  1. Agree - the trek up yon hill would feck up a lot of us.
  2. Gardiner has never had a go at me so that is a first and suggests that he is a real nobhead
  3. He nearly broke the Ayr crossbar near the end but it was a well organised back four, leaving Boyes more opportunity to drift forward.
  4. Only if Mr Gardiner pays the bills
  5. Well the last game I attended (Morton away) left me speechless but the performance today led to the first smileymometer in a long time. We passed the ballell and rarely backwards - there was only the rare mistake - Ridgers was commanding, made a number of saves including a worldy - the defence held a steady line - there was movement a plenty - we pressed well - we had individual players taking on different roles - the passion and energy was only too clear. The "negatives" were that we were lacking in that final touch on a number of occasions, we didn't take on defenders and hit the bye line enough and we still employ the high balls to McKay & co too much. But as it was at Ayr away it was a good day at the races Ridgers Two big stops early doors and looked the part throughout. Duffy Dodgy start but rarely caught out thereafter. Devine Appeared to be the main organiser at the back and commanding in the air. Boyes Looked knackered in the first ten minutes but evidently that is him. 2 goals and a foil to Devine - enuff said. MOM Harper Did have a real challenge with Chalmers and the equally effective right back but stood up to the challenge. Carson Welcome back Dave - 100% in all aspects including cheerleading Welsh a performance recalling older days. Stay free of energy mate. Gilmour Second fiddle to Welsh but did the midfield hard work. Anderson Started up front but looked a bit lost at times but much better when withdrawn back. Shaw Thought that he put in a great shift and popped up all over the place. If only he had a right foot. McKay Took his time to knock in the goal but he is now Mr. ICT. Special mention to Mrs IHE for attending as she has actually never seen ICT yet beat
  6. Hampden ? Wouldn't fancy a play off against Falkirk or Hamilton either.
  7. on the hour NIL shots on or off target !! And of all peeps Todorov scores
  8. Well it really was a strange 2023 !! The pure shock and delight of getting to another Scottish Cup Final amongst previous predictions of doom and gloom. I for one will be glad to see the back of 2023 and I do truly believe that Big Dunc can bring us more cheer but that may not be realised until closer to 2025. Have a guid one peeps
  9. Sherif is evidently marked as one for the future. He has been at Everton since he was 13, has been playing games for the Under 21's and has signed a 3 year professional contract. Butterfield is an ex-Scottish youth international who has been on the edge of first team promotion. Another on a professional contract. Both would enhance ICT and lets hope that Dunc is also an attraction. I can see why they would be the main choices and also available to the end of the season.
  10. According to my Toffee mates approaches have been made to take Butterfield and Sherif on loan until the end of the season.
  11. Well here was me salivating at the mere thought of watching Dunc's revived assembly and then that was such a disappointment. Nobody really took the eye and despite having most of the possession our final ball was totally missing. Witherspoon and Billy were making loads of runs but the passes never found them behind the back four. It could actually have been a lot worse.
  12. Whats the craic on Tuesday night if you had a ticket for the original fixture ?
  13. Unfortunately this is a case of two individuals fighting both for the club and their own positions - including the financial perspective - but perhaps in a no lose position. Lose out and the option to leave and apportion the blame - win and be heralded as saviours. Personally I would bite the bullet and go for the latter. All is fair in love and business
  14. This would be the icing on the cake but we can't afford a below Par performance.
  15. Did you hear it on Sportsound ? Or was it the North Star
  16. My old man said be a County fan - I said f@@@ off, bollocks yer a **** - we took the Jail End in half a minute, we took the Briggs with the Staigo in it - Hammered in the Mallard - and in the Commercial too - cos when you are tipsy, ye canna trust a gypsy - in their manky Dungwall slums
  17. If this was an away fixture then a slight degree of trepidation would be normal but playing at home really should be a foregone conclusion. Let's just hope that the forthcoming draw / draws land so kindly.
  18. Fraid that injuries will delay our ability to gauge progress and only a favourable outcome and an improved performance will suffice. The question as to why we always seem to have a spare of early season injuries remains unanswered and worrying. Dunc has the same excuse as Dodds should he wish to use it ?
  19. I initially thought that it was Sheridan Smith as she would be a real distraction up front. But I suppose she wouldn't have gone for a short contract and the thought of showering with some of our present team would also have been a turn off.
  20. Oh what cherished memories - the Animals day trips to Morayshire
  21. Perhaps not in the right forum but Dunc will be devastated by this as most Evertonians will.
