  1. Charlton fans seem to be a bit underwhelmed at the prospect of ICT visiting. http://www.charltonlife.com/discussion/55626/inverness-calley-preseason-friendly-27th-july-at-home
  2. As far as signing Scottish players go, in a perfect world it would be great. Another concideration for young Scottish players could be the various Scottish national team managements who ignore Inverness/Dingwall. No young Scottish player, who feels he is good enough for the national team will go north to be ignored by Strachan or whoever is in charge. (A Shinnie was a 4th/5th choice by a caretaker manager so doesn't count ;-) )
  3. I hope so, those dates would be perfect. :-)
  4. What ever the team is that plays, I wonder how up for it they will be after yesterday. Reading on Twitter players not happy at numbers that waited behind for players to come out after game. And Doran in particular, getting abuse on twitter from ICT "fan/fans". Players/management must feel like they are farting against thunder sometimes!
  5. HT: 1-0 FT: 3-1 1st ICT: A Shinnie 1st Opp: Gauld Time of First Goal: 45min Crowd: 3887
  6. The players/managers also have to take a bit of responsibility. Players diving for free kicks and penalties, shouting for every throw in and corner that they know they haven't won, getting in refs face for most decisions, or groups of players surround ref after he gives a free kick/penalty. Managers constant nit picking of every decision on TV/radio after the game. If these things were to stop, the ref's would be under less pressure and probably get most decisions correct. Having said that, I still reserve the right to call the ref a w****r from time to time.
  7. Does Cllr Smith not realise, she is more likely to get more votes from the 000's of football fans, rather than the 50-60 in the Kirk. To those who vote in Cllr Smiths' area, vote her out next time and vote in someone who lives in 21st century!
  8. With Neil Lennon putting out weakened teams against County and St Johnstone, I fear the hope of European football, may be slipping away! http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/celtic/223658-celtic-boss-to-sacrifice-spl-wins-for-cup-final-and-european-qualifiers/

  13. So, when are they revealing their ideas for improving Scottish football? If they say no to what was on offer, they surely must have an alternative. Chuckles at St Mirren couple of weeks ago, conspiricy?
  14. Does the 12.00 kick off v Saint Johnston mean its on TV? I cannot believe TV want to show that again, borefest!!
  15. Let's not get into this "I go to more away matches than you so I am a more loyal fan then you" nonsense. The reasons why people go to particular matches whether it be home or away are matters for them. Some folk wish to and are able to get to most matches. That's great. Other folk for financial, work, or personal reasons (caring for a disabled loved one, for example) only manage to get to a few games. Going to away matches can involve planning and pulling in favours from others and therefore that will tend to be the glamour ties or special occasions rather than Wednesday evening in Kilmarnock. I accept that there are also plenty of folk who don't have the same level of commitment to the team as others and who could but simply don't want to go week in and week out. Of course, it would be great if they went to more matches but they are unlikely to do so if others make them feel that they are not proper supporters. If we get into Europe it would be great if we got good support for away matches (note the optimistic plural). If folk who rarely manage to get to away matches can sort things out in order to be part of that historic chapter in the club's history, then we should all join together in giving the best possible support for the team. Having a small group of regular supporters questioning the right of others to be there really isn't very helpful. CaleyJags Together and all that. I go to more away matches than you do. Maybe, But, how many games do you actually get to see!
  16. Under 20's had a brilliant comeback this afternoon at St Mirren. 1-0 down at half time and down to 10 men in 1st half injury time Saints went 2 nil up early in 2nd half, but 3 goal, the last in the 94th minute won the match for ICT. Someone will fill in names as I have no idea who scored or got sent off.
