  1. I am a part timer and proud of it. I have even travelled many miles to home games and I was happy just to witness a small part of the proceedings before departing. The credit crunch is hitting us all. And why travel all the distance when it is on Setanta. Personally I have always felt that there was a lack of wummin at the games - but they are probably scared off by all the gorgeous burds we have already.
  2. It is interesting that we have not had a surge of posts about the negatives at Tannadice - well done to absent friend as this is a good debate to have. Maguire has been a good defender fer 90-95% of his games. Duff is evidently the popular local replacement. It looks like that experience is the main things that separate them. My feelings are: Maguire has never, at a gut feeling to me, ever appeared to really gel into this team; Maguire has never really appeared to gel in to any type of partnership with Munro - whatever the reason; Maguire is prone to the odd mistake in every game which has cost us goals and points; Maguire is however experienced and appeared to help Duff through the early games; Maguire is a real threat at attacking set pieces; Depend what you want but Maguire would be a really useful full back and cover fer central defence. Duff is another local lad come true; He may be as loyal as munro and IMHO has more potential; Munro and Duff may be the local hero dream. Basically we NEED a really experienced central defender Comments -
  3. Alan Pressley and ?
  4. I cant stand feckers who ignore me. Och aye the noo - where have ya feckin been buddy ?
  5. That was a feckin good feedback gillian - remind me to show ya how to use the smileys. How is yer sons shoulder today ?
  6. Another Leeds fan? Me - No - I am no Yorkshire Dingle - I abide in Chorley FM.
  7. Well at least Brew has been looking in at the forum and he is beginning to assume our tactical advice !! Fraser Rosscoe Duff Munro McBain Cowie Black/Vigurs Duncan Imrie Wilson Barrowman Against the OF - home or away - it simply has to be 4-5-1.
  8. I didnt think that Brew would get dished the dirt at Tannadice. He is a leg end there and I am sure that they will be the team he supports, after ICT of course. It must have been difficult for him as it must feel like you are batting for both sides.
  9. :thumb04: :018: Ralph Milne ya fairy - its called sarcasm - but you always stick up fer Brew - FACT Trust you to think about a mans bottom !! Of course there have been lots of previous gossip - FACT
  10. We will go marching on together Marko.
  11. At least it looks like Brew is at long last coming to terms with the player selection - Gutted about Black - was waiting to see him and Duncan pairing up again. How did the midfield five line up and play thereafter ? How did Rosscoe and Hastings fare ?
  12. That is feckin rich coming from a Special Brew loving Arab :018: :thumb04: I am sober - on call - and just had a DSH - DOA - to me that puts life into perspective. Look up the abbreviations ya ****. And go on - push the abuse button fer that. ;) What I have said is from the heart - YOU cant do that.
  13. Does anyone else share my complete fascination in regard to how Brew shapes up tactically at Tannadice. Personally I think that he has bowed to pressure by changing the team and the tactics for Killie - will his arrogance allow him to continue ? will he stick by the old school ? The reaction of the players will say a lot tomorrow - Brew has been put under unfair pressure becos of rumour and the media - I still cant believe that it wasnt a wider rumour b4 but enuff of that - these are times that the players stick behind the manager and I cant see many of the Arabs joining into too much abuse chanting - given his history with them He quite simply has to go 4-5-1 - Big choice betweeen Barrowman and Rooney - Falkirk said B / Tynie said R. B must be the fave in a 4-5-1. Esson or Fraser - Reckon he will stick to Mike - Big, big game fer Fraser - a **** up and a spell on the bench basically - but Mike was in a very similiar position after Killie last season and look what he did at Ibrox. He deserves the chance. Rosscoe or Proctor - Me - Proctor but it will be Rosscoe for a lot of reasons. Reckon Arabs will be totally zoning in on Rosscoe. He will evidently stick to Maguire and Granty - Another lapse from Maguire and Duff will come in. He is another on a knife edge. Hastings is void going forward but he is a defender - but he needs a left side dropper back in front of him - Vigurs would be my choice. He has to play Duncan in the hole. Will he perservere with Royster - I hope not. So it is a mega game for us and Brewster. Good luck Brew - ya will need it - **** up and the vultures will turn into undertakers. Hastings will stay - he may be void going forward but
  14. II love you Scotty - I am one of the goodie boys.
  15. READ MA FECKIN LIPS! STILL EARLY DAYS. Get off his back and let him get on with it. Early days - he has been Mr Jekyll and Mr feckin Hyde fer over a feckin year now, pissed off many a player and many a fan with his schizophrenic tactics. Just co ya feel sorry fer him in his personal life does not mean that you cant have a go at him cos he is ballsing it up on the pitch. Get real and stop erselicking the mods. The Fat Slags can look after themselves.
  16. Away with ya - ya feckin creep. Brewster is still on a sticky wicket - Ya can have sympathy with his lack of privacy but the players turned it around cos he changed his tactics due to pressure. He still has a long, long way to go - one good result doesnt do it.
  17. I feel that it is worse when ya get 100 feckin per cent beside yer name. :thumb04: Is it not a bit of a shame that peeple cant stick to sarcastic banter rather than engage in volatile slagging. If this carries on I am going to go to Arbroath or Shrewsbury - at least their grounds are more welcoming. Hang on a feckin second - how feckin come I have got 30% ?
  18. I fair miss watching the reserves and the Under 19's - what is the craic with this lad - please tell me that he has a bit more pace and a bit more movement. Despite some comments to the contrary our coaching staff are producing SPL potential players and that can only be good for the future. So here is to Shane and the coaching staff. :thumb04:
  19. This thread has signs of deteriorating already - lets just concentrate on the feckin football - fer fecks sake we were on the feckin floor yeterday, in the proverbial brown stuff and we still managed to come from behind.
  20. I would agree to sticking with a winning 4-5-1 but I am still worried about both full backs away from home and I feel that Duncan has to go back in the "hole". I reckon that would mean dropping McBain - I would put him at left back and hook Hastings. Fer fecks sake - what on earth has Proctor done to gain an instant recall ?!!
  21. Thanks Stan - it looks like Brew may be beginning to think out the tactics a bit more clearly - cant help but think that he may well have been swayed by public - or inside - opinion though. It worries me that Brew is now beginning to come in line with the tactical thinking of many on this forum - Shouldnt that be the other way around !!
  22. I take it that we played a 4-5-1 ? Where did we actually line up - as in tactically ?
  23. Lets look at this from another angle - You are Jim Jeffries. If ICT played the 4-4-2 it would be sweet music. You have the best defence in the SPL and two "rookies" up front. Ya flood yer midfield. Ya play two wide men and push them on to Tokely and Hastings. Nish runs the line, ya concentrate on harassing Black, with a pacy forward in the hole and ya block out the easy ball out of defence - ya push ICT in the long ball option - lubbly jubbly. Ya play it wide and take on the full backs - as most away teams at TCS do nowadays. Ya go fer the jugular from the off - an early goal and ya can assume a bit of control - hold the line but keep the width, ya can afford to let ICT come at you and look at the counter attack. We go 4-5-1 - with pace and width and go from the off - and against Killie we have a real chance. Our defence has to keep a high line - Duff and McBain (at full back) would be an added bonus there. Duncan guards the hole and gives Black more opportunity to play. Play Cowie in a Bazza role (wide right) and play Vigurs or Imrie out wide. we hit from midfield with the ball, rather than hitting the front two. Rooney plays the target man - a la Niculae - and looks to feed pace coming across him and past him.
  24. I sense that you are beginning to catch ma drift dude.
  25. I am not wholly attributing the blame on Brewster. 1. There has been undoubted mismanagement and Brewster has undoubtedly not had the spondoolachs to attract a better class of player. 2. The players have been inconsistent and there are a few who are not up to scratch this season. BUT I am saying that the blame is largely attributed to BREWSTER. I have highlighted inadequacies in his tactics on several occasions and, on most occassions, my observations have been widely supported by others at the games in question. If anything I was one of the few who tried to rally round him at the start but IMHO he is still making the same errors as he was last season. The professional players must be frustrated by this and his attitude towards some must also rankle. The "togetherness" at ICT IMHO has been missing since Brewster arrived. Add 2 and 2 together. And it WILL be the players who turn us round. Brew can either assist or **** that by changing his systems. BUT the players playing for their manager is a big, big bonus. The manager inspiring the players is a big, big bonus. That simply aint happening. Are some players putting in poor performances becos they are not being played in the position most suited to them ? A silly example is - if you were a left winger with a poor right foot but delivered a mean ball with yer left - how would you feel about being played deeper on the right. The fault would be down to the manager more than the player.
