I have to say that the BBC have been reporting the Savage and Bangladeshi developments for well over a fortnight. Anyway.. the reason I posted here was to point out the irony that the said Councillor Corbett happens to be Chairman of the Licensing Authority . I will not fail to jar him about that one next time I see him! However, it would appear that any alcohol ban at Clach Park would not be as easy to get round as the smoking ban since as far as I am aware Inverness's laws against drinking outside would eliminate the smokers' expedient as an option. I am actually told, though, that the Bangladeshis may be happy enough for the Social Club to continue in the town end of the building if a partition was erected between there and the main hall which is what they want to use but that is unconfirmed. Looks like "The Wine Shed" could make a comeback. :)

:) Like BIGTAMS said I used to be a regular poster in the early days of the site and it was the first stop for me when I started an evenings surfing. In those days any light-hearted abuse and banter was aimed at the good folk(sic) of Dingwall and not at our fellow ICT posters. Back then though we were probably just happy to have a forum where we could discuss the rise of ICT. I still believe this site had a big say in us gaining promotion to The Premier League thanks to the online petition which highlited nationally our battle with Partick Thistle to gain our rightful spot in the top league. As previous posters have pointed out a large number of posts degenerate in to personal abuse and quite frankly are so boring that I lose interest and surf elsewhere. Don't give up yet guys and just keep handing out those :32:

How many buses are there gonna be going from Greig Street? Do you have to book a place on it or just pay there? You must phone the Social Club on 01463 238568 to book a seat. I would imagine the number of buses will depend on the demand. So fans cant show up and get on the bus? Do you have a telephone phobia A quick quiz, should the social club. A. hire 1 bus, a driver and let on the first people who arrive and turn away anyone elso who turns up. B. pay for the hire of 10 buses and drivers and pray that enough people turn to cover the cost of so many buses and drivers otherwise it will cost them a fortune. C. ask people who want to travel on a bus to phone the above number and tell them your name and the names of others traveling with you on the bus, so that they can request enough buses from a bus company and find enough drivers to work aswell. So let them know asap if this is your mode of transport. ER MM EH I think the answer is D Because you are trying to catch us out with a trick question

When a manager turns on the fans it is usually him being just one step away from the sack. He was under a lot of pressure and did not keep his cool. There was no personal abuse aimed at him only the usual shouts of get it sorted and get player x off and the like. No manager should shout F--k off you c-nt towards any fan and expect to get any respect. Mike Smith is always stressing that we are a family club and we do not want any foul or abusive language from the fans. It has to be the same from the management team as well if the club are to impose this rule. I was embarassed for the women and kids today listening to his rant and his assistant wasn't much better. The fans are entitled to shout if they are not happy as long as it is not personal abuse and it was not today. In his defence I can see how he would want us to get behind the team and give them our support but it is difficult just now with the way they are playing. He picks the team, he signs the players and he decides the tactics for each match so ultimately the buck stops with him. He is not daft and can see as well as the rest of us that we are not a good side at the moment so lets give him some time to sort it out and lets give the team our support because unless you want to go shopping on a saturday or watch Clach we have no option.

Esson still not sure about him :024: Proctor good squad player but will get the chop now that Tokely is available Bulvitus looks like he can be a useful defender :022: Munro much improved from last season and probably our most consistent player :021: Lionel is murder and has to be rested :33: :clown2: Cox looks like he will be a good replacement for Black once he adjusts to the pace of Scottish footie Stratford Looks lightweight and has to work out which way we are shooting. Today he passed backwards 9 times out of 10, no correct that make it 19 out of 20 Eagle is still young and hopefully will improve we should give him time to fit in :splat01: Hayes has a lot of pace and and a some nice tricks but like Cox he is still not used to the Scottish game Sanchez needs a kick up the a#s to get more out of him.
