  1. I don't dispute that it has been made clear that he wants to leave but Christie and the board have noted this publicly. If asked the question again is it too much to ask for a "no comment" rather than disrupt the squad with transfer speculation yet again. If he wants to advertise his services he can do it during the transfer window as any other proffessional would. You can't question his effort on the field since he decided to leave but I just think that there are ways a player should conduct himself to the media
  2. I think we should get someone in at the chrimbo transfer marked regardless if Dods is away then or the end of the season. Can't really grumble at his reasons for leaving the club but why does he have to do this through the press??

  5. You can see everyone's point of view in the matchday thread... why isn't this there???? ...but no I dodn't think it was that bad yesterday a couple of players decided not to turn up for the 2nd half but I'm sure Christie will have them told for the game next week. Can't complain with a point away from home or 10 out of 12 for that matter....
  6. Strange... I thought Rankin was one of our better players yesterday. He drifted out of the game in the 2nd half but thought his overall contribution was decent
  7. Dunan has to learn how to pass a ball - it's getting embarrasssing! Shame we can't combine the two of them... :evil07: Exactly what I was thinking... If Black had Duncan's positional sense or if Duncan had Black's composure on the ball we'd be sorted. I think Christie prefers Black because he got the potential to be a great player but who says he is going to stick around at the club when he does???

    WYNESS

I thought Bayne and Dargo looked dangerous whenever they got the ball yesterday but definately would have liked to see Wyness getting 20 minutes to see if he could do something
  10. Duncan had a great first half, made some great challenges and him and Rankin looked like a good partnership in the first half but diffeent story in the second half. I don't know if it was lack of match prctice or whatever but he didn't look comfortable on the ball and gave away stupid passes when we looked as though we were about to get back into the match. Black needs to concentrate on playing football rather than getting booked...
  11. The only time we'll click is when we start playing the ball along the ground. Whe we have two clinical, intelligent strikers whoe semi understand each other rather than a total mis- understanding. YAWN
  12. we weren't great today but to not play well and get a point away from home musn't be smerked at.. I don't think we have clicked at all this season but we are still sitting in a great position. Just wait until we start playing well, we'll be challenging for the title!!!
  13. .... and still is your a bunch of ungrateful ba5tards.... 7 games unbeaten is obviously not up to your very high standards :006: :016:
  14. should've, could've, would've.... I think any ICT fan would have been delighted to take 10 points out of our last 4 games beforehand only 3 points away from 2nd :001: :001: :001: :001:
  15. :001: :001: :001: :001: looking good
  16. got to be CC or it's a conspiracy
  17. I'd have Craig Gordon as cover for Mark Brown :016:
  18. There wouldn't have been a team if it wasn't for Pele
  19. My post from P&B.... I thought both sets of fans played their part in a decent game with Rossco getting stick from Mirren and Bullock (Beast) getting stick from us. Both teams got stuck in and were on top at different parts of the game. Game of 2 halves (much like the game at ICT), neither team played great football but would say ICT edged it in the first half. MacPherson showed his intent by having the defence play long balls to Mehmet and Sutton, who to be fair gave Munro & Dods no end of hassle, Sutton especially. When ICT pass the ball about we can play some good football and at times Rankin and Duncan were bossing the midfield, with Bayne causing havoc and Dargo picking on the scraps we looked the better team. Although there were chances at both ends Dargo finished brilliantly putting us 1-0 up and going in at half time with the lead I felt we were capable of getting all 3 points. I'm sure MacPherson had the hairdryer out at half time because St Mirren were an improved team the 2nd half and got in our faces. It seemed that their wing backs/wingers pushed further out wide as our midfield was stretched and although Rankin & Duncan were arguably the best 2 players on the park in the first half they looked lost in the 2nd. Sutton's goal was inevitable after the pressure was put on and came from a corner where our defence was caught sleeping. Christie stuck on Hart for Wilson not long after their goal and it got us back in the game for a while but there were only half chances and even though we pushed towards the end it just wasn't to be. TBH mustn’t grumble at a point away from home but after the first half I think we were more than capable of getting all 3. Brown *** Was brilliant between the sticks but his kick outs were dreadful, at times where we were under pressure and it just made us look more vulnerable.... extremely annoying but his handling was excellent and made some important save in the first half. No chance with Sutton's goal. Tokely ** Was under scrutiny but these are the sort of games that should test a players character and he failed miserably. Really poor game, didn't look comfortable at all when the ball landed at his feet and looked confused with how to mark Lappin (??).... just not at the races today Hastings ** Again, he just didn't know how to pick up the Van Zanten and his distribution was awful. Dods **** Solid as ever, tried to make up for Tokely's mistakes but obviously impossible to play 2 positions. MOTM for me Munro *** Looked a bit shaky at times but was a decent enough performance Wilson *** Made some good runs in the first half but never really did anything with the ball, looked tired 2nd half and was replaced by Hart. McBain ** Non existent for most of the game and never really gave Hastings any other option than too pump the ball up the park. Should play in the centre of the park or not at all!! Rankin **** One of our best players, obviously confident after his 2 goals against Falkirk... drifted out of the game in the 2nd half though Duncan *** Great first half... terrible in the second Bayne *** Can't fault his effort but was trying to win headers against 3 solid centre halves, ended up giving away far too many free kicks Dargo **** Worked harder than he has done all season and took his goal well. Subs Hart *** Great sub to have and looked dangerous whenever he got the ball McCallister * Only got 5 minutes
  20. BOOOOOOOOO!!! :016:
  21. I can't remember Duncan ever playing right back????
  22. Agreed I'll admit I was fuming when I heard Andy (toss pot) Walker say it on Scotsport but in a way he is right. I think we have the bit between our teeth because we are thought of as underdogs and we would maybe struggle if it was any different.
  23. I'm not so confident, mind you I haven't been able to make it to any reserve matches so no doubt I'd have a better idea from that. Even if Caff did the job for us at centre half we will still need cover for him and I think CC will be looking for cover in right back also, all the reserve game line ups I've seen we seem to end up playing Soane at the back due to our lack of options.
  24. I think the board named CC as manager because they were sick of managers using the club as a stepping stone and also because of his familiarity with the club and obvious potential. I can't say I would have been disappointed to hear Levein as a candidate at that time but on retrospect the board (as always) made the right decision.
  25. No, most of the posters on here think that he is not playing to his potential there is a massive difference between that and not being good enough! You've already been caught out after slating CC and then been back on here praising him after the Rangers win, so how long this time I wonder before your back with your tail between your legs??????
