Should Hughes be SACKED?
How can we compare an arrogant, selfish, two timing, NARCISSTIC English psychopath with a humble, working class, likeable Scottish plodder ? When the Messiah left all asundry waited for the exodus - does it not say summat that they are all still here and looking to stay ? Feck the statistics - Hughes was the only one "tough enuff" to fill the breach after the Narcissist. Hartley and his inexperience would have been shot at by now. And do not forget that Hughes had to wait an age to get Latapy on board - it is like Russell would say - ya have to chill man before the feckin high hits ya.

Should Hughes be SACKED?
Hughes is like a cross between Andy Murray and Geoff capes whereas Butcher was like Virginia Wade and Fatima Whitbread.

Should Hughes be SACKED?
That was it - I always get the McEnroe outburst wrong !! I think I know where this thread came from - it is clay season and Mahonio is probably more comfortable on grass.
-
Should Hughes be SACKED?
Just trying to lob this thread out of court before it reaches 20-18 in the fifth set. Give Hughes some time and never hurry a Murray. I have only one thing to say to Mahonio - You have got to be kidding man !! Anyway he said that he is not Goran reply.

Should Hughes be SACKED?
What the deuce is Mahonio playing at ? Is there a point to this thread ? He is treading a thin line. It is just not tennis. He is taking advantage of other posters. And he has been forced to trawl the net elsewhere although some would say that is ACE. He is double serving expletives and they are not back-handed compliments. Can we still love him or should we Grand Slam him? And the only thing he has got in common with Wimbledon is that he is a feckin Womble.

Team for Partick Thistle
We are all back to chopping and changing !! Brill and the back four practically picks itself - however I feel that a BIG decision needs to be made about Shinnie (for him and the team) - should he be given a run as part of a wide midfielder ? I feel that Tremarco is a solid defender and would benefit from someone with mobility like Shinnie covering him. Then who plays wide right - to me Watkins is the main choice over there. Doran is close behind but it looks like he has lost favour (and it shows). Who are the best defensive midfield duo ? I would actually put Vincent in there. Draper is the other and I think his new contract puts him in poll position. In the hole could be Christie or Ross - Lets try Christie - or what about McKay dropping back that wee bit. Up front - why not Foran ? - like Shinnie we need to make a decision as to where he is playing (again for him and the team) - Lets face it he has become a utility man - a stop gap and that is unhelpful It will not happen (Yet) but: BRILL RAVEN WARREN MEEKINGS TREMARCO WATKINS VINCENT DRAPER SHINNIE McKAY FORAN SUBS: ESSON, DEVINE, TANSEY, ROSS, CHRISTIE, DORAN, POLWORTH

Motherwell -V- Inverness C.T.
That is an interesting post by jrict - at least it has some rationale for the criticism and hones in on the present and tactics - must have been looking at some of mine - although I note that Mary does not wholly agree. It may be too late now but there are some questions that I would be interested in gaining response for: It sounds more like a 3-5-2-1 formation which would be suicide away from home - cant see Raven as being a marauding wing back although Shinnie I can. Foran and Draper as defensive midfielders is fine. Tansey as the ball player is fine but he has to be in front of the other two. The job of Foran and Draper should be relatively simple in that is should regularly be a simple pass - aiming at the "feet" of Tansey, Doran, Vincent and McKay or over the top to McKay (he made some great off the ball runs in the final but people in front of him were looking sideways and not with their heads up). Doran should be hugging the feckin touchline. I always feel that we play better when we play and use width. That is why the 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-2-1-1 has always worked for us. Tansey and Vincent should never be played wide - Tansey is a central midfielder and I feel that Vincent is either that or more of a defensive midfielder. We are missing the Andrew Shinnie type player and we have tried a few and they have not got exactly what it takes - Ryan Christie could do and should be given that chance. But that would need the width and the movement as it would be useless lobbing and hoofing - hence the tactics of passing - problem is that we are not passing quickly enuff, in to space and moving forward and supporting.
