Relegation: A 2 Horse Race?
At the present time we dont have the players to survive - lets wait and see who Butcher pulls in - and even that sticks in my throat - WE SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN IN THIS SITUATION IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Robbo's last chance?
Sadly Robbo is yet another victim of our clubs insularity. He was obviously the best person fer the job but the egos have to be massaged and cannot be put at threat. Fraid old Johnboy is going to be spot on.

CAN WE NOW STOP MOANING ?
Yip the Board can wait - for the time being. The man is a fighter and he wont bow down to pressure from above and will be immune from the internal politics - Never thought that I would be backing an English Hun though. Hope somebody has put a piccy of Maradonna on his notice board to rev him up.

Who will be the 3 candidates?
Beat me to it - i just got the same smoke signals. Thankfully I am informed that it still allows him to keep on the Scotland job as well.

SACK THE BOARD
Believe it or not I am utilising this as a means of stating that our demise was not solely the fault of one said Craig Brewster and that merely getting rid of him is not the answer. What I am also alluding to is that this episode is yet another instance of apparent poor management decision making which has been only too evident in the last 18 months or so. So this is the time to bring the topic into the conscious mind as many would wish it not to be. There is a certain feel of what happened in the past should stay in the past and we should all be appeased by the sacrificial scapegoat. I certainly am not advocating any more protests just polite, contained but cathartic discourse. The managerial decision is as interesting as there are undoubted hidden agendas / unfinished business / past wounds / past relationships placed in the melting pot. Robbo is the obvious answer and has been fer many months - possibly a reason why we had to endure Mr Brewster - but will common sense or business sense and old scars prevail.

Grant Munro @ left back?
That leaves Robertson in the frame - oh and Shearer as No 2.

SACK THE BOARD
Yes Alex - I dont think that the suggestion is preposterous but it is highly unlikely due to the control influence on the club. It may well be a different story at the end of the season - hopefully the happy ending. And what the feck is wrong with King Beastie - the man of feckin reason.

Countdown Mark 2
Och I am only trying to get a debate going. You have some good points - Morais and Magicduck (especially the latter) look like good signings - but Morais is still to be tested. A new manager will want to have his own back room, his own style and eventually his own players. I am simply saying that it was on the cards as to where we were going months ago and a new manager should have been sought in December - before the transfer window. And what I meant about the tactics is that it could actually have been Brew in charge. The changes were dubious, the system untested. We stayed in the game because of two "world class" finishes and real desire and committment. If we have the same tactics and the same players as saturday we will be relegated. I agree that we have the nucleus of the team but that is about it. Brew was both a bad manager and a scapegoat. Great shout and must be on the agenda. But if it had been in December ??

Wind up question - needs serious answer
I smell a cheeky beastie has had a hand in that.

SACK THE BOARD
Is that really such a preposterous suggestion ?

Wind up question - needs serious answer
If you were a former player at a high level - Chris Sutton. Or a tried and tested coach with a pay packet - Knox. Or already in the Scotland National set up and TV to boot - Butcher. Really tell me the truth. If you had watched the recent games, read the recent press, went on to the website, looked at the present squad and the closing transfer window, if you sought the thoughts of people who have left the club recently, would they be able to see through the flannel ? - What would you be thinking ? Me - fer starters - I will try to get as much out of this to benefit maself as possible, grab a six month contract and shoot at the end of the season. If the club goes down I have all the excuses I need - If the club survives I will be viewed as a minor miracle worker. They are interested ma erse - feels a bit like the Neil Warnock / Owen coyle saga methinks. SO - What would you be thinking ? Answer a) in the here and now : Answer If the job was advertised in early Dec 08 ?

Maybe Black is Correct
But the one thing that the new guy needs is TIME - and he aint feckin got that - thanks to the ineptitude (yet again) of our Management. We have got a couple of creators - Black is being punished and humiliated - Vigurs is getting hooked most of the time - and apart from 20 mins in the second half Cowie has been given no specific role. . As fer the strike force - well it has all been said - and they even went back to Wood on his lonesome on Saturday. It was quite clear who picked the team on Saturday - The "old school" and the latest signings were in favour once again. At times we looked pretty but once we hit the final third we looked clueless - much like Gatheussi did at rite back. The system fer weeks is try to defend as long as possible without conceeding and hit them on the break - Give us all a feckin break. Lets just say thank feck fer dead ball situations.

Grant Munro @ left back?
But who (plural) led us into a crisis ?
-
THE GOOD OLD DAYS
Would have been even better if we had somebody in charge who knew what they were feckin doin.

IAN BLACK
Ok another repeat thread but interesting that it hasnt been brought up. WHAT IS THE POINT OF PUTTING HIM ON THE BENCH WITH NO EVIDENT INTENTION OF BRINGING HIM ON ? - THAT IS THREE FECKIN GAMES NOW YESTERDAY WE MAY HAVE SAVED THE GAME IF WE HAD AN ALTERNATIVE. BUT HE WENT DOWN IN MY ESTIMATION YESTERDAY WHEN HE APPEARED TO SPEND MORE TIME BONDING WITH THE JAM TART SUPPORT. HE COULD HAVE CHANGED THE GAME YESTERDAY - EITHER PLAY HIM or OFFLOAD HIM or BANISH HIM TO THE RESERVES. Sorry Gillian - This one comes from the head and the heart.

Countdown Mark 2
EXACTLY - the peeple in charge of this club are trying to bamboozle us by using Brewster as a scapegoat and looking to take a big name in - They may even break the bank to prevent Robbo - They are to blame - they should be MADE to stand up and explain why they backed Brewster until mid january and to explain the debacle of tactical ineptness that occured at Tynie yesterday. How can any new manager be expected to take this on and have his own say in it ? DISGRACEFUL - WE THE FANS HAVE BEEN LET DOWN.

Kissing the badge
:D :021: :thumb04: :018: ;) Now why didnt I think of that !! - possibly cos im not a contortionist but I could always get some other cnuts to kiss it.

The Geography dilemma
Scotty / Charlie - would you come to Sneck fer feckin peanuts and a Club which has a very, very poor - and falling - reputation in its Management structure ?

Countdown Mark 2
That thread got clogged up but it is possibly the most important topic of our season. We have to remember that it is our Board who supported Brewster until mid January when he quite clearly, in the best interests of the club should have been feckin booted out in early December at least - apart from putting Roy at left back yesterday what have Grassa and co actually changed - SFA. If we get a new manager on Tuesday what feckin chance does he have - bet he asks fer a 6 month contract - if the Board also quash the obvious need to take on Robbo and feck their internal nonsense. At Tynie we had the spirit restored - we have the commitment - we have the energy - we have the resolve - we have the fitness - we probably have the loyal support - BUT we dont have consistency - we dont have a settled team - we dont have a settled system (home or away) - we dont have creativity and we dont have a striker (s). We hardly ever look like scoring from open play - we rely on the dead ball ploy - we have nobody to create in midfield - or anybody played in that position. We went fer Tokely and Duncan to play central midfield - give me a feckin break. We can look pretty but as soon as we get into the final third - unless it is a dead ball - we are fecked. I am very concerned - as ma wee friend Hairy alluded to - that we may be too late - the feckin Board have sat on this fer too long and it has totally backfired on them - They are as much to blame as Brewster - nae feckin more. And look at some of the tactical decisions yesterday - FECKIN SHOCKING. We need a creative midfielder and a striker or we could be fecked ? So dont get hung up that it will be better without Brewster cos the peeple to blame are still in their jobs.

McBain's Red Card
At the game it just looked like a clumsy challenge - stand on yer feet and you dont give a diver the excuse to dive. Roy should be docked wages for unprofessionalism and leeting the side down. BUT HEY - RYAN ESSON KICKING LUMPS OUT OF THE PENALTY SPOT HAS TO GO DOWN AS ONE OF THE FECKIN FUNNIEST MOMENTS IN ICT HISTORY - CLASSIC - WAS IT CAUGHT ON ALBA ?
