Well it is evidently difficult for me to comment on the game but once again Brew's formation totally puzzles me. I suspect that Munro could not have been fully fit and that is why he played Maguire and Duff - He has perserved with Duff so he really has to stay in the team at Tynie - if Maguire survives Brew may have to prepare for some long knives. Why doesnt he give McBain another run at left Back ? Rosscoe is a marked man by the opposition at home - time to let Proctor have a go. How long did he keep Cowie and Vigurs on the wrong foot ? Vigurs may be the one to keep in the side - why not play Vigurs and Imrie wide away at Tynie and put Cowie in the centre ? Playing Wood from the start is appalling - Has Barrowman been upsetting Brew ? I didnt think that Rooney was match fit last week - Barrowman looks more like the player to be up front on his tod away from home. Please, please go back to 4-5-1 next week and stop picking yer favourites.

He is on feckin fire - that must be two goals in eight games.

Mr Shears has a really good point and as I said it would probably carry a lot more clobber if remarks and comments are passed by others rather than the usual suspects. Perhaps summat in the programme describing Boardroom Banter may entice others to comment on the forum - they can have any user name and that is practically anonymised if they want to post their comments. The concerns raised have to be on behalf of the support and not the Internet minority. Me - I go to most away games but if I come home I am usually well oiled, get a lift to the game and get somebody at the front of the queue to grab ma gash. The only item I could comment on is the stewarding. :thumb04: -
**** me - cant wait to talk about feckin football again.

IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER replied to CELTIC1CALEY3's topic in General Football
But it doesnt just happen in WeegieLand: Five accused of attack on ex-ICT player FOUR men and a woman appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday in connection with assaults on three men in the city centre on Sunday morning, one of them a former Caley Thistle player, now captain of Elgin City. David Hind (26) is Elgin City's longest-serving player. He signed from Inverness Caley Thistle in 2001 and has made more than 200 appearances. But for the appreciation of Birdog - It sure brought back lovely memories of kicking the shi* out of the Elgin on Stephens Brae. -
From the Courier: The goals may not have flowed as freely as he may have liked, but Barrowman remains unfazed, maintaining that even Real Madrid and Holland striker Ruud van Nistelrooy would have found it difficult to score had he played for Caley Thistle in the fixtures with Accies and Hibs. "You can only score goals if you get chances," he stated. "I'm not a magician and while you can create something yourself, any striker needs decent service. It's no secret that we didn't play particularly well against both Hamilton and then Hibs, but I think even someone like van Nistelrooy would have struggled to find his way to goal in those games. :thumb04:

DOH I started off with - Here is a draft letter of proposal folks - We evidently have to agree on the initial items for discussion and some suggestion pertaining to each as well - what do ya think ? And in the letter I added - We also intend to support any concerns raised with constructive suggestions on how we feel that the identified issues can be alleviated or lessened. We intend to do likewise in regard to any suggestion made to make improvements in aspects of the clubs profile and reputation in the local community. I left the feckin points blank - so that they could be debated and free fer peeple - like you - to put down their comments. -
I have always felt that the Double D's give ya the best entertainment.

I could write a book !! Yer all a wee bit too young but the memories of Rod The Mod invading the pitch in a three piece white suit and platform shoes, Dan Fridge and the Whippet racing, The **** (Murdo) from Elgin taking on the Howden End by himself, Arnie and Willie Fraser having a sprint race (imagine that now!!), Jimmy Calder sitting on the bar - most recent being put under surveillance by the polis for a threatened streak. :thumb04: :018:

Here is a draft letter of proposal folks - We evidently have to agree on the initial items for discussion and some suggestion pertaining to each as well - what do ya think ? SEPTEMBER 2008 FOR THE ATTENTION OF MR GRAEME BENNETT (DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL ? INVERNESS CALEDONIAN THISTLE F.C.) FROM ? THE MEMBERS / POSTERS ON CALEYTHISTLEONLINE. Dear Grasser, We have become concerned about a lack of perceived communication between the club and the supporters. There is an inherent belief that the ?close-knit?, family type feel of the early days has disintegrated as the club has established itself in the SPL. The previous sense of ?openness? and shared debate appears to have become diluted and some fans have become quite disillusioned that despite some persistent concerns being raised and/or some constructive suggestions being forwarded, they are rarely afforded any degree of feedback from the club itself. It feels that this continuing lack of communication has created a ?divide? and many posts have become over personalised and the frustration of the unresponsiveness projected on to members of the Board, the management and the players. Lack of communication and feedback leads to rumours, rumours lead to ?Chinese whispers? and are embellished from minor irritations into major debates. Inverness Caledonian Thistle is a small club, the fan base are loyal and usually dependable. There is a strong sense at present that there is a need to mend some of the positive links and ?bridges? that pre-existed. We need to reinstate the sense of togetherness and openness and create a forum where questions can be freely asked and responses are open and forthright. We would, therefore wish to propose the following initiatives: Initially we would welcome the re-introduction of the ?Boardroom Banter? thread on CaleyThistleOnline. This could take the form of a monthly dialogue between the club and the supporters. The thread would consist of an agenda of items, which could be discussed, action planned and reviewed on a regular basis ? in the concept of a Standing Agenda. CaleyThistleOnline could appoint one of the Senior Moderators to update the Standing Agenda each month and the club could appoint an individual to respond on behalf of the club. We would endeavour to limit the number of items on each Agenda to six. We would also endeavour to prioritise items regarding issues regarding facilities and off the field issues. We appreciate that items pertaining to internal club affairs and comments about team and/or individual performances on the field can often become heated, controversial and potentially damaging to our relationship. We intend to leave those debates to the confines of the Forum but we would appreciate one Standing item to allow the club to provide us with their comments on the previous months performances and advise us of any pertinent developments from the playing side perspective. We also intend to support any concerns raised with constructive suggestions on how we feel that the identified issues can be alleviated or lessened. We intend to do likewise in regard to any suggestion made to make improvements in aspects of the clubs profile and reputation in the local community. We would wish to stress at this juncture that we are willing to assist the club in any way that we can to attain the solutions and we will understand if the club provides us with a clear rationale as to any reason that the club feels that action cannot be taken at that specific time. We understand that you have arranged to meet with Scott MacKenzie (Scotty) on Saturday 26th September, prior to the home tie against Kilmarnock. We appreciate that your meeting is geared at coming to an agreement in regard to the format of the communications but we would hope that you would also take the suggestions contained within this correspondence strongly into consideration. The proposed Agenda Items prioritised for initial discussion are as follows: Advertising Boards constraining the views of Disabled Supporters. Car parking. Free or reduced price tickets to local schools. Stewarding Revenue building suggestions Club feedback on this seasons performance ? any playing developments. Free travel and accommodation to Home games for IHE. -
All the feckin materials would have been nicked anyway..that is why the Dens boys can afford it. Back to Rosscoe - Its just like watching CAFU.

Well done Scotty - I take it that lunch and drinkies will be placed on the clubs expense sheet. I am on nights fer three shifts - I have been in and out of feckin A&E all night tonite but hopefully will get a quiter spell and I will put a draft together. -
The Coias usually go to Midden. RIG - Pittodrie was like an away day - I was pished most times I went there - there was a dedicated bunch of diehards involved and we stuck together - we also had the drums - we could stand and sing and nobody gave a ****.
-
That is what frustrated me on Saturday. IMHO both full backs were there fer the taking and I actually thought that Cowie and Vigurs would have been far more effective playing on their natural sides.
-
The "communication" issue is doing ma feckin napper in so lets continue to be feckin sensible. Lets put together a proper proposal fer a communication link (of whatever form) and start up a Stading Agenda: Put on this thread your proposal for a Standing agenda item - the desired outcome - a sensible proposal. Then state how you would wish to have the communication dealt with - Fans Forum; Internet thread; Regular meeting of a standing membership, representative of both factions. How often should they run ? Let it run for a while and then I will put together the finished article with Terms of Reference.
-
Yes - I feckin know that - but he played Cowie on the left and Vigurs on the rite all through the Bairns match. All I am saying is that they should be switching as well - especially when it was clear that both were getting space but were struggling to deliver the final ball and despite having the space and time to do so either turned back on to their good foot or attempted the cross/pass with their poor foot and the delivery was poor/wasted. I can remmeber when I last saw ICT get to the dead ball line so often.

INVERNESS CALEDONIAN THISTLE I feckin hate technology !! INVERNESS CALEDONIAN THISTLE That is better and on scale. Aye the Recession is hitting hard - will make most of the away games except Tannadice - hoping to drive up fer Morton as well. First Home Alone will probably be fer the Motherwell game. Have to save up fer Hong Kong - Anyway Dick - what do you think about Dick ? [edited for font accuracy :thumb04: ] -
Just have a look at the "clues" Alex and try and read between the lines - why have we not secured anybody this transfer window and why are we stalling on some contracts ? The rumours are rife that we got stuffed by Savage - as a retaliatory blow to Sutherland - that Marius took more than we bargained for - his agent demanded a hefty fee - the price was reduced and allowed to come in installments. Yet another "veil of secrecy" at TCS as certain "members" attempt to conceal the fact that they have been outmanouevered and were very management naieve. A clear statement from the club would help even if ity makes them look silly.

I have only ever seen him play once for Canada and he looked solid in central defence. What position/s has he got his caps in ? By the way I do have ICT tattoed on ma member - well that is what it says when limp - but when I get aroused it says INVERNESS CALEDONIAN THISTLE. -
I am reliably informed that not only Niculae got a pay off but so did his agent and a return of shares to Orion (in Kind) plus the transfer monies that are left have only been partly paid by Dinamo Bucharest - still may all be peeple at the club trying to wind me up ??
-
No - just a fantasist - a bit like thinking that marius Niculae could make a difference. But lets get serious - why does Brew persist on playing people on their less favoured peg ?
