense to take a bit of time to re-evaluate the situation...and also get a look at any players who became free agents following the closure of the transfer window. Having Watkins replace Mckay on Saturday didn't exactly prove to be the disaster some folk predicted, so that too has to be factored into the decision making. We seem to be going from the ridiculous "Sign someone...doesn't matter who, just anyone" to the absolute ludicrous, with allegations that the club are deliberately self harming by not signing someone (yet). It's pure hysteria and even normally sensible thinking people seem to be getting caught up in it. I personally find it bizarre (and somewhat worrying) that an event such as Transfer Deadline Day can have that effect on a community.The fact is after Ibra leaving a lot of people were still suggesting we need a backup striker. Now its not just 'deadline day hysteria' We needed to get a striker in a lot of peoples eyes before Mckay left never mind after. if we didn't why did we bid for Barnard. I also didn't suggest getting someone in on Saturday. But by midnight Monday, I don't see any reason at all why not. Personally I think if we did that we would struggle to attract players up here. An unhappy and bitter player is not needed either (Mckay if we had denied him his move).I can't imagine he'd be that bitter and unhappy waiting 4 months.I defend the club in most things but if we don't get someone in on a free at least we've made a mess of this. I think people at the club will feel the same. Come on some of the ridiculous stuff on this thread is laughable. From what I understand GMS was offered a deal at that time but didnt accept. Armstrong was in the youth setup and moved to Dundee to live with his family. Fail to see how club can be at fault for this. The club can only sell players for what other clubs are willing to pay? No?
