What I did on my holidays
doubful we struggle getting a handful of fans I am surprised that you have forgotten the art of sarcasm.

Shane Sutherland
Have been saying this since pre season and I am baffled at why it hasnt happened. He is the one person that should have been "bedded in".

Team for Ayr
Now is the time to avoid change - We simply have to start with the side most likely to start against Kille and the Jam Tarts - except Tuffey so TUFFEY PIERMAYR HOGG GOLOBART SHINNIE DORAN MORRISON TANSEY HAYES SUTHERLAND FORAN Although I suspect that Terry and Mo may prefer Shinnie or Tade to Sutherland. This will be a real test of Tery and Mo's managemnet kudos.

Keep the faith
I will always keep the faith but I am getting a bit edgy as losing can become a habit and confidence sapping - also getting too far adrift at the bottom is sould destroying. We are beginning to look fer the turn of the tide at the end of very game now. I never thought that I would say this but I am not bothered about the result against Ayr and wouldnt be bothered if we went mega change style. I really wanted a cup run this season but the clear focus must be placed on the two home games against Killie and the Jam Tarts. From a positive or perhaps reasonable excuse perspective - we have had a pre season and a start ravaged by injuries and suspensions - we have never had a settled squad to select from - we have made some very promising signings - the "togetherness" factor appears to be remaining intact but so many changes and newbies takes time to gel - time which we now dont have. From a negative perspective is that we have not secured an out and out striker which we clearly need - worringly and shockingly - irrespective of all the injuries etc. we still do not have to settled on a "system" and Terry and Mo clearly do not know what their preferred starting X1 are - I am very worried that they have been so reactive in both sticking with some players (Proctor / Tade) and throwing others in at the deep end (Aldred / Golobart) and not looking at giving some of the more long standing squad players such as Morrison and Sutherland a run in the team. The return to the "hoof" tactic is just wrong and it worries me that Terry and Mo appear to be 1-2 weeks behind some of the more astute armchair managers on this forum. A lack of consistency and a predication to reactive change have always been Terry's achilles heel. 0-1 points from the next two home games and I will be beginning to really worry and we are already becoming dependent on other results. The team selection and tactics are vital to get us up and running. I BELIEVE

NOS Cup
Just heard that it has been moved to Mahonio's back garden.

Tokely Appeal
Well we just have to get over with it but it has clearly set a precedence - but they had it all clearly recorded from THREE different positions on TV replays - do they feckin use them. They had a get out clause becos they could have even spared criticising the ref by simply stating that his view of the actual incident was obscured - and it was - and he made a genuine error of judgement - although he still was probably waiting fer an opportunity to redeem himself. It will never happen but I cant help but thinking that if we had adopted the instant replay and panel decision as they have in Rugby League - this tackle would have been replayed to all with slow motion and different angles and a big sign saying NO GOAL would have been displayed fer all to see.

Turkish Delight for Aaron
Congrats to the lad - looks like he is hungary for success but lets hope that we dont fall fowl and he gets gobbled up by admiring onlookers.

Roman on Loan
Being smack back in Pie Eating country and all the in laws being Wigun supporters I have some genuine inside knowledge here - especially from my brother in law who works at the stadium and watches all the reserve games. Unfortunately he describes Golobart as a skillful, typically Spanish defender who is very strong in the air and likes to play football from the back. He does also describe him as being a bit too cocky at times and prone to have lapses in concentration - and is a far better player when he has more experienced defenders around him. States that he could be deadly from dead ball situations. He has apparently just got into the first team squad due to his performances in training. He stands out in Wigan as he doesnt wears braces or buys his clothes from primark. I am also reliably informed that we made a double swoop here and attempted to take Jordan Rugg on loan as well - not sure as he is another who is injury prone - but were turned down as the Wigun view is that this lad could be a first team squad player if he remains injury free. We appear to be really trying fer strikers - and focussing on the North West - and we have gone back to Owen Coyle again and are trying to broker a deal fer a centre forward - Micahel O'Halloran - from Glasgow - who has also just broke in to the first team squad.

Sending off in goal scoring opportunity.
That is why I told him to watch out - cos if he sees one in Greenland they will be mightily cheesed off bestards.

Tudur Jones
Becos - you grumpy pld git - there is a feckin Canary in Norwich and we do have some welsh based ICT supporters, plus the lad has played around the English divisions - but given his latest injury and this Swansea fans blog - oh Dear !! Owain Tudur Jones 2008/2009 Profile provided by Andrew Thomas Another player who`s has suffered with long term injury worries, much was expected from OTJ, and as he was starting to deliver his promise another long term injury sidelined him. Hard working in midfield, Owain is another player whose strength is reading the game, and his potential has been recognised by John Toshack, who has called him up to the Welsh squad on a few occasions. Despite coming from north Wales, Owain is apparently quite well adjusted and is not a Liverpool supporter. 2007/2008 Profile provided by Andrew Thomas OTJ was yet another player who suffered from our midfield injury curse last season. Owain is unlikely to play again until September due to his ongoing knee injury. He looked like a bargain signing when he arrived at the club two years ago, forcing his way into the Swans team and John Toshack`s Welsh squad. Coming from North Wales, Owain`s stirring pre match Welsh speeches have had a marked impact on the other Welsh speakers in the squad. 2006/2007 Profile provided by Andrew Thomas OTJ made an impressive start for the Swans and soon established himself as a first team regular until a knee ligament injury put him out of action for two months following the New Years Eve game at Swindon. His start to this season has also been hampered by his recent surgery. Called into John Toshack`s Welsh squad for the game with the Basques, OTJ was unavailable for the game due to the Swans unsuccessful play off final against Barnsley. His contribution to the team was initially rewarded with a one year deal at the start of last season, but this was extended to two year in January. Owain says that if he hadn`t been a professional footballer, he would have taken up an offer to join the New York Mets basketball team.

Tudur Jones
I rate his potential but my question - not yet answered - was what is his usual style ?

Financial state of club?
Does that mean that "headers" get in free ?!!

Sending off in goal scoring opportunity.
Watch out fer them feckin polar bears mate.

Team fer Huns
Clearly the blame fer yesterday's defeat lies with Alex McLeod fer his insistence on predicating results on Saturday 13th and Georgios fer the early morning selection post which Terry may have read at breakfast and sub consciously changed his match selection.

Tudur Jones
I felt fer Tansey as he clearly made himself available fer the ball but it was invariably hoofed over him - plus I also suspect that it was the match plan and Tansey was asked - understandably against Rangers - to hold a defensive line with Jones and allow Hayes and Doran to do the foraging. But that is nt his style / forte but against the OF he will have to adjust. As I said - what is the Tudor Jones - pre ICT ?

ICT -V- Rangers : Matchday Thread
He wasnt biased - he was "influenced" by negative feedback at half time. My feeling is that refs should be left alone until the final whistle - but with tha advent of live TV, replays and the fourth official - that kind of thing seeps in - plus watch McCoist at half time - if I was him I would be on a wind up of "dont have to ask me about the decisions you missed - just feckin watch it on TV and feckin weep"
-
Rooney
No need fer a red dot so sorted. Rooney's persisitence made the goal. I know a couple of Brummies who have been impressed by his performances but they question if he has the pace to make it in the Championship. Judging by TV clips he has been working hard in the Gym in pre season and suspect that pace off the mark will be high on the training regime priorities. Could Shane Sutherland be next ?

ICT -V- Rangers : Matchday Thread
Good post which necessitates a response !! 1. Munro, Duncan and Rooney have moved on - but we evidently miss their "style" in those positions and - unfortunately - this places a lot of hig expectation on poor wee McKay - who clearly isnt a centre forward. My frustration with this is why Terry has not persisted with Sutherland, 2. I really do not think that Tentpole is fully fit and it has been said that he missed pre season - but that again asks why not persist with Ross or even Shinnie. 3. Very good point about Esson - would love to know why he has become so refrained. 4. Hogg is another who has needed to be pitched in - not fully fit - and will have to assume the "leader" role. He did that role well at Hibs and I suspect that Hogg/Aldred will be the first choice combination this season.

Team fer Aberdire

Youth teams
At the risk of interfering with yer Internet romance madsooz - or can I call ya just mad - dont fret about saying what ya think or feel on here. Of course ya will get red dots but you will also get green dots to scrub them out - in fact ignore the feckin dots as they are usually given by individuals who are not relating to the content of yer post but becos they simply have a different perspective. And there are some bestards who are simply being sarcastic or "fishing" - ya can spot them a feckin mile away  I could be a role model

Team fer Aberdire
I suspect that Aberdire fans may be saying summat similar !!

Tudur Jones
I am sitting on the fence in respect of my opinion of Owain. Is there anybody who has an insight on him prior to coming to us - is he displaying his usual style - plodding and lackadaisical (albeit potentially effective) - or is he simply not match fit ? Where is the Canary when ya need him !! I understand that he didnt feature in pre season training at Norwich but - if that is true why is he in the side at the expense of Ross and Shinnie.
