  1. he never had the support or respect.... this board has been split from day one with people saying he isn't good enough, how can anyone ever expect to succeed when they have people already plotting their downfall? It is as though you (and others) want him to walk so you can be proved right... to be quite honest it is a fcuking disgrace that you find it so easy to name a replacement for him when he is still at the helm. Everyone knew from the start that this job wouldn't be a quick fix, Brew and Robbo had the team when they were at their prime but now Christie is trying to bring us into a new era and bringing players into the fold that are also inexperienced at this level, so even these guys are trying to adapt. There is a very famous saying in football 'a manager is judged on his signings' and so far, for the very small fees CC has had to work with he has unearthed a couple of gems so far, I for one am looking forward to seeing what he can bring out of the bag at the end of the season. Incase you haven't realised by now, I am an optimist... and although, as I have already stated, we have had a very up and down season it has by no means been a bad one... if it was we would be sitting in 11th or 12th especially since: [li]this season our average attendance is the lowest in the SPL[/li] [li]we have spent the least amount of money out of any team in the SPL[/li] [li]we have the most inexperienced manager in the SPL[/li] [li]we, as a club, are almost 100 years younger than every other SPL team[/li] [li]we have had 2 of our first team strikers injured for more than half a season collectively[/li] The stats are against us as it is, but if that is not enough, our fans seem to be content with the team failing just so they can feel vindicated for doubting the man in charge. We could and should be in a far worse position than we are but our fans seem to have trouble realising it, this is not 'small team mentality' but just the real world. I am actually getting to the point where I hope we do go down just so we can get rid of these ungrateful fans and see who is still going to the matches when we pay in the lower leagues... at least the tickets would be a lot cheaper.
  2. Honest hat on This season has been very frustrating, we have had some of our best games since coming into the SPL (not losing 1 point to Rangers, reaching the quarter finals of the scottish cup, pumping Hibs 3-0 etc.) and we have had some of our worst (St Mirren, Dunfemline etc.). Under Brewster we were very consistent but you could expect the same thing in every match, solid back line and long ball. Christie has obviously tried to make us play a better passing game, with a quick counter attack and at times when the midfield is on song we have been superb but we have also failed to get going in a lot of matches. What has really annoyed me about this campaign has been some of our fans attitude from the start of Christie's appointment, since day 1 he has had people casting doubt over his potential as an SPL manager. For that reason I don't blame him for considering stepping down. But he has to remember that there are also fans, like myself, that have supported him all the way and if he does step down I will be extremely disappointed in his lack of determination to make this club a sucess.
  3. After seeing the replay, Black could have quite easily been sent off if he had made contact with his original challenge, I'm not in anyway saying that McManus shouldn't have gone but Black dived in with both feet for that challenge... he is just as much to blame as that fandango!!
  4. Just thought I'd save you all the trouble of starting a new thread :004:
  5. Iwelumo is playing for Colchester on Sky Sports 2 if anyone is interested... I'd eaily have him in before Beattie.... I'd have Thompson (ex Rangers/now at Cardiff) ahead of him.... anyone!! ... saying that he'll probably score a hattrick against Georgia
  6. whats that got to do with the price of bacon? I work as a claims assessor at Prudential, for the moment anyway :020: Think this thread has run it's course :012:
  7. is my question not clear enough :017:
  8. :015: :015: :015: You forget, I actually know what you look like now.. 'face like a skelped erse' :icon_cyclops:
  9. doesn't really work in type :023:
  10. Zander is twice the player that Lionel Messi is :004: :016:
  11. But it would be unfair to draw serious comparisons with the Killie promotion as they also halved their prices. We shall see though. Very true, it's good to see them making some sort of gesture though
  12. Last weekend before pay day so think I might have to give it a miss... also Prudential have today decided that they are looking to outsource 3000 jobs to Mumbai so probably best if I keep my pennies for the moment.
  13. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: You slate Christie for playing Zander on the right and then choose him for that position in your own fecking formation :steward: ... I rest my case :003: I'd go.. Fraser Tokely Caff Dods Hastings Duncan Wilson Black Paataleinen McAllister Bayne
  14. That's fair game IHE you have your opinion In that Celtic match though we had absolutely no midfield subs due to injuries and as already stated to the press Black had asked to come off the field so the only option was to put on a forward. Last time Caff came on to play out a game against Aberdeen (I think) CC was slated for it when they scored a late winner, obviously his idea was to give them some more problems. The only debatable thing IMO is whether Black actually did signal to be taken off, you are the only one that can decide whether you believe it or not. Killie match, when you had a go at Christie for subbing Black you turned to me and said he hadn't even been carded, which he obviously had been. Why would Killie fans be calling him a w@nker if he wasn't sailing close to the line? Over the period he easily mounted up enough bad challenges to see him walk and IMO it was a matter of time.
  15. Banning order for each of them, season tickets taken off them... maybe a fine of some sort! Do you not think they should be punished? im not sure if they should from that picture, seeing as half of them are cut and paste jobs. general behaviour of their fans is poor so they should be punished for more serious offences where evidence exists, read in the paper down here apparently some guy from ayrshire is being charged with bigotted related breach of the peace (thats the jist of it) after the hibs - rangers game, they have 12 more names to approach rangers with. even if they get 13 of them, there were 3,000 at the game who could all be accused of breaking the law, the way rangers sell their tickets for away games it might be possible to get hundreds more but it wont happen.. getting some of them is a start though. did anybody see the picture on the back of the metro today :015: http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/arti...p;in_page_id=43 real shame that Depends on what you find more offensive, IMO taking the pi55 out of a world war event where thousands of Nakamura's countrymen, possibly family, (majoity innocent) were blown up by the atomic bomb is a different ball park from some wee ned screaming sectarian abuse. ... and I really do not think that photo is altered
  16. :025: :025: :025: :025: :025: Congratulations you have managed to make 3 posts back to back and in each one you have avoided my question!! [move]WHAT IS YOUR POINT??[/move]
  17. :025: :025: :025: Well done that man!
  18. I was referring to any game this season not just at Killie, but even with this there were plenty of aspects of our game that deserved to be praised. I can't remember you, at any point this season, praising the team or the manager in any way. You are a depressing **** quite frankly... so anyway, what exactly is your point? Are you saying that Killie are a much better team than us? because you seem to avoided my previous question on what players you would take into our squad... they had a couple more breaks than us, that is all. Our play probably merited a draw but it wasn't to be.
  19. Banning order for each of them, season tickets taken off them... maybe a fine of some sort! Do you not think they should be punished?
  20. I, he was hiding from me :015: :016:
  21. completely agree with you Scotty.. but even if it was only 1 or 2 fans, it still doesn't make it anymore acceptable
  22. Eck has gone quite safe with the squad.... think we are going to miss Fletcher and McFadden against Georgia. My major objection is Beattie, he has played max 10 games all season and scored about 2 goals and still gets straight into the squad. I suppose it was always to be expected with an ex OF manager.
  23. confidence and composure will come with age good news that Dargo is back :022:
  24. considering you were only there for the second half I'm surprised you don't think that it was the better team that lost considering how strong we played in the 2nd 45. I was obviously addressing last Saturday when I said we were evenly matched teams... but out of curiosity, how many of the Killie players would you actually take in the ICT squad? I would have Naismith (obviously), Di Giacomo and Greer... and considering we were missing 2 of our best players it is hardly a huge gulf in talent.... and on the day the game really was settled because of a couple of defensive lapses or 'breaks' for killie, if you like. And although I might be pro ICT (heaven forbid), you both seem incapable of giving the team and Christie any credit when and if they deserve it. It seems that you both made a decision to not back Christie to be controversial and are now to stubborn to get behind the team for the fear of looking like a **** (copyright clacher).
